I just started to love plants and i started take care and planting even collecting plants i wanted!!!
I am now obssessed with CALADIUM and i hope i can have all of those collection you have!!!!
Im soooo love it!!!
Wow Hannah, those are Beautiful, thanks for sharing!!!
Wow Hannah, your Caladium leaves are a really good size! I'll be trying some of mine outdoors in the summer months too. Thanks for sharing 😁
That Florida moonlight is just amazing and the size of those leaves is just stunning. Because I have such restricted light in my apartment all of mine are slower to take off but since adding them to my green house and putting them under my grow light they have finally decided to start growing and there is a lot happening finally with tons of growth on the way. Great video as per usual and cant wait to see which ones end up in that spectacular garden you have. Love your content as always its so inspirational. 🙂
Plants_and_paints I had to move them from under the grow light this week as they got too big!! My Florida moonlight is now in the living room 🤍🌱... two are planted outside in the garden and rest in my office... 😆🌿🌱 Glad yours are now taking off, looking forward to seeing them! 🌱
Stunning plants! Your videos always inspire me to tend more to my own plants and give them more love :) 💓
Wow they're stunning! HUGE! Ive just planted mine and am about to post my first video. I can only hope mine get as huge as yours!❤️
Wow Hannah you are the Caladium queen!! they are the most beautiful plants I have seen in a long time, and yours are so stunning, with the largest leaves I have ever seen! Thanks so much for sharing and inspiring me to grow more plants of every kind. Stay safe and I will see you soon, XOXO, bye for now.
She does have huge leaves on hers it may be because they're a couple years old and the bulb is bigger and of course it has to do with the great care and the grow light she has for them. They are related to the allocation colocasia and in the elephant ear family so they can grow in the right circumstances to have huge leaves
Elise and Frog in a Blender are two of my all time favorites. Another very favorite of mine are the Flamingo Caladiums. The pink is so intense in the Flamingo, it almost glows. This year I did a planter full of the sheer white and sheer pink and that came out just beautiful, so delicate.
Your caladiums are just gorgeous! Love your videos
Wow those leaves are massive! How nice
Wow. Amazing. I don't know if I can ever get mine that big
OMG ❤💚 I'm so in love with all your plants,,, My name is Kattia from Costa Rica 🇨🇷 nice to meet you...
I'm new in your channel but very happy

Your plants are art ♡ You inspire me to have more plants!
Sara G that’s good to hear 😁🌴💚🌱🌿🌺
Me too! I watch every video in awe. I've learned so much from watching. My collection of 10 are thankfully still thriving 🤗😬.
I have many caladium but I don't have that anyone of them
Calathia
I don't any caladiums, I would just kill them. You have beautiful plants you are definitely a plant queen. Thanks for sharing your lovely plants.
Try growing them outside in a flower pot over the summer. Then when they die back and go to rest and go dormant just leave them alone give them a Sprinkle or two of water every once in a while and in the spring they will come back again. They don't really die they go dormant when they don't like conditions unless you've made them cold and Soggy in the pot then they will rot. But don't throw them away if the bulb is still hard it's still alive just hibernating so to speak
Amazing. The size of that Florida Moonlight! Ive got the same issue as some others. Very slow to start despite keeping them warm and watered. But i do have a couple leaves on my Candidum and several shoots on my Frieda Hemple. Hoping for good size plants this year and maybe even bigger next year.
Nice collection ❤
I love all your caladium plants
Your caladiums tone colors are really gorgeous...
Oh myyy gawd this is my flippping dream. Im in love with caladiums
So beautiful, my favorite!! I plan on buying a pot of them this week, if the Nursery is open. It will be my first time out since 1st of Mar. Can't think of a better reason to go out! Was hoping to plant bulbs, that didn't work out...Thanks Hannah, enjoy your videos so much.
