Squaring a belt with worn edges

    thanks for the video. could you have just used the big square on the good side and drawn a straight line across the belt or would that be incorrect ?

      Best practice is always to find the average centerline of the belt and make your cut line based off of that. There is slight variations in belt width during manufacturing and the slitting process. Finding the average centerline gives a more accurate square cut line.

    What if both sides have been worn out?

      If both sides of the belt are too worn then you can not accurately find the center of the belt so you will not be able to create an accurate square line. There is a time when the belt just needs to be replaced to ensure proper conveying characteristics.
