Tanisha in Broken gets me every time! I cannot actually believe her !! (When I saw them on tour in February she completely blew me away with the 1. quantity of dances she did and 2. the amazing ability which she performed them at!) But personally Waves is my favourite group number because of Zack and Emilio
Season 11 was honestly such a good season -really talented dancers and routines. I loved Rudy, Tanisha, Ricky, Valerie, Zach. Though I was surprised that Jessica made it to third place
I'm not sure if anyone noticed, but in bang bang, somewhere around 2:20 when they're swinging around the hats, keep an eye on Valerie (blue). She drops her hat yet keeps going on with the moves with her arm and picks it up as she transitions to the next part. She is such an amazing dancer to cover up her mistake like that. As they say - the show must go on!
The Sweet Disposition group dance was the best thing that ever happened on that stage, on my opinion. My absolute favorite. The choreography was phenomenal in so many ways. Who played the beggar and who played the guy who bumped into the girl at the beginning? I forget their names. Thanks!
It was clear from day 1 of this season that if a group choreographer wanted a number to work, they should make sure that Ricky Ubeda was front and center. Literally on the day they showed his audition, I turned to my wife and said "Well, there's this season's winner." She said "Yep." Now he's mostly doing Instagram posts from his front yard. He's done three Broadway shows, but I think every casting agent should have his number on speed dial.
I completely agree with your top 5!! Bang Bang, How It's Done, and Sweet Disposition were BY FAR my favorite!! Also, I love Jacque and Zack's African Jazz dance!
I love this top 5. I too would have had Wave higher but I love this one nonetheless. Sweet Disposition was so so special. I think everyone in it and watching it really thought this would be the last sytycd group routine ever and boy did they deliver!
I am GOBSMACKED that you don't have Wave on this list. To me Wave is the top group routine of all time in SYTYCD. Top 3 at least. Unless you have some kind of "must have boys and girls in them" requirement that you didn't mention. I liked the chess routine and the train station number, but they didn't stand out in my memory as much as the other 3 you've got and Wave. My order would go 1. Wave, 2. Time Runs Out tied with. Broken for 2nd, 4. Bang Bang, 5. train station one.
This is my favorite season of SYTYCD. So many quality routines and amazing likeable dancers.

I agree she is an amazing dancer, but she took it off herself and then dropped it in the way so she threw it

From 1:06-1:09 Carly got her foot stuck on Teddy's jacket in Love Runs Out. Sweet Jessica tried to help
Lmfao
+Lacey Seems I would've never noticed that lol.
And they made it just in time!!!

TOP 3
SWEET DEPOSITION
WAVE
BROKEN
This season is my favorite of all
I would have put Wave, Wind Beneath My Wings and Dr Jazz higher than they were, but given the caliber of dancers and choreographers it's all good.

Wow, I loved sweet disposition! Beautiful!
Love Tanisha and Ricky
love Bang Bang, How It's Done and Sweet Disposition =)
So Broken was by far the best piece. The props became too much.
I was trying to find How It's Done just for Teddy's part! Thanks for posting this!!
Teddy😍😍😍😍
Am I the only one that has realized that Emilio had a moment in every group routine he was a part of?
i totally noticed that, he must be light.. he gets thrown a lot. :)
That and he can do martial arts, tricks, and popping.
