When Ciri is in the sauna with the two women and they ask about her tattoo, she says it was for someone who died. This, and the tattoo itself, are references to the book. Ciri joined a gang, met a girl, and they were companions. The following dialogue about her preferring women is also a reference to that. (I'd say lovers, but it's implied that Ciri was mostly just lonely).
@@xLetalis Such a good read! Theres so many cool little Easter eggs in the game that you find afterwards. I love sharing them, since no one I know read the series or plays the game. Enjoy the Easter egg hunt!
You sound like a perfectionist, no need to stress that much over a video, it's great! You managed to dig up quite a bit while working on this! Keep it up.
That's right! I'd forgotten about Morvris. That line of dialogue was what tipped the scales in me deciding whether or not to have the Ciri Witcher ending in my first playthrough. When I heard that line, I went "Yep, that's it. Ciri's not becoming empress."
If there is ever a fourth witcher game, then Ciri has to be the player character. Geralt’s story has been told, and now it’s time for Ciri’s. Just think about all of the potential extra abilities you can add in, such as her space senses and her Jedi powers. Along with small sign additions like Quen and Axii, you have the ultimate playable badass. If CDPR canonizes the Witcheress ending, then maybe Ciri can go on a quest to retake her throne due to some usurper taking it from her father Emhyr. Like why not a multi-perspective story involving an older Ciri and a whole new cast of characters, including a cameo from Geralt.
Ciri couldn't learn Signs when she was in training as a child, I don't think it was ever properly explained why not. But some form of power based on her innate abilities could definitely work as a stand in, the extent of what a mutant prodigy of the Elder Blood could achieve is definitely up in the air.
@@triton2397 I believe it would be boring for CD project red to continu a story with already known/same characters. But since the main characters are too loved by the fans to let go. It would be more awesome if Ciri 3rd grand grand grand kid. Wants to become a witcher. The Witcher schools had finally rebuild themself. And for the best witchers there is a master of Witcher exam. You'll learn step by step. But the last master of all the schools will be a 400 year old Geralt who is meditating in the mountains. Because of the time gap they can make a magical medieval steam era.
Problem with that is it essentially forces that ending on all players. I would prefer a game where you can make your own witcher, either set before Geralt or after the events of 3 (It's implied in an earlier cut scene that the school of the wolf may take new recruits. And you know portals did open with more monsters pouring through at the end of the game)
Idk, this game is top 5 favorite games I've ever played, but if one thing sucks about Witcher, it's boss fights to me(I am not talking about DLCs tho). Gameplay is okay, but not good.
Small details you may have missed in The Witcher 3: The whole game. That's it, that's the list. In every video, I check and I usually know one or two. But there's so much I missed! CD Project, you mad, amazing people.

