The emotional manipulation in Gakutami's writing is both a blessing and a curse. Sure, the shocking returns of characters like Nobara can ignite excitement, but it often feels like a cheap trick rather than a meaningful narrative choice. It’s as if the stakes are being undermined by a reliance on shock value over genuine character development. The series has always thrived on unpredictability, but as we approach the end, I can’t help but feel that the emotional weight is being sacrificed for spectacle. It’s a bittersweet farewell to a story that has captivated us, yet leaves us questioning the integrity of its conclusion.

I think the one time resonance did actually play a huge role was Yuji feeling that Sukuna was plotting something with Megumi which is why he warned him to stay away from him which Megumi obviously ignored but I think to your point that should've been highlighted way more as a threat throughout the series so we could take it more seriously when used to justify keeping Yuji (and the audience by proxy) in the dark.

ngl i def think yujis vague awareness of Sukuna's intentions for Megumi comes from his memories of Sukuna saying there's something he needs Megumi for before fighting mahoraga in Shibuya, not to mention this vague awareness coming from resonance would also arguably contravene their binding vow for Yuji to forget abt enchain

Yuji was conscious when Sukuna did his bit in Shibuya, since he had memories of all the shit he did at the end of getting back control. The reason Yuji deduced Megumi is of value to Sukuna was because he saw him safe and heal him. The manga even showed the panel of that scene when Yuji said he thinkd Sukuna is plotting something with Megumi.

My main issue with the Uraume ending was not exactly only that it was off screen.
It’s more like a character that was introduced early on and could at least have contributed to something just commits suicide when they learn Sukuna was dead.
That’s like the most dull conclusion to a character we already only knew little about.
The character could have lived or been a reincarnated sorcerer for god who knows how long, only to commit die when their boss dies.

Shinjuku showdown is possibly the funniest Shonen arc of all time. Gojo is gone for years and then comes back in order to die almost immediatelly, but he also keeps coming back in flashbacks and even his own corpse gets piloted later on, so his passing cannot properly hit. And also, we cannot forget about how Gojo lost offscreen right after everybody said how he won and he spends his last moments praising his murderer.
Megumi and Nobara are a part of the main trio and they don't do shit. They are essentially just plot devices that exist for Sukuna to win at first and then to make Sukuna also lose. We even get new lore about Nobara's mom, which is a plot point so weird that even Nobara treats it like a waste of time.
Yuta makes a big speech about how he's willing to become a monster to defeat Sukuna and steals his mentors corpse. However, all this amounts to is Sukuna getting hit with a shitty hollow purple which does seemingly nothing. Then his controller disconnets and he just comes back into his body without any consequences.
Kenjaku, has a gag fight with Takaba and then gets bush camped by Yuta and Todo. We never even got a proper interaction between Kenjaku and Yuji despite Kenjaku being Yuji's mom.
Kusakabe gets a chapter dedicated to himself where he fights Sukuna, does the Honored on pose and then gets defeated offscreen.
One of the last 3 chapters of the story has the characters discuss how they could've won better and exploring simple domain lore. Yes, the Disaster Curses spent more time mourning their fallen comrades than the main cast.
Sukuna fights pretty much everybody for over a year and once he finally does everybody just kinda moves on. No feeling of catharsis or celebration after his defeat, people just kinda don't really react to defeating the strongest sorcerrer in history.
Along with that sid to characters like Miguel get reintroduced and don't do shit. Hakari and Uraume's entire fight gets offscreened and we get a cliffhanger almost every chapter about how Sukuna is on the ropes only for it to not amount to anything next chapter.
Its just hillarious. Unironically, the whole arc feels like a shitpost.

