I'm fairly certain Radahn's meteor attack is made to hit in front of you, not directly on you, a varying distance based on how fast you're moving. I ride in a waving pattern and he always misses by miles. edit: whoops, thought you were talking about his phase transition, not the homing-soulmass-esque meteors -_-
When he pushes his horse under the sand before turning full Apollo 11, the horse actually travels to your location and follows you around underneath the ground, acting as a homing beacon for Radahn. Not sure how this applies to giant snake man though 🤔

Also not just hitboxes but ground you can stand on, like the elevator at the castle where you can practically stand in the air with neither of your feet touching the ground. The hitboxes are good but not revolutionary by any means. Offline or online I've seen some janky shit. Something to do with the hit box or model lagging behind the other or being smaller or larger than the model depending on if it's a large or small enemy. Small ones have a slightly larger hitbox than the model too from my experience like those flying bugs. Also the fire physics are pretty weird too.
The omen twins fighting was so lore accurate, Both were at opposing ends, the catch is mohg was deep underground and no-one thought he was a threat, as even the all-knowing disregarded him as noteworthy. So when his plans would directly go against his older brother, we'd get this fight.
Maliketh squaring off with Radahn can be summarized as “The furry brother really doesn’t like Marika’s new husband, so he takes his brother out back to beat the crap out of him with a godslaying sword.” That moment when your brother in law is also your brother. And your sister. Suddenly all the looping knot motifs in the Erdtree designs makes sense, it’s all various attempts at designing Marika’s mess of a family tree!
His moveset is specifically designed to counter the player, so he seems lame against other bosses. Same thing, for example, with Gundyr in DS3: they are very well calibrated to stomp a specific size of character and a specific movement pattern!
Kind of fitting actually, he is killing to protect, his moveset designed to kill the target, only go rampage when it is neccessarry (plus the throne is a heavy disadvantage for him lorewise, since he loves it so much, he must be have nagging feeling that the throne will go tainted if he going all out), unlike others, they go aoe rampaging the area the second our toes enter their lair
I feel the same! Such an amazing moveset, but 95 percent of the players who struggled with him the first fight as Margitt, are SUPER buffed up and leveled by the time they fight him the second (third) time. And so, hardly any players actually struggle with in his final form. So I must disagree with those saying he has a move set designed specifically for players, because he gets rolled over HARD by most players the final time they fight him. If anything....his move set is maybe designed to just counter....early level players? But again, he has so many major weaknesses. Very little health or tankiness, and a MASSIVE opening when he's transitioning between 1st and 2nd phase, where people just wail on him. In these boss on boss, he often just dies straight up in that transition, and against regular players, they're usually getting him down from half....to less than a quarter in that instance. Meaning his amazing 2nd phase BARELY gets any time to shine. And it's extra sad, because he's such an AWESOME character, both in design, lore, and moveset. Plus, it's the only time Melina will actually fight alongside you. It would be neat, if this fight was more difficult, so more people would get more chances to battle alongside Melina. I personally feel they should just give him a LOT more health and or tankiness, and he'd be solid. Make this fight longer, and his second phase more likely to come through and last longer. That's just my two cents though.

Ok this second fight beetween radagon and Maliketh was stunning, with maliketh doing his doggo show and radagon destroying the ground, trying to honour his title of Elden Lord while destined death was slowly but surely killing him from the inside. Also this attack from radagon at 17:18 was incredible, escaping from Maliketh attack, flying higher than the black blade, before defeat the last act of courage and skill.

I think Lannseax v Fortissax and Radahn v Rykard round 1 were probably two of the most epic "battle of titans" video game battles I've seen. And I just knew Radagon was gonna get ratio'd by Maliketh.

Lansseax has an unreasonably obscene amount of poise. That and fortissax has a larger amount of lightning attacks that he insists to use constantly. So lansseax can just face tank and keep chomping. If fortissax used his fire breath more often, he would probably win.
Rykards problem really is that his entire moveset is designed with his lava in mind, so he basically has no attacks that can actually hit someone who is right up in his face.