@@xLetalis 1.) If left alone in a village/town, she will start looking for some shelter/food on her own (works with other horses as well). 2.) I recently subscribed as I'm on my 4th playthrough and I love following up on the things I've missed, thanks to these videos! I just finished up on the Isle of Mist again and I noticed a few things that I think deserve mention! 1) An 8th dwarf! After going to the dwarf that falls off the cliff and dies, instead of going back toward the cabin, if you go the other way along the coast, you can go through a cave. There's a dead dwarf there! There's no mention of him, so maybe he wasn't with the 7 dwarves, but as far as I know, he's the only non-decomposed body on the isle. 2) Gaspard knows Mr. Nibbles (the cat)! When you first approach the Sleepy dwarf in the lighthouse he says, in his sleep "Shh back to bed Nibbles". Then the first time he falls asleep while escorting him, he says "Oh Nibbles, you's a naughty kitty, ain't ya?" I didn't catch what he says the second time he falls asleep. I did have to look up Nibbles, but it turns out he's the only cat in the game that isn't afraid of Geralt and he turns up throughout the game! This further connects these damn dwarves to the rest of the game! 3) This one is hugely speculation, but could be BIG! Ciri foreshadows Cyberpunk 2077!!! After Geralt enters the cabin and brings Ciri back, she tells her tale. She mentions Avallac'h and her travelling to a world where Eredin can't find them. They stay for a year. If you ask what it was like, she tells you about people with metal in their heads and flying cars. NOW I'm not well versed in Cyberpunk, but I'll Definitely be playing it and this sounds EXACTLY like the trailer appears!! I think these 3 points alone make the Isle of Mists worthy of a video! And I'm SURE there are more things you can find that I missed!
Does anyone else get a tear in their eyes when Ciri surrounds her body with power and wrecks the Wild Hunt just before facing Caranthir? Everything about that scene just gets me
Battle of Kear Morhen. Things don't go well. Geralt meets Hjalmar just chilling on the wall of the fortress Hjalmar: -Ahh, Geralt, how are things? ... Now I finally feel relief that in my game Skellige is in the right hands of Cerys.
I honestly prefer game ciri, although I like the more edgy and slightly evil ciri from the books--the things that happen to her in the books are disturbing and make me dread her showing up. Ciri in the games looks more like geralt and is a rare helpful and polite person in the world
Morvran Voorhis does become the next Emperor after Emhyr. The mention of him is in 4th book Time of Contempt in prologue for 5th chapter. It is like this: Evertsen Petr; * 1234, representative with power of the Emperor Emhyr Deithwen and one of de facto creators of the power of the empire. A Chief chamberlain of military at the age of Northern wars ( link ), since year 1290 Supreme treasurer of crown. In final era of Emhyr's rule promoted to the rank of Coauditor of the Empire. At rulership of the Emperor Morvran Voorhis falsely acused of abuse of power, convicted and imprisoned. Died in 1301 in a castle Winneburg. Post-mortum rehabilitated by the Emperor Ian Calweit in year 1328. Effenberg and Talbot: Encyclopedia Maxima Mundi, vol V If something doesn't seem ok, remember I was translating from czech language and word like ,,zplnomocněnec'' which I translated as ,,representative with power'' has no real direct translation in english language, acording to Google traslate.
@@lancephaggs Hmm ... I know the logic plot choice for that ending. I just cant imagine what happen with Skellige if Ciri is the Empress. Does Hjalmar ( assuming he is the king of Skellige ) keep on raiding Nilfgard coast? So thats why my personal choice is Ciri is empress, and Cerys is queen. In my thought those are the best for both. Skellige campaign wont went across the shore, and Hjalmar out of shame live as an outcast/pirate.

Just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your videos. You put in a lot of time and effort and got me interested to play the game again with more attention to detail.
Little addition to the Movran Voorhis Emperor thing: In the books there is a plot to overthrow Emhyr and one of the people who are responsible for the plot suggests Movran Voorhis' father as a possible new emperor and another person argues that Movran Voorhis would be a better candidate, because he'd be easier to influence, as he is still pretty young at the time.
A little detail I noticed was that when you fight the wild hunt towards they end. Ciri one-hits the enemies while Geralt needs a few more hits, which shows basically how strong Ciri is compared to Geralt
In-game performance like that isn't a good indicator of lore strength. Geralt two-three shots most wild hunt warriors/hounds in the battle of kaer morhen, where the other witchers do maybe a tenth of their health per swing, where canonically, they're all very capable fighters who are roughly comparable in strength.
One very subtle thing that maybe wasn't mentioned so far (frankly, too many comments already, I haven't got all day to check :P ): From the very beginning she's wearing a witcher medallion... just not a wolf one and not around her neck. I saw it by chance playing her for the first time, in that wolf king quest. It's a cat school thingie (edit: worn on her belt, so yeah, good luck finding it if you don't already know about it...), which in the books she took from the corpse of her great nemesis (along with one wolf medallion she gave to Geralt and one griffin that she handed over to Yen). Gotta love how they thought of so SO many small and - technically - irrelevant details... ;)
@The Man With No Name Not much about him is written in the books. Though I recall he is described in Gwent as far les into war than Emhyr, more of a diplomat emperor. Conquering and winning battles with more underhand methods.