Jerry Hall they are stunning aren’t they! I’d have more if I had the room 😆💚🌿
Sounds like a great reason to go out! Hope you manage to find some 🌿 Thanks so much for watching 🍍🌴🌺
Jerry what happened when you planted your bulbs because they're very easy to get to grow. They don't like to be planted deep in the soil and until they actually sprout you really shouldn't do much except sprinkle a little water on the soil. When you plant the bulbs they don't have any roots to absorb the water so that's why you don't water them. You just sprinkle little water on the surface. The soil temperature can't get below 60 degrees or they start to rot especially if you thoroughly watered the pot. I grow mine here in America in the ground or in flower pots but the trick is they absolutely hate cold wet feet. If we have a rainy end of August they look beautiful and you hate to dig them up to store them for next year but you have to. If you don't when they finally start to show signs of going dormant they're already rotted in the ground. They like to dry out between waterings. I had some from last summer and I just left them in their pots enjoyed them in the house after I brought them in from outside when the weather got too cold. They then went dormant so every once in awhile I sprinkled a little water on them just to keep them from drying out completely. They have now sprouted backup and I may do a video and the next couple days and post on my channel. Hannah's caladium so beautiful and she's very successful with them inside which most people are not because they are really outside tropical plants.
Wow~ I had no idea how big Florida Moonlight gets!! Just planted three tubers in one pot and I'm afraid they will be rather too crowded. Yikes!! Oh, well...Can't wait to see them emerge and find out how they do for me.
They can grow big on small pots just like any alocasia ,to big pot they get root rot, do not go by leave size just go buy tuber size ,2 inches around space bigger than the tuber you got , just make shure tge pot is deep so roots can grap a good grip and wont flip over wen the leaves grow to big .
Wao really really gourgeous I envy you but in a good way I wish I was there admiring them and just relaxin with calm soothing music :-)
Fabulous going to try and grow some
Beautiful 👍👍👍👍
Very nice plants lady thanks 🙏
Gorgeous
👋 Hello, your Caladiums are very beautiful, here in Costa Rica 🇨🇷 there is not much variety, I still have some. Greetings
Beautiful
Beautiful caladiums, unfortunately I'm not growing any yet. I hope to get some growing soon.
They are the most beautiful
OMG Hannah I love your Caladiums🌿💚😍thanks for sharing
Oh my gosh!! Beautiful caladiums, so jealous of your collections🤦♀️
very good tips
Wow amazing...
Waow...amazing
Very beautiful.
Lovely video and guidance as always! (The Strawberry Star is stunning!). Thinking of taking the plunge and getting a red flash. Anything to keep in mind that's not in the video? ❤️
Kurtis John Check out the caladium care tips video I made as this is more in depth about their care… I linked it below the video in the description box 🌿💚
I have ‘Fiesta’ and ‘Miss Muffet’. I really want a ‘Frog in the Blender’.
Amazing caladiums! I bought two bulbs from Farmer Gracy, planted them on the 29th April. Still nothing yet. Not sure if I’m being a little impatient or if they have not had the right conditions. 😅 I fear I might have overwatered them initially and not placed in a warm enough position. They are currently on a south facing warm window sill, fingers crossed they haven’t rotted 🤞🏼🌱
Emma Preece it can take them around a month to come up in the right conditions (can vary). Yes go easy on the watering until you see growth. I only water mine when I plant them and then not again until I see growth 🌿
Very beautiful caladium white
great vid thank you
Verry nice
Super,,,👍👍👍
What is your go to tip for stopping dropping and bending of tubes?
My plant seems sooo happy and has lots of new leaves and growth but is starting to droop, ALOT!
HELP
my Caladium Party Punch is still looking good, will try and get a Strawberry Star next spring , need a new shelfing unit, lol
MissHellfire 1606 I need a new house 😆🌿🌴
Beautiful❤ desde Argentina
Enjoyed your video! Question , mine have become droopy and they are still in the nursery pot. Not sure what I am doing wrong, the three biggest leafs are droopy but do have a lot growing at the same time!! Any advise! Thanks!
I like all plant calladium.
Nossa que lindo sua coleção de tinhorao ou caladium desta espécie eu nunca tinha visto amei adoro caladium estou tentando fazer uma coleção amo muito
So Nice 😍😍 hope i can find Florida Moonlight here at Philippines.
You are the caladium queen! When caladiums get brown edges what is that from? Low humidity? Wind burn? Sun burn?