I can only really address the Sukuna arguments since that’s what I’ve been thinking about:
Sukuna is a measured hedonist, he calculates the potential of future pleasure and sacrifices in the present for it; making him a hedonist of powerful will. However there’s two things to note here, one a hedonist isn’t ever really happy, only satisfied and dissatisfied; though Sukuna claims to be above all he is an absolute slave to his pleasures, his ability to deny them doesn’t free him, because he’s ultimately doing it for them.
This is important to understand cause the measured hedonist is actually a common ideology that a lot of people live by in the modern world- where they slog and hustle in their mid twenties for some unseen, poorly understood potential future of play- which never arrives. Instead what is more likely to happen is hedonism will nip at your borders to eventually make you cave and do something foolish. Case in point: when Sukuna is reincarnated he is happy at the potential destruction he can cause in modern world of large populations- ironically even with his measured hedonism the world would have never reached this state under his dominion. Not only are hedonists incapable of happiness they are even incapable of internal consistency, since there is no point of actualcalculation beyond which you can afford to indulge safely.
The story is a warning to hedonism and hedonists- there is no meaning at the end of the path, your life won’t mean shit, and you won’t even be able to connect to the truly divine souls who do attempt to connect with you. The tragedy of Sukunas life was that he lived so long and didn’t even at his dying breath, comprehend the feeling of joy, that can sustain and nourish you in times of great duress. Whatever sad upbringing he had handicapped him for life. When Gojo dies the world weeps, when Sukuna dies we just move on. The story spending a lot of time- mulling over the nature of his defeat and the happiness of characters would actually elevate his status, whereas his true nature is a sad pathetic sack of flesh that never learned to be human. Yes its anticlimatic just has a certain german shooting himself at the end of WW2 was but ultimately that’s all evil is, pathetic and lame.
Yujis speech addresses this, whatever memories you make are what gives life value, Sukuna values nothing, which is to say, while he craves pleasure, pleasure from the past means nothing but creating more craving in him. Therefore- since Sukuna thinks strictly on those terms, he was given a thankless death- as opposed to Gojo who had a great death- followed by internal resolution as well as others reminiscing and missing him. Sukuna had the gauntlet to explain his death- and nothing to give it meaning. Save Uraume, who is literally the only psycho to give an f.

    • @elevate07
      @elevate07 วันที่ผ่านมา

"Gojo dies, the world weeps. Sukuna dies, everyone just moves on"
Not gonna lie, that goes really hard. Concerning the discourse around Sukuna, most of the praise surrounding him is directly related to his ability to break shit. Which I'll admit is a fun thing in an anime or manga. But if you take him as a person a question comes up. If Sukuna were to actually win, what would he even do? He has no interest in anything that isn't Jujutsu and he kills anyone that could rival him. Eventually he's going to run out of things to destroy and then what? That's why people like Yuji look at him as pathetic. He's a child throwing tantrums and breaking all his toys with no thoughts further than what he's doing right now. Not when his toys are all gone. Not when no one wants to play with him anymore. Just what's happening right this second. And the only reason people tolerate him is because of his ridiculous power level.

I think Gege’s greatest weakness as a writer is that for all the doors they leave open for potential character and world exploration, they insist on turtling around an increasingly small pool of characters and storylines. I can’t see into their mind so I don’t know if it’s disinterest or apprehension over expanding the story, but I noticed during my recent rewatch of Season 1 that the structural inequalities in jujutsu society-the classism, the misogyny, the cursed technique arms race-exist more for Gege’s convenience than theme or social commentary. They’re there so Gege can say there’s an in-universe explanation for why it’s overwhelmingly women pushed out of the story, why Yuji was kept in the dark, or why characters who took serious falls like Inumaki and Todo got removed. They paper over their inability/unwillingness to go deeper with a shrug that “that’s just how JJK’s world is built.”
Numerous characters’ storylines have been harmed by this approach, but the misogyny crutch especially bothers me because Gege was seemingly content to undermine his female cast and bounce until or unless they could be useful to another character. Utahime’s cursed technique is the most obvious example-literally just a powerup for Gojo-but it also goes back to why Nobara’s return didn’t hit for me like Gege probably wanted. Her exit was never about her story, it was about altering Yuji’s, and as a consequence it doesn’t feel like her comeback anymore. How could it when Gege never really had a place for her in over half the manga? How are we to take Maki and Mai’s storyline if the author is indifferently recreating the prejudice corroding jujutsu society in their own storytelling? Miwa, Yuki, and even Yorozu feel like unusually cruel jokes now.