4:57 It reminded me the bug I encountered after killing "bears" at the Skellige feast. You could talk to someone (can't remember who) right before the cut-scene. It then would be successfully triggered. But instead of a normal conversation panel, you'd be stuck in the loading screen but everything is working in the background-you can ask questions, there are other noises, etc. To contiune you would've got to blindly choose the "so long" option, which is quite easy though. Maybe it's because of the special game engine CDPR used or they're just really careful about it. These kinds of bugs are super rare in my playthrough, despite the fact that I've always been feeling obsessed with pressing the button when you can, thanks to the design by the same company . So I still recall it rather vividly.
The Gaunter O'Dimm scene where he gives you a walkthrough for the best ending was so awesome ... I initially dismissed his fortune telling because ... telling the future? Gaming bullshit, right? But much much later, it all made sense. That totally blew me away. It was practically a walkthrough.
When the choices come up for you to talk, I always start at the last one first, and then work my way up. This way, I get a response to all. I noticed if I always pick # 1, the others don't show up anymore. So it's 4, 3, 2, then 1.
I'm hoping this series lasts as long as TheEpicNate315's top 10's about Skyrim and eventually the videos are titled "5 things you might have missed about the innkeeper of Lindenvale".
You can also get that quote from the general about Ciri if you talk to him in Vizima after beating the game. He will be in the large room while the castle is being packed up. He also said this for me even when I got the ending where the north loses and she becomes a Witcher.
I think it's time someone replayed the playthrough as *Rude Geralt* - dissing everyone if the dialogue box allows it without ramifications... - trying to ignore and insult as many quest givers as possible... - being blunt with all the hotties...if Triss loves u she will accept u for who u are.... *Rude dad but gud in bed* 😁 - selling every raw material possible for gold. - attacking Guards whenever possible and running away to insult their speed further - laughing at the blood baron being a shit dad... - fingering the emperor... - letting triss' ex burn - banging Kiera and then bitch slapping the hoe for lying - killing the bounty hunters and then letting the peller's dad kill him Etc etc
I did all the good ending stuff for ciri on my first playthrough and got the ending where she became a Witcher. Kinda felt Geralt seen her like a daughter so likewise would do things fitting a father and daughter.
Bruh I’m replaying this game on death march (first time on this difficulty) and this series is making my hype ramp even higher. Thanks for the dope content
This detail about Voorhen actually made me reconsider my playthrough a bit. I´d wish there´d be a dialog choice if you had that discussion with him, to tell Ciri about it. Like at the very end before she goes off being the empress, i feel like there should be a small dialog about Voorhen with Geralt being either fine with it or roasting the everloving shit out of the perfuemed donkey.
I am actually OK with Morvan marrying Ciri, he is one of the few characters that don't act like a cunt to you, despite being Nilfgaardian. If she has to learn about the Nilfgaard politics, better do so from him. I mean, all in all I am team Chadovid because mages should burn and because I am not letting an opportunity to cripple Djikstra pass, but if I ever were to suddenly forget my sheer disgust for Emhyr, Voorhis would count as a plus to me at least.
Hey Xletails whenever you do a thing you might have missed in Toussaint i have found a really small yet awesome little detail. When arriving in Toussaint Geralts mentions that the 3rd victim was taken by boat, well you can actually find this boat further down river next to the guarded treasure marker north of the cockatrice inn. It is right next to a Small shack along the river. You can examine 2 spots and Geralts talks about it. Nothing big but a cool little detail i just discovered.

