Nice one Tom. The more effort and time you put into catching that fish , the bigger and better the buzz when you finally get it . Hopefully this winter 🙌 might see you on the river

Dont want to be giving away the spots lad just cause of the amount of pouching and stuff like that but almost all the large rivers in ireland have good pike fishing 👊🎣
I have caught several pikes up to 24 lbs on spinnerbaits, never had any issues. I use a trailer hook though, where I mount a grub. Franglais Fishing sells some handmade US made ones, that will last you a lifetime. IMO, hook size should be in relation to the rest of your tackle. If you fish with HW gear, you have more leverage, so you will need a hook that has a firmer grip not to damage the fish. But there are no garanties on blood-sports.
There very good lure alright but im not really a fan of big single hooks for pike...id rather have 2 smallee treble hooks...but that might just be me...i might rig my large spinnerbait with treble hooks if i can 👊🎣
@@tsnfishing3784 , I mostly use in heavy weed cover, then I can grind them right trough it. Here single hooks, and a pair of long willow blades will keep the bait clean.