But outside of that? What else can be considered as "good writing" In the series?

I think a better conclusion for Megumi would've been him deciding to live for himself and then helping Yuji defeat Sukuna from the inside. Showing how egos can be collectively beneficial and stronger than Sukuna’s ego that completely disregards others. This would stay true to the theme and develops Megumi’s character in a more satisfying way.

My feelings about JJK are so mixed, and I'm not sure the last two chapters will change anything about it. This series has been a sort of obsession for me for the last 3-4 years, so seeing it end so abruptly and with so many missed opportunities is disheartening. Of course, this isn't the first time anyone has been disappointed by a series' conclusion. Heck, I'm also a Bleach fan so in a way it's "been there, done that."

There is a chance that we will get another JJK part, because Chainsaw Man part 2 was announced exactly the same, however, there is also a chance that we will get MHA treatment, meaning that their announcement will be "global popularity poll" 😑😑
I still have hope that we will get something more, because I need to be honest with ya, I hate how Gege is doing those last chapters. It feels empty and unfinished imo

Great video. I really need to know the process for a lot of these mangaka and their decisions to end manga with plot points either being underwhelming or rushed. I understand Toriko because there wasn't really a choice but JJK carried Jump for a while.
Is it exhaustion/fatigue? The editors? Experience? Maybe they genuinely think this is done well.

I think the opportunity for the merger would have been a great opportunity to give Megumi a sort of power and choice similar to that of Shinji’s in EVA post-human instrumentality.
Allow the final fight to be that of Itadori appealing to Merger Megumi on things like the Yuki/Geto debate, the value of curses, etc. and give Megumi the ability to control the fate of the world post-merger. This would allow for the whole “Power of Friendship” theme to ACTUALLY win out over Sukuna’s selfish ideology and would give a nice tie in to the Soul/Body debate by allowing the merged SOULS overcome the merger BODY by working together.