Can be from a number of things.. lack of humidity, sun burn, over watering, lack of light, root rot
Hey! What do you do with floppy but healthy leaves? And why do they do that? x
👍😊🌿🍀🌷😱😱 que lindo 👍
This persuaded me to buy a potted Caladium miss muffet. After nearly 3 weeks the leaves and stems have dropped :( any tips how to save them? I've backed off in case I over water. Do you need tall plant pots and support for the stems? :)
Hi! I just gor my first Caladium. Strawberry Star. May i knw how often do u water ur caladiums and how much water?
Your plants are lovely. Can i ask where did you purchase them please.
My spring fling is producing white ish leaves like a candidum with a liiiiittle bit of pink hint. What is wrpng with it?
I really love strawbeery star where did you buy it?
What pot size do you use when you first pot the tubers?
😍
Min didn't do well in the house. I put them outside but they all flopped over so I cut them down. Three are coming up so I expect the rest will too. They're in a shady spot, I'm hoping for more leaf and less stem this time.
Just make sure you don't let them get wet and Soggy especially if the temperature gets below 60 degrees Fahrenheit they will rot in the pot. I have grown them for years in the ground and lately I have been just growing them in pots and then bringing them inside and letting them go dormant. I'm going to do a video online and the next couple days and post them on TH-cam
@@kathleenmurphy2379 Thanks. I'll look out for the video. Mine are in the ground now. Not sure why they kept going so leggy indoors.
Caladium are tricky , this is my 4 attemp at growing them in a cover patio ,I had to put grow light full expectrum aboved them but not to close to have leaft grow espace otherwise the leaves will burn ,ouside is to hot for them , You got to find the proper soil mixt that stay moist but drain well I had to make my own ,with perlite ,lava rock ,cow manure and worm casting . Like 70 porcent perlite and 30 of the rest . I have one that is down okayish ,I have another one wich is doing very good and flowering and I have anotherone tgat is doing amazing ,there were experiments because last year I kill them all .The thing is that growers are hibridizing the caladiums to be able to take more sun ,(but not Texas kind of sun) that is to much , but if you put them in shade they also don't do well because of the genetic change , my grow lights are on for 20 hours a day ,only 4 rest period.
I have the sf2000 what light level do you keep the knob at?
I found my love for Caladiums through your channel, unfortunately they aren't readily available here in Germany. I'll just have to admire them on your channel. Take care xo
cheeky897 I got my bulbs online from the Netherlands (Casa botanica)
cheeky897 . same here , most of the time they sell wrong bulbs . i bought white queen and they turned out to be normal looking caladiums.
If your live close to the border, you can buy them in the garden center Tuinland. They sell many.
@@TropicalPlantAddict Perfect Thank you!😊
@@jolandanvt2379 Thankyou !
Do I have to have a grow light and humidifier for my caladium?
What are the grow light conditions for moonlight caladiums?
Can you get rid of the green for example on Florida moonlight with a plant bulb? Please help
Gorgeous!!! I waaannt 😍
How many bulbs did you plant in a pot? Im planning to buy some bulbs but I’m clueless 🤷🏻♀️ is it ok to plant them in Feb or do I have to wait till May? Some advice would be much appropriated. Thanks xx
I usually plant one large bulb or a couple of small ones together in the same pot… I should be planting mine up this week or next week so keep an eye out for the video. I usually don’t plant them up until March but I’m going to start them under a grow light this year
Beautiful as always.... Where did u get them?
Casa botanica online back in Feb 🌿
This is the second video I’ve seen of yours and your Caladiums. They are absolutely beautiful!!! I recently got a red flash but it’s still quite small. I’m trying to get them bigger and stronger (their stems are quite thin and some need to be tied to a stake). I notice also that one leaf tip is browning and yellowing going inward deeper to the leaf? What would you say is the cause of this? I also haven’t gotten my watering schedule right I think. It came in a small pot, and when I do the finger test and the moisture meter, I’d have to water every other day? I’m not sure if that’s excessive? But I do notice it drains out the home fairly well and quickly when I water it? Any opinions or recommendations? 😊
By the way, I live in the Philippines in south east Asia so I’m in a tropical country. I recently got a grow light too and use it when the monsoons start because there isn’t much sunlight. I keep my caladium (and other plants) completely indoors by a north facing window. Hoping for your advice 😊
Caladiums are amazing!
