In this edition of Tarikh, Nikhil narrates the story of Rani Karnavati of Garhwal Kingdom. In 1632 after the death of King Mahipat Karnavati became queen reagent. Mughal Emperor ShahJahan Ordered Mughal forces to attack Srinagar, capital of Garhwal. Karnavati not only defeated Mughal forces but she was also made Mughal soldiers to severe their nose. This is was the stupidity of Rajputs, when they had moments to crush the enemies, they allowed them to give safe passage out of chivalry and ego. Chauhan did the same to Ghori, there are many examples.
And in return, Mughals, Arabs, Persians and Afghan slaughtered the civilians, enslaved and raped. I wish, they had little more ruthlessness with their enemies.

Aurangzeb was nothing. Jaisingh was gaddar. It's the Rajput king who worked for him. Our differences allowed Muslim rulers to rule here. Just Chatrapati Shivaji wasted Aurangzeb's 20 years in Deccan and he left without anything.
Aurangzeb could hv finished Shivaji in a day but he was kind.

@@theclub891 I fully support it. The kingdom was more important than brother. A country with billions couldn't be handed to someone who was novice. It was not murder, but fight, and Hindi scriptures are full of such fights. One has to win and other lose.
@@theclub891 kind...means Aurangzeb had many options.. he was at the peak of his power, shivaji couldn't even think of touching him, but to rule over entire India, those areas who are not in his control, could hv become gate of danger, so he had to control or limit the Maratha who was controlling some parts in south still under Aurangzebs India.
Just take it like UP inside India and independent ruler.