I love your style of analysis, and your comprehensive approach regarding JJK. It's really refreshing and something the fandom DESPERATELY needs. I'll give my thoughts as I watch the video.
9:37 honestly I disagree with that. To me, there are three ways Gege could've handled Nobara's character: 1) let her die, which doesn't feel right to me; 2) make her wake up from her coma early on and regroup with the rest of the trio as they enter the Culling Game, and then have something major happen to her later down the line in typical Gege fashion (Yuji has to suffer no matter the scenario); 3) do what Gege did. I think that anything other than these wouldn't have fit JJK's writing style and appeal, would've felt half-baked and underwhelming (in comparison). Personally I would've preferred the second option, but I'm still glad that Gege committed to the bit with the third one and choose to make us believe she was dead till the very last moment, instead of revealing her survival some time earlier and let things play out with no other development regarding her character, thus shattering the relief and hype of her comeback for nothing in exchange.
18:43 I won't argue it could've been done better, but outside of the shock value, hype and relief I still felt somewhat satisfied, for the reason that the Shinjuku Showdown (and the Sukuna gauntlet more precisely) is a reenactment on a grander scale of the battle against Mahito in Shibuya-I'm not gonna elaborate on how Sukuna and Mahito have been put in parallel with one another so, so many times through Yuji, through narrative and aesthetic callbacks, through their actions, interactions, way of thinking, ideology, etc.-with Todo and Nobara arriving at the end after Yuji has been broken down almost completely after having witnessed powerlessly Sukuna's rampage and the death of a loved one right in front of him... To me, Nobara adding the last decisive brick to Sukuna's defeat feels like a spiritual revenge against Mahito, against the despair and paradigm shift he plunged the series into. Mahito defeated and disfigured Nobara with a last-minute trick; and Nobara has now defeated Sukuna, and what he and Mahito represented, with a last-minute trick-which fits pretty well into JJK's theme of combatting evil with evil, curse for curse.
28:59 what warrants this "You are me" line to me is laid out in that same chapter: Yuji could understand and relate to Sukuna's disconnect in regards to others' humanity. Though the order of magnitude is not the same, there's a clear parallel drawn between two lines showing that Yuji recognizes that they are the same, that he had the "potential" to become Sukuna had he grown up under different circumstances, that we all demonstrate indifference, disdain and a lack of empathy towards someone's plight at some point simply because we don't relate or willfully close our heart; ultimately, Yuji had the same mindset (formally, not in its content) and emotional distance in relation to other people than Sukuna-Yuji talking it through with his literal mirror shows not only him renouncing to his flawed cog mentality, but also renouncing to his past self's - ultimately - self-centred and not truly caring way of thinking about others, and thus finally surpassing Sukuna as he surpasses his old self. And that's kinda the point of this whole chapter: to show Sukuna what he missed out on. But he doesn't regret anything, he rejects that, he embraces this disconnect fully, and that's why he dismisses Yuji's offer at the very end. That's what I liked about it: all humans are cursed yet still want to be happy, clinging to their fragile humanity, to a life of weakness as if it could save them from pain and annihilation; Sukuna is the one (formerly) human character that refuses such path, spreading misery instead of spending his whole existence stifling his own, rejecting humanity to embrace the curse we've all been plagued with. Ultimately Yuji accepts Sukuna and his choices regardless of the hatred he holds towards him, the same way he was willing to accept Megumi's choice to refuse clinging to a life of weakness and misery despite his personal feelings-Yuji will keep doing what feels right to him and protect the humanity he prizes so much, but he doesn't try to avoid reflecting on the curse inherent to human existence anymore and he will no longer brandish his perspective self-righteously or try to convince others that life is worth living; whether people choose to bear this curse or not, he will not dismiss their decision. For his part, Yuji chooses to bear it under this new light, exemplified by the fact he would've readily accepted Sukuna as a part of himself.
"Yeah, I don't feel anything. I understand the words you're saying, but they don't stir any emotion. Just like you accepted this old dump of a town, I think, "Oh, so that's the case?" But, so what?"
// "Every so often, I'd hear about euthanasia, but that didn't seem right. It felt like someone else's choice. Deep down, I'd always felt distant, unrelated. I figured it must suck for them, but that it'd be fine."

I like the idea that megumi is hyped up over and over by other characters but he’s just not capable of really bringing it out himself. He has the opportunity but he isn’t the kind of person who can be that selfish to reach those heights of gojo and sukuna.
Instead of his conclusion being some epic power up, he’s ultimately saved by the two people who only want him to be their friend and who don’t care about his potential power at all.
I still think this should’ve been fleshed out more cause I didn’t feel anything on his conclusion but I like that he seems to get an ending more focused on what’s left in his life and what he wants to do with it. Living for his friends and potentially freeing himself of the expectations that others place upon him.

On the main character complex, I'm going to chalk up the happy ending to Yuji's role in the cycle of Jujutsu. His fate was set in motion the moment he ate Sukuna's finger and became his prison. By the end of Shibuya he fully accepted his role after being broken down, but by the end of the Culling Game arc when Sukuna freed himself, Yuji was no longer there just to eat fingers and die. His decision to continue fighting to free his best friend at great personal risk was one of the first decisions he made for himself, and against what many would consider his better judgment, he still tried to extend a hand to the demon that made his life hell, offering an olive branch to the fiend that by all accounts deserved redemption the least of anyone. By breaking that cycle of perpetuating negativity, that sorcerers who fight for others are doomed to die young and miserable as is the nature of cursed energy, he broke that cycle by being forcibly removed from the machine as the cog he had conditioned himself to believe he was. I can understand not being fond of the writing decisions, some of them are definitely sloppy, but I feel like thematically everything about Yuji's arc holds up, at least to me.