Despite being an early game lower level boss, and doing way less damage, radahn still won lol. Its pretty amazing, its mostly because rykard has lower poise and is much slower. But he does way more damage than radahn. In the end, it didnt matter.

I could honestly imagine Radahn bullying Rykard when they were younger since Radahn just feels like the jock type while Rykard seems like he was a nerd. First fight is Rykard thinking he can now finally get his revenge.
@@ivory867 there isn’t an official birth order for the Carian siblings as far as I know. My headcanon is Rykard then Radahn then Ranni because the portraits in Volcano Manor depict a man (probably Rykard) with white hair and Rennala always refers to Ranni as “Little Ranni.” That and Ranni being born an Empyrean might’ve influenced Marika to recall Radagon. It wouldn’t make sense for him to stick around to sire more potential Empyreans.
Rykard is probably the oldest sibling. You can see Radahn's portrait in Volcano manor, it seems the brothers had a good relation before the shattering.
It felt so satisfying to see Maliketh get his revenge on Radagon/Marika. I was rooting for him. She did him so dirty by betraying him, so to see him absolutely beat the shit out of them TWICE was so therapeutic.
I love the way Morgott starts using almost exclusively blood attacks after he's been harmed enough, and that actually brings Mohg down far enough to get him to phase 2. It's like he recognizes that Mohg's blood magic is stronger than his Golden Order magic, and decides to start using it against him. Of course, he's Morgott, and Mohg is Mohg, so he doesn't get very far.
Honestly, Radahn could win a lot of fights if he just spammed his arrow rain attack repeatedly. It never fails to amaze me how much damage it does just because I have never really been hit that hard by it.
this all could be extra narrative...mohg is trying to overthrow the Golden order for mohgwyn but, morgott is defending it for his parents to deem him worthy, rykard is helping ranni by trying to kill radahn to release the stars, last fight is radagon trying to reclaim destined death in a secret attempt to defy marika
You should've scaled their health to equal so that their Health bar isn't influenced by their placement in the game. The first boss is always easier than the 10th and so on
A lot of times their placement in the game is symbolic of how powerful they are. For example, scaling morgott to have the same health as Mohg wouldn’t make much sense since Mohg is supposed to be more powerful than him.

Soldier of Godrick is the first boss in the game that you have access to and yet he is the strongest boss in the game. Dude... Radahn vs Rykard was great. Especially without Rykard's bs ever present AOE that tends to win him EVERY fight he's put against. But I've NEVER seen that drill-run, until now at 8:04 and that was the icing on the epic!
So glad to see Radahn win against Rykard, and that's post-nuking of Radahn too. Shame that he didn't win both but he put up one hell of a fight considering he was standing in lava the entire time

This idea is similar to a play through I did where I fought each remembrance boss as their in lore enemy/counterpart (from the list of remembrance bosses only). I had to take some liberties with the dragons and bosses like Godrick and Maliketh, (I think I paired Maliketh to Fortissax, Godrick to Placidusax, and Astel to Rykard), but it was a fun “challenge” to try. My favorite fight was for sure vs. Malenia as Radahn, it’s almost like the devs designed Radahn’s weapons to compliment Malenia’s fight.
I’ve been suggesting this for weeks now lol I’m so tired of seeing early game bosses get absolutely waxed because of the disparity between their HP pools
It's really sad that in the most fights Morghott uses same tactic as with tarnished. Instead of more moving around, using more "dex" tactic. Not just taking damage face to face
They aren't related. Maliketh comes from beyond the Lands Between, whereas Blaidd was created by the Two Fingers. Radagon works. Radsgo is Marika, and Marika is Maliketh's half-sister.

Godrick doesn't do well partially because he only has double the maximum amount a player can have. Max Vigor, Erdteee's Favor +2, Crimson Amber Medallion+2, Morgott's Great Rune, and Crimsonspill Tear in Physic only give about 3000 HP, and all endgame stuff can 2 shot the player. Combine that with even midgame hitting hard without armor/resistance now Godrick has very few resistances and only 6000 HP and you can see how his buffed up twin beat him so easy
miquella and godwyn could be in the dlc but dunno. potential more matchups could be held. Also ranni'd prolly win against rykard and radahn cuz of how she can just yeet you easily if you piss her off during a certain sidequest. blaidd vs ranni'd be interesting if she could fight.
Fun possibly fact: im pretty sure the magma wyrms are tarnished who participated in too many dragon communions, so they probably are not related to eachother, but it was a cool fight anyways so glad it was in the vid!
First round of Radahn vs Rykard was pure outplay city, holy shit. Radahn was at an UNGODLY stat disadvantage but still fought his way to a win by playing perfectly. Insane.