Great find that about Morvran. Considering he was the next Emperor after Emhyr, it makes perfect sense. Even with Ciri as wife as it was never clear if it is the real Ciri or the fake one. Great find man ;)
Another small detail/easter egg: Ciri describing visit to Cyberpunk world. "The world where Eredin couldn't find you". "People had metal in their heads and flying ships. There were no horses."
Love the effort you put into the videos, watched each one of your Witcher 3 videos and also you reply to the comments I love that hope you have a great day sir!
I am so late to this video but I have to leave a comment regarding ciris "Jedi powers", that final bit where you get to play as her with her using them is insane and I'm so sad it's only once, she was so cool in that part. Also, I'm ngl I kinda like Morvran so I wouldn't mind him marrying Ciri
2:42 Like the autopsy in Witcher 1. If you don't check all the possibilities, you will get the wrong conclusion which will lead you to accusing a wrong person and a bit different gameplay from that point on. Of course, the situation you will have to fix when you do find out who actually did it. Not as complicated and detailed as it sounds (after all, how long since the first Witcher game was released), but still an interesting detail.
I believe you can ask Gaunter O'dimm about Ciri even after you find her. I believe I glanced it as one of the dialogue options somewhere... maybe in another video. I didn't do it myself, because I went for saving Olgeird's soul.
Morvran is historically the Emperor after Emhyr. The Witcher books jump around in time here and there and there's also nonlinear excerpts from historical texts in the books that mention how he was the successor to Var Emreis
i almost repeat that before notice this commentary! Yep! in the books there are some parts (mosty at beginning of a chapter) showing extracts of texts that was writed in a future time of the main events .
At the part about G.O.D. telling the player how to save ciri, you said that one of the things that saves her is letting her talk to the sorceresses alone. But I went in with her and she was fine. I can’t say for sure what I did as I only did 1 play through of the game and it was before watching this video. But yea I just wanted to say that I don’t think that it matters if you go in with her. Just a heads up though; I did let ciri do most of the talking when I went in with her if that makes a difference.
It does count as a negative action because it affects her self-confidence but may not change the ending if you manage to get enough positive actions (2/4 or 3/5 depending on whether or not you bring her to meet her dad the Emperor).
Man Leth, watching your videos just makes me all the more hungry to get a high quality desktop for PC gaming. Plus I think you had some cool looking mods on the characters like Triss’ hair and dress, along with Ciri not having eye shadow. So many RPG’s have really breathtaking mods from OP weapons to clothing and cosmetic mods that can give you new options for customizing a characters looks. I always wanted my Commander Shepard to have glowing blue eyes in all 3 of the Mass Effect games.
Not necessarily the immediate next one I think, but certainly an emperor at some point. If someone does not like thinking of this guy as Ciri's husband, they can make their own headcanon and believe she was fed up with being a monarch and just abdicated in his favor :)
Well, at least Morvran Voorhis isn't a bad guy but actually rather nice (though he dearly needs a bit more sun on his face). Also, I think Ciri will have rather a lot to say about her choice of husband, Emhir would be mad to try to foist this on her.
Morvran only seems nice because he is a manipulative politician who probably knows Geralt would string his guts out if he tried to marry Ciri and wants to be on his good side. He is also related to Ciri, so pushing the idea of marriage is incestual
@@alexmendoza7221 Just look up where marrying your cousin is fully acceptable and where it's not. Not saying I'm particularly for it, just that the US code of morality drowns out a much bigger part of the world than itself, due to the US having that much of a presence on the internet.

Like why not a multi-perspective story involving an older Ciri and a whole new cast of characters, including a cameo from Geralt.
Triton 23 a Witcher empress would undoubtedly be the most badass fantasy character ever.

Or what about a witcheress trying to take back her crown? I feel like that has a treasure trove of content waiting to be unleashed.
I found Geralt’s “Mhm” and Ciri’s are very much similar in tone and stuffs. Kinda feels like they influenced one another a lot.
Man, looking at the gameplay In the beginning, it takes me back and it reminds me how great the Bossfights were. Are, sorry!

If you miss the conversation with Morvran, you can always go back to Vizima before the main game ending. He’s always in the hall and will start that same conversation of courting Ciri.
You can even get it in the end game visit to Vizima, where his demeanour is awfully out of place if you got a North wins ending…

3.) If Geralt takes Ciri to Emhir (now who wants to do that in first place?) and refuses payment, he will be offered a black nilfgardian stallion that replaces his trusty mare.
4.) The Roach in Skellige differ from the mainland Roach (the fur is a bit darker).
5.) If you let the Equine Phantoms quest fail (e.g., Geralt running away far enough without Roach during the investigation), once you return to the hermit she will tell you that Roach has solved the quest on her own.

In the novels there are some small excerpts from an encyclopedia. In one of them there is the mentioning of Emhrs successor, one Morvran Voorhis.
I recently subscribed as I'm on my 4th playthrough and I love following up on the things I've missed, thanks to these videos!
:D I'll consider it, thanks for watching!