My direct hope is that MAPPA/etc really does do what they did with season 2 of JJK (the anime) and directly expands on scenes/avoids 100% canon. A good example is the Mahoagra fight that ended up being a lot more in-depth than the Manga, and showcased new abilities that was not present.
Gege has written a good outline; but I belive that a lot of his recent content needs to be extremely slowed down, decompressed, and properly explored in the anime (if it even gets to that point) for anime viewers to not go through the same rollercoster the last 10 or so chapters have been for manga readers.

I feel like the two of them were supposed to fight because Yuji beat everyone that mocked him and doubted his ability to actually be ruthless. It happened with Mahito and Sukuna and they laughed at Yuji when he was in need of help and when Uraume saved Sukuna she laughed at how pathetic Yuji looked because Sukuna was mocking him. I don't know, I feel like we were supposed to get something more with her character.

I did actually find Sukuna's death to be pretty satisfying. I think Sukuna folding on his ideals is what allowed Nobara and Megumi to come back, rewarding Yuji for his genuine love of other people. Sukuna's clutch on the narrative had fallen apart because his self-assured hedonism wavered and, like Gojo being cut down to human stature by Sukuna, Sukuna fell from his divine pedestal back down to a human level by tripping over his ego the way he did. His fatal flaw was the impurity of his hedonism and that works **because** true hedonism is impossible. He was no different than Mahito all along. Similarly, I think this explains why his death was such a fizzle; because he fell off his pedestal, the grand conclusion that would have awaited him at his end was simply no longer in the cards. It's mahito parallels all the way down. Still, I wish there was more time dedicated to all of this. I think it's possible that the 5-chapter sprint we're seeing has something to do with SJ interference...

Now that Rad brought it up, I really like the idea of Yuji consuming the Sukuna lump before he fades away. In the same way Sukuna has served as an intrusion on JJK’s larger story, bending everything around him to his desires, Yuji has been the thorn in his side, the constant interloper who disrupts his self-narrative of fighting the strongest and chasing pure pleasure. Now at the end, Yuji won’t even let Sukuna die on his own terms, trapping Sukuna in his innate domain while he repairs the story Sukuna warped. This way when he says “you are me,” he’s not just vaguely gesturing at bringing Sukuna down to his level. He’s rejecting Sukuna’s entire perception of his place in the world.

Resonance did not really do much in the ideology battle. I think we see parasites, ticks, mosquitos as some unjustifiable existence, and that's all it ended up being. We needed Yuji to unlock the fly swatter ability. It is super unbelievable through Sukuna's presentation that he would ever turn to not being what he is, and what he has done for the rest of his life. Anime has a lot of these ideology battles, but it almost seemed like Sukuna wouldn't die and would choose to wander a new reborn life when the characters go up and question what Sukuna knows about life that is powerful, and how to obtain that power.

Love the video. Honestly I agree with all of your points minus maybe your feelings on Todo and honestly I feel even more disappointed about Megumi (more so because I wanted him to fight at least one more time in a major fight post Reggie) but the word disappointment was one that I relate with a lot. These last few chapters post 266 have just left me feeling less like I don't like JJK and more like I wish there was more we were getting. Knowing that we only had so few chapters left def heightened those feelings but I still trust that Gege can at least leave me feeling good about how he wrapped up things even if it didn't playout with as much thoroughness as I may have wanted. Regardless if this is the end of JJK or a set up for Pt.2, I am hoping we see Gege put to pen something he has full control over creation wise from the very beginning, and on a schedule that doesn't make him feel so rushed or pressured like WSJ does.

I personally think that Sukuna has been depicted as an incomprehensible entity exactly because he was supposed to be one until his soul and Yuji's got intertwined. He said so himself, reincarnation gave him his first direct exposure to what being another, "aka empathizing with another" meant. It wasn't about merely understanding Yuji, but it was his soul observing itself through Yuji's eyes too. So basically, he couldn't be defined because he was an unrelatable entity, but by forcibly facing another soul so closely, Sukuna finally became something understandable by opposition. His personal decision is to define himsef by completely and utterly refusing everything Yuji represents. Since Yuji is a blessing, a Buddha who chooses to sacrifice himself to save other souls, Sukuna is a curse, something that can't and doesn't need nor want to be saved. This act of defiance is a little slap in the face of Yuji's protagonism and at the same time a victory for him because, in the end, even if Sukuna proclaimed himself a curse, he was forced to look at another person's life, and acknowledge its intrisic value to the point of defining himself in opposition to that other life. I don't know if I'm making sense, but I agree that the presentation was absolutely lacking, considering the beautiful chapters before this one.

