    This is more detailed but one of my brothers draws mixed creatures some times on his computer 💻 and the other brother does 3D modeling and some times he models figures or people for video games. What is the ruling

      Same ruling, the prohibition is on all things that have souls like animals, humans, werewolves etc.

    Salam Sheikh, I think the point where photos can’t be properly deleted isn’t 100% true. You can erase data by overwriting the physical location on the hard drive where the photo is stored with arbitrary data. This can be done with freely available software.
    However I don’t expect the average person to understand or know how to do this so it better for sisters not to take the photo in the first place.

      A more important point is your device is connected to the internet. No matter how secure you think it is there is a possibility that some program malicious or normal will upload it to the cloud and at that point you have no control over what happens.

    So we cant take photos or pictures of ourselves with our children as covered hijabi mom with family photos for memory? Is this not allowed?im confused,subhanallah i know he says women can't be photographed meaning if they are naked in anyway but if covered then it should be okey right? I also have one photo of my father who passed away 30 years go during civil war in my country, may allah mercy on him, it's the only memory i have of him since i was 2 when he died..

      It can be retrieved at any moment it’s not truly yours only and the deceased photos aren’t permissible. He answers your question at 9:07. It’s a form of shirk

    Jazahk Sheik. Pls this draws my attention to video games in which characters are digitally created. Assuming the game meets the minimum halal requirements (no music, nudity, violence, shirk, and islamophobia) what about the drawings of the characters? (As I've just learnt from you that its a major sin on the creator)

    • @s0bad
      @s0bad ปีที่แล้ว

      If it's just a copy of living people and the image hasn't been doctored to create something new and it isn't exposing women to strangers then it should be fine to print. Whether it is physical or virtual would be irrelevant. Having said that, the risk with a physical copy is that it could be worshipped unwittingly or otherwise. Some people tend to treat photos of dead people with Reverence and talk to it, pray to it etc. At dojos they have photos of dead masters and bow to it.

    • @simpleguy8500
      @simpleguy8500 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@s0bad the risk begins when one captures the image not when he prints it!! The word image in my opinion covers all type of images of living things whether it's through camera or by hands. That's why no one has ever gave any sound explanation and I don't think any human can ever do that. Haram is haram except in the case of necessity and certain circumstances. And Allāh knows best. The hadith doesn't differentiate between drawings and other type of images if you were to differentiate then you can even say that sculptures are haram but drawing is halal or vice versa while all of these are haram.

    Is it permissible to draw non living things? And even though plants are living being can we draw them?

    Thanks for the great video Sheikh… just a quick question on image making and drawing…. Does this apply to all images? Or just those that imitate living things? Fir example, can I draw a picture of t-shirt, or perhaps can I 3-D model someone wear a t-shirt and face without including the face?

    I have to say the arguments of this video are weak and I'm not convinced of the distinction made between photography/video videography and other art forms and images. Shaykh Yusuf al Qardawi states in in his book halal Wal haram FIL Islam that it is art dedicated to create idols that people worship, that is haram. I find this a more plausible argument. Photography is also an art form, so adre videos. You can adjust the lighting an effects to bring about a certain composition and mood etc. The problem with declaring art totally haram is that you have to be consistent, this discussion is full of holes as far as I'm concerned.

    • @123s645123
      @123s645123 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      The hadith is crystal clear, where does it say in the sunnah that it is only forbidden if it's made for shirk purposes? I wouldn't trust fatwas that are based on "logic" with disregard for the text. As for the photo / video being art, the sheikh made a great comparison to a mirror, as for editing photos and videos to make them look better etc. then islamqa says that's haram so it is indeed consistent.
      Akhi my advice is that usually people who argue about this subject, along with music, generally do it because they are already commited to it in some way or as a hobby, but the hereafter is not worth losing for something clear.

      The answer is pictures aren’t mimicking the creation of Allah, because you are capturing a picture OF the creation of Allah. If I take a picture of my cat or if I draw a picture of my cat, I would say that the photograph is my cat and drawing is me trying to mimick what Allah has created my cat to be