Where do you get your bulbs from?
Johan Frye I got them from Casa botanica online back in Feb 🌿
Many thanks for your quick reply
I have miss muffet and two leaves that were getting a little bit more sun got a couple brown spots on it now so I assume they burned a little.. these are the leaves that are more open than the rest also so really don’t know where should I place it now 😅 it is also droopy looking I have not repotted is as the soil mix looks good.. I only got it recently and once I’ve watered it soil seemd moist for so long I’ve got scared that I’ve overwatered it.. I’ve read that I should water it every other day in the summer so I’m really confused
What would make stocks turn black? Is this normal? My white queen was just transplanted 2weeks ago, has new growth, looks well, but the biggest leaves have started drooping & the stocks have turned black.
I just bought 2 and I really hope I can keep them alive 😅 I got white and red, I don't know what their real names are yet, have to search that
Inspiras . Estan todas hermozas
I have a question ma'am and I would like to clarify about caladium, read in face book says this plants is poisonous is this true , because I have 10 caladium in my garden.
Hi, where did you buy your caladiums from please?
Wow! This is amazing!
For how many hours a day do you keep the growing light going?
I just got my first caladium but I'm not sure that's doing alright
ItalianCurls thanks! Currently I have the grow light on for around 10 hours per day 🌿💚
@@TropicalPlantAddict thank you! I'm going to try that cause one of my leaves died and a new one that was coming out never made it 😞
I also found out about caladiums thanks to your clips :) The "more exotic" varieties aren't easily available in my country, so I buy what I can get ;) This year I've planted those beautiful plants for the very 1st time. So far I've got: Brandywine, Ginger Land, White Queen, Pink Beauty and something that was simply called White ;) Up till now they manage without any "artificial light enhancers" - they're not as big as yours, of course, but I'm quite happy with them
Aw yes I still have them! My Conure now shows aggression towards my budgie so I can’t have them out together anymore and he also is going through a hormonal thing so he is super aggressive towards me whenever I’m in the living room (his territory) 😩 So until he goes back to sweet Marv I won’t be filming him 😆🦜💚
@@TropicalPlantAddict Ow 😕 That's sad... I hope Marv gets better soon 🦜 Looking forward to your updates 💚💚💚
hi,what soil for your caladium grow?
Where did you get these bulbs from please?
I BOUGHT TWO WHITE AND PINK GREEN ONE BUT THEY DONT NEED WATER THEY HAVE GROW LIGHTS AND 80 degrees here and misting machine going full steam but they look so sad and willy the big leaves the little new growth is coming in but don't know why the leaves are getting crinkly help thnx Dee 😕
So once you take them away from the grow lights and you keep them in as a house plant do you just need to keep them in bright indirect light for them to stay big and healthy? I've been wanting to buy one but our shops say they're annuals, I'm assuming for outside of course. So just curious for inside care. 🙃
LB yes that’s right they will still need really bright light. I’ll be putting a couple outside and the other two in bright spots in my home 🏡💚🌿
Hello ! I like los caladium , ejor conocidos como corazon de jesus aquí en Panama , saludos , no speak english . Pero ver la variedad y los mimos que les das a las plantas , tambien soy adicta a las plantas
Can that survive outside the UK weather?
❤💙💚💛💜
So.. are these from bulbs? I don't have a grow light.. what do you recommend to increase the humidity level? I dug mine up from outdoors.. leaves are dying but I see new sprouts!
Yes I grow them from bulbs every springtime and then they start going dormant November time… I dry store the bulbs for winter. I would recommend getting a humidifier to raise the humidity in your home
Ok.. well.. if these die out I'll just wait til spring to buy bulbs...thanks for the information
So beautiful are thouse allso in miniplants
wait i just bought the white christmas and i actually prefer florida moonlight lol
Where can I buy caladium bulbs? Thank you.
