I wpuld pay good money to see what a full grown man who trained since he was 7 for medieval warfare would be able to do with this gear. These guys must ve been very impressive
No cars, no TV, no computers, no cell phones to distract them. Just a single-minded obsession with mastering their bodies to build strength and leverage, and mastering their weapons to work around armor.
@@birddog7492 well yes, I myself started to train at 6 and pretty much never stoped until 27, even did 3 years of military service so I m pretty build up, but having a very specific focused medieval warfare training your whole life, coupled with the harsh living condition of the middle age, would be something else imo. Hell, I know for a fact that my grandfather service was already so much harder than anything they make you do in the army today. Standards in pure performance goes lower as confort and technology increases. And for example, we know that archers from middle age even had skeletton deformation so much that they trained this specific art so much
Also imagine that, a lot of the time, these guys wouldn’t be facing other fully armored knights on the battlefield. Trained from the age of six against levys. It'd be terrifying.
Its crazy to think that a long time ago, these two would have been the most trained fuckers on the battlefield and everyone would look upon them with awe and respect as one of them stone cold steve Austin's them to the ground.
Not exactly the most trained - I’m sure these guys have full time jobs and stuff. Back in the day as a master-at-arms THIS is what you would do as your profession, and you’d be constantly evolving through many tournaments and battles. The level of skill will likely never get as high as it was then because this is just a hobby now and thankfully not a necessity.
Stuff like this really puts medieval combat into perspective. Obviously this isn't to the death, but no sword in the world is going to penetrate hard steel. No wonder clubs, hammers and picks came into favor.
@@r.i.peperoniiiiroh9625 Spear and axe are definitely better, but I find it incredibly ironic how a heavy stick or stone remains one of the most effective weapons against a heavily armored opponent.
Man I never knew there was actual medieval combat still going on this looks fun af though Idk how I was recommended this maybe for honor is to blame but I'm glad YT recommend these reels.
How does one even get started in this sort of thing? Edit: I see my city actually does have a team on the website for this, I just can't find any contact info 😅 I'd love to do this kind of stuff.
Listen, maybe its just me, but every other sport i look at it and go "fuck that these guys would rock my shit" But this one... I've split enough fire wood to know, i can swing an axe pretty fucking hard.
I was going to make a comment about how im so tough id beat them with a flying arm bar. But after watching it this is the best most realistic fight ive seen so far. Usually it feels like two amatuers swinging swords but this felt like to two real warriors fighting to the death. The ending was so good.
can we please abandon modern sports and revert back to this? that’s cool as shit
Why not both
Both yes!
Football but with swords anyone?
Monkey comment, winners using judo 😅
Just keep mma, wrestling, boxing and medieval combat.
Lmao did someone in the crowd yell “take his freaking head off”
Yes, yes they did. Then they went WOOOOOOO
@@thelifeoftybob brutal, I love it
Waterboy flashbacks
Hahahahaha yessir he did
they reverted to medieval mode
This makes MMA look like checkers.
Dude fuckin funny shit right there now
this is nothing compared to mma
This is a typical scene after pub closing time on the streets of Britain
Birmingham
It's just the knives are bigger here
accurate. usually with samurai swords tho lmao
@@callum4796 "samurai swords" This is the equivalent of going "United states guns"
That would imply they're having fun, so no it's not anywhere near Brit*in
The dude who flung the other man is a beast
He is lol. I went flying.
How do I get involved in this?
Looks like basic judo would do miracles in this
@@NikolaBevanda judo or wrestling wether it’s Greco Roman or folk style would probably help immensely
In scotland, beast means paedophile.
Shrek lady : The chair hit him with the chair
lololololol
😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Bruh saw some sparks fly of the swords after partying that was sick
If you do HEMA or Buhurt you'll see that in intense sparring sometimes, but it happens more if the swords have a little rust
I saw that too! It was awesome!
they were partying?
I had to pause and rewind. Beautiful parry!!
Yes spark from clashing sword it likely anime accurate sword fights lol
Bro was getting ready to really finish him on that final stepback draw.. then he remembered where he was 😅

A lot of the guys that do this are excellent athletes. you might be surprised at the hours they train to do this.

