Count me in on the Tekken videos. SF5 is getting really boring so I've been trying to learn Tekken, its a lot of fun.
I love K-brad. Watching him play Tekken for 5 minutes has raised my interest in the game from Zero to Hype.
Maybe it's because I understand fighting games more these days than when I was a button-mashing whippersnapper, but Tekken 7 actually looks like it makes sense, as well as being fun.

Jarin JJT I'm not too sure, it might but at the same time may miss cause Harada made the hitbox of Devil Jin so high that most attacks can't hit him. You can tho hit him when he flies up but when he initiates the attack, immediately duck to avoid it.

Why didn't their Tekken "expert" try to teach them how to actually play Tekken? The quickest and easiest tips would have been to focus on either blocking and punishing, or using your movement, backdashes and side steps, to make your opponent whif and then punish. That would have been much more helpful.
Why didn't they get Aris to teach them tekken instead? He seems pretty good at teaching people how to play tekken from the vids I've seen on his channel.

Oberkiller Aris is a more experienced player, a more experience teacher, a tekken commentator, and he entertains people on his stream for his livelihood. He's all-around a better choice than this woman.
Oberkiller Aris is much more skilled and experienced if you've ever seen him play compared to this young lady. He is also a lot more animated than she is, he'd certainly keep the episode alive with his sense of humor and ability to play alone.

Good episode. I'm glad I get to see some Tekken gameplay on excellent adventures, it's also pretty fun to watch Gootecks try to understand fighters he hasn't played.

I feel like in Tekken, a novice with good timing who found some nice moves to spam can beat an experienced player. I remember choosing Alisa in Tekken 5 some years back and beating a really good player a number of times. That DOESN'T happen in Street Fighter. At least give Street Fighter that credit guys.
Our old community was more friendly than this in Sf4. I'm sad how things are now. If people can't just enjoy a video simple video then what are you even doin with your life? If you see something wrong just chill out and tell them. Giving them the finger saying the video sucks without bothering to give a reason isn't saying anything.

Grab? No, grabbing a Power Crush isn't a viable option, or rather a smart option.
It's best to hit them with a Low attack which completely nullifies Power Crushes.
Arnell Long ummmmmm............throws are unbreakable during a powercrush so they a viable option if it is available. Lows are just more consistent.
I think anyone who isn't a youtuber fails to realise what its like to be a youtuber.If youre a channel that does a myriad of games then it's all good.The youtuber never gets stuck playing a game so he can swap to anything he likes on the channel.However any game or title specific channel gets screwed because they make the channel enjoying the game they play,get popular and are expected to keep playing that franchise.If the people of the channel don't like the next version of the game then well youre boned because you get left behind because people wanna see you play that game or series forever which is why many people create separate channels for different games.In any case given the apparent opinion in the comments about their videos.Cross counter is screwed.

The problem is they chose someone who may be good at the game, but she's got a pretty bland personality and is a terrible teacher... which are like... the two most important things for this situation.

SmaugUKA Actually I think that with the state SFV is at right now he probably doesn't enjoy SFV as much and just wants to pick a character he will be somewhat comfortable with. That's just my thought at least being somwone who moved from SFV to Tekken 7 it's definitely different and getting comfortable with a character that is familiar to you will make it easier to ease into the game. Just my thoughts though...

What... I played Tekken for years, and could have been pro if I knew better. The whole 'Can you hit somebody if you knock them down" Her: "No." The fuck... tekken is a guessing game. Wake ups are the easiest guess. Either this girl doesn't know what she's talking about, or she didn't hear.
Verotik I may have not been listening to the video completely but she did say " you can do grounded damage" meaning she said you can hit them while they're down. Idk where in the video she said you couldnt.
Not gonna watch it again, but you probably right. It's just a very important part of Tekken, and the way it's glossed over doesn't sit well. That's all.
She said no ground hit was guaranteed, in other words, there's a way to get out of it if you guess correctly.
That seemed strange to me because obviously there are scenarios in which a ground hit is guaranteed, but I just interpreted it as she saw that as too advanced for Gootecks to be focused on at the time and was giving him "training wheels" advice.
zorine speaks and sepaks and i know for sure that he/she/it does not know BS about T7. U see the proof all over the episode, everytime if gootecks is asking something about the game cause he wants to understand whats happening zorine cant properly explain that to him and u see the confusion in gootecks face clearly at minute 28 to 30