Fortissax uses lightning more often while Lansseax bites more often and both of them are lightning resistant and weaker to physical
In lore Fortisax would be stronger, but he's also been resisting a death curse for marika knows how long, so he's probably pretty wiped at this point

@@ivory867 there isn’t an official birth order for the Carian siblings as far as I know. My headcanon is Rykard then Radahn then Ranni because the portraits in Volcano Manor depict a man (probably Rykard) with white hair and Rennala always refers to Ranni as “Little Ranni.” That and Ranni being born an Empyrean might’ve influenced Marika to recall Radagon. It wouldn’t make sense for him to stick around to sire more potential Empyreans.

Rykard is probably the oldest sibling. You can see Radahn's portrait in Volcano manor, it seems the brothers had a good relation before the shattering.
It felt so satisfying to see Maliketh get his revenge on Radagon/Marika. I was rooting for him. She did him so dirty by betraying him, so to see him absolutely beat the shit out of them TWICE was so therapeutic.

I love the way Morgott starts using almost exclusively blood attacks after he's been harmed enough, and that actually brings Mohg down far enough to get him to phase 2. It's like he recognizes that Mohg's blood magic is stronger than his Golden Order magic, and decides to start using it against him. Of course, he's Morgott, and Mohg is Mohg, so he doesn't get very far.
instead of “my curse” he should’ve said “our curse” to make it even more impactful on two brothers that went down tragic paths

Honestly, Radahn could win a lot of fights if he just spammed his arrow rain attack repeatedly. It never fails to amaze me how much damage it does just because I have never really been hit that hard by it.

You should've scaled their health to equal so that their Health bar isn't influenced by their placement in the game. The first boss is always easier than the 10th and so on

A lot of times their placement in the game is symbolic of how powerful they are. For example, scaling morgott to have the same health as Mohg wouldn’t make much sense since Mohg is supposed to be more powerful than him.

Dude... Radahn vs Rykard was great. Especially without Rykard's bs ever present AOE that tends to win him EVERY fight he's put against. But I've NEVER seen that drill-run, until now at 8:04 and that was the icing on the epic!

Omg. The odds were stacked against him but somehow radahn won.
This idea is similar to a play through I did where I fought each remembrance boss as their in lore enemy/counterpart (from the list of remembrance bosses only). I had to take some liberties with the dragons and bosses like Godrick and Maliketh, (I think I paired Maliketh to Fortissax, Godrick to Placidusax, and Astel to Rykard), but it was a fun “challenge” to try. My favorite fight was for sure vs. Malenia as Radahn, it’s almost like the devs designed Radahn’s weapons to compliment Malenia’s fight.
Maybe with the same HP they can have a fair fight?

They aren't related. Maliketh comes from beyond the Lands Between, whereas Blaidd was created by the Two Fingers. Radagon works. Radsgo is Marika, and Marika is Maliketh's half-sister.

When you think about it, it truly is amazing that Radahn could beat Rykard with how Enormous the Health difference is.
The fact Godrick loses against his discount copy will always be funny.
Godrick doesn't do well partially because he only has double the maximum amount a player can have.
Max Vigor, Erdteee's Favor +2, Crimson Amber Medallion+2, Morgott's Great Rune, and Crimsonspill Tear in Physic only give about 3000 HP, and all endgame stuff can 2 shot the player.
Combine that with even midgame hitting hard without armor/resistance
now Godrick has very few resistances and only 6000 HP and you can see how his buffed up twin beat him so easy
miquella and godwyn could be in the dlc but dunno. potential more matchups could be held.
Also ranni'd prolly win against rykard and radahn cuz of how she can just yeet you easily if you piss her off during a certain sidequest.