Holy FUCK I got so excited seeing that takedown. I am beyond invested now
It was a beaut

Yup you'd get them down and go to town lol
The estoc is kinda fancy for a pointy crowbar on a hilt.
To be fair the sword was a backup weapon not a main weapon so they would actually charge with a spear or axe
@@r.i.peperoniiiiroh9625 Spear and axe are definitely better, but I find it incredibly ironic how a heavy stick or stone remains one of the most effective weapons against a heavily armored opponent.
No it's not, this is a modern sport with modern weapons that wouldnt have been use back then. Tournaments were not like this.
I love how michael myers is in the background admiring these sword fights
That's a very impressive eye you got
Saw that too after you Mentioned it. I thought maybe Hannibal Lecter was at the beginning to far right
That halfling deserves some credit as well poking people with the flag when they’re down 😂
Literally just the clanking of the suits is so badass. I wanna do this
You could, see my channel I have a video there on getting started!
He deserve rematch bruh
This is 1000x more interesting than two idiots standing at a pedestal slapping each other repeatedly.
This fight captures the rawness of the sport, love it.
That went from medieval sword fighting to WWE real quick
Using the enemies momentum against himself. Nice move!
Bro just really pulled out the Sekiro deflection
this fights are basically a couple of sword blows followed by some wrestling 😂
BRO THE LOWER SWIPE FROM THE RED WAS RUTHLESS 🫣
That dude be resting his sword on his shoulder waiting for his power meter to recharge.
Anybody else see the michael myers mask in the back?💀
Jim: Down down down, bl....yellow knight going down! 😂
This is fucking sick😂
These guys are all built like rock apes underneath the armour. Fr
Little guys have the best fights
That throw at the end was awsome!
Who decided to have the tiniest person in the whole room referee
I don't know why but the TH-cam lords have graced me with this content on my shorts recently and I'm absolutely loving it
we need a chaos version where you fight to the death
That spark coming from the first clash of their swords... these guys are legit swinging for the fences against each other!
That ending was sick
did anyone else see Michael Myers in the crowd ??? 🤣🤣🤣
Orange and blue guy thought this was life or death
Awesome lol
Thanks!
This is so badass.
YO! DUDE IN THE GREEN AND YELLOW FIGHTIN WITH AN EXECUTIONERS SWORD!
Dude used the other guy’s momentum against him
I love this
The thud the strike makes when he takes his one hand off the sword 😂oooff
Definitely the best one I’ve seen
That bracer maybe should've braced itself a little more.
I see a lot of these where the smaller and bigger dudes tend to be a fairly equal match.
I feel like the refs or whoever is waving the flag in between them needs a helmet
No way he pimped that shit at the end!! Damn good work man.
This is way better then watching modern sports I could watch this all day❤
Watching grant's short remind me of for honor when it was first released.. great time i had
Man I never knew there was actual medieval combat still going on this looks fun af though Idk how I was recommended this maybe for honor is to blame but I'm glad YT recommend these reels.
Yo this is cool!
Actual fucking sparks! Amazing.
The sparks man that was awesome
i imagine the old combats like this but more brutal
first time i see the brute dude fall
That’s first swing is insane
I’m an MMA fan and this shit is right up my alley
GET ‘EM!
Avreage disagreement with my classmates :
These graphics are so good nowadays
Ok now roll and roll and roll and hit and roll a little more

I wanna play this fun game, it's such a stressed & frustrations reliever gameplay....
"HALT HALT HALT HALT HALT"
yeet
Imagine how insane this would be on a real battlefield.
Honestly. The fights are great and all. But I'm just here for that cute referee. 😂
Careful. That halfling referee wields Big Stick Energy. 😂
Dark souls in vr is crazy
Lol. Pretty cool
I was sure Red was going to lose.
Man my people are cool!
We should have this at the Olympics. Return the old ways.
Tis good fun watching these knights but when is the jousting begin!
I swear I saw a dude dressed as Naruto in that crowd.
They need a longer flag stick
I love a proper dwarf skirmish
Nothing less than AWESOME !!
Every bar fight should start and end in armor 😅
Блин как я хочу там поучаствовать 😍
Same tho I want to know as well
El cerebro reptil en plena acción 😂
This is still to do on my bucket list one day I want all the smoke😂
Just throw the pommel!
That has to hurt even with armor 😂😂
Oh it does
Dude in the red has played for honor lol
White is watching very closely
That tabard seems like more of a liability than anything
Watching this makes me wish they made a second season of knight fight.
Momentum
Awesome takesown
That refree waved a flag in front his eyes 😂..
That pole looked lethal for a sec
We obey the stick 😂