Now I finally feel relief that in my game Skellige is in the right hands of Cerys.
I honestly prefer game ciri, although I like the more edgy and slightly evil ciri from the books--the things that happen to her in the books are disturbing and make me dread her showing up.
Ciri in the games looks more like geralt and is a rare helpful and polite person in the world
Lauren E what’s ciri like in the books?
@@monajaved2615 haha you will never know
Ciri in the books is too boring. Especially when the narrative goes by her point ov view
Morvran Voorhis does become the next Emperor after Emhyr. The mention of him is in 4th book Time of Contempt in prologue for 5th chapter. It is like this:
Evertsen Petr; * 1234, representative with power of the Emperor Emhyr Deithwen and one of de facto creators of the power of the empire.

So Morvran actually managed to shag Ciri?
@@fajaradi1223 Well, not exactly. In the books, Ciri never became Empress. She has the "good" endings of the Wild Hunt Game : she became a witcher.
@@lancephaggs
Hmm ...

A Detail that i loved, was that she teased Cyberpunk on the isle. It was so a very nice moment to find out later, that she was in night city.
Ciri Jedi Moment... (sigh) Looks like I have to play a 6th time... (oh darn). Your videos always show me something I've missed! Keep up the good work!
thanks ;] and good luck!
A little detail I noticed was that when you fight the wild hunt towards they end. Ciri one-hits the enemies while Geralt needs a few more hits, which shows basically how strong Ciri is compared to Geralt
Eh, Geralt can OHK them too with a sword focused build and good gear even if not over levelled…
Dramatic battle music playing
Geralt just having a lovely chat with Hjalmar near the pendulums
One very subtle thing that maybe wasn't mentioned so far (frankly, too many comments already, I haven't got all day to check :P ): From the very beginning she's wearing a witcher medallion... just not a wolf one and not around her neck. I saw it by chance playing her for the first time, in that wolf king quest. It's a cat school thingie (edit: worn on her belt, so yeah, good luck finding it if you don't already know about it...), which in the books she took from the corpse of her great nemesis (along with one wolf medallion she gave to Geralt and one griffin that she handed over to Yen).
Gotta love how they thought of so SO many small and - technically - irrelevant details... ;)
In the books, it is said Voohris becomes emperor.
@The Man With No Name It is literally one sentence. His name and year of coronation. Nothing else is mentioned if I recall correctly.
@The Man With No Name Not much about him is written in the books.
Though I recall he is described in Gwent as far les into war than Emhyr, more of a diplomat emperor. Conquering and winning battles with more underhand methods.
@@zealot1530 Sapkowski obviously meant that Emhyr dies and an army general takes his place as the ruler. Yet, it is still an interesting how the devs interpreted it
Wish they gave us more time playing as ciri, definitely a character I would like to see in action during quests!

@@mariosuarez6656 i wouldn't mind playing as ciri the whole game tbh but many fans would be upset if u can't play as geralt.

"I started undoing one shirt button more, solved the problem." - Ciri

I'm hoping this series lasts as long as TheEpicNate315's top 10's about Skyrim and eventually the videos are titled "5 things you might have missed about the innkeeper of Lindenvale".
You can also get that quote from the general about Ciri if you talk to him in Vizima after beating the game. He will be in the large room while the castle is being packed up. He also said this for me even when I got the ending where the north loses and she becomes a Witcher.
I think it's time someone replayed the playthrough as *Rude Geralt*
- dissing everyone if the dialogue box allows it without ramifications...
- trying to ignore and insult as many quest givers as possible...
- being blunt with all the hotties...if Triss loves u she will accept u for who u are.... *Rude dad but gud in bed* 😁
- selling every raw material possible for gold.
- attacking Guards whenever possible and running away to insult their speed further
- laughing at the blood baron being a shit dad...
- fingering the emperor...
- letting triss' ex burn
- banging Kiera and then bitch slapping the hoe for lying
- killing the bounty hunters and then letting the peller's dad kill him
Etc etc

U can load the most recent save before the quest
You could have just loaded a checkpoint it's better that way.

Yeah, she cant be forced into it
Morvran only seems nice because he is a manipulative politician who probably knows Geralt would string his guts out if he tried to marry Ciri and wants to be on his good side. He is also related to Ciri, so pushing the idea of marriage is incestual