I honestly thought with some point in the manga that gege was going to go big, but it seems gege himself wasn’t even promising that

I think part of the reason why its rushed is because of how Shonen Jump works, and circumstances around Gege's health while writing Shinjuku
I believe Kubo actually spoke out that upon entering its last arc, a serialization in shonen jump is obligated to provide rigid timeframes to the publisher so they knew when to slate a replacement title, and these timeframes are hard to change, so Gege taking so many break weeks and getting sick which lost him 4 full chapters consecutively probably impacted how the conclusion of the arc turned out

Okay i have multiple things to say here, so first of all Nobara... The moment i saw Todo came back, an idea enter my mind "Nobara will appear at the end and be the key to defeat Sukuna", because what Todo represented is more important, the return to better times, as much as we like Choso, he was part of the descent to madness, his existance didn't exactly speak of a replacement but of a change where stuff didn't stop hitting a fan. As such when Todo appear a ray of hope finally shines through the darkness, that darkness that cover Yuji and this is the thing everyone has good and bad things, light and darkness, and Choso was a support pilar so that Yuji could resist the overwhealming darkness that he couldn't control, but that's where you need light to balance it, so it doesn't control you. Todo was a part of that and Nobara was the last ray needed to finally overcome that Darkness and balance it.
Sukuna, i have come to understand that people have blown out of proportions, especially his meaning and being rewarded. Because i think what point was that, against an overwhealming force the only way humanity has to stand back to it, it's united otherwise, we would have been completely take out, what defeats Sukuna it's the bond that Yuji, Megumi and Nobara have. Yuji awakens Megumi by telling him basically "Dude i get it, we all have your problems, at the end the choice is yours to what to do with your life... But i will miss you if you keep going like this". And when both begin to work together Nobara is awaken at them finally opening up to each other without her help, as such she comes back for the final blow, the final push. And we finally see how pathetic truly is, and it was presented all the time that Sukuna is pathetic, laughing at something that's not minor pain, that's pathetic, making someone want to die so you can live, that desperate. The more you think of Sukuna's interactions from a human perspective, you realize how pathetic he always was, but the only thing that allow you to see him as this great thing was his great power, which came from brute force, and was obtain in an era where humanity was more barbaric.
The rest, i don't have a sure way to say why i don't have a problem with that stuff, not that it's perfect, but i don't have a problem with Megumi, primarily because it's true we humans tend to stagnate unless we have something or someone to push us forward, and Megumi, he isn't materialistic or greedy as such living for Yuji, so that his best friend doesn't miss him, i find it fine, it's good even if it's not worked a lot, but maybe why it works, it's because i have been alone in that darkness just floating and when someone finally reached a hand to pull me out not out of pity, but of understanding even if they didn't completely get it, i grab it and never regret it, so i can understand this part of the ending for Megumi and be satisfy. Hehe, turns out i had an argument for Megumi even if it's not the most well thought out. Any way this is all, hope it gives a different perspective.

    • @ultimateshadeofwar
      @ultimateshadeofwar 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

@@murderman8578 Doesn't thought? Gojo is able to blend stuff in favor of humanity through raw strength but he is not accepted by it, he is the inverse of what a moral road Sukuna could be, meanwhile Yuji only grows stronger the more he accepts the faults and strengths of humanity (the darkness and light of it). I think there is more to support this, it's more of a matter of perspective.

    I have very mixed feelings
I agree with some points you made, and disagree with others. For some of your points I feel exactly like the "I understand but feel nothing panel". There's some concepts I actually like that I cannot fully articulate why. The TLDR of how I feel about this "ending" is a mixture between your thoughts and human.lunchable's(professor coach on TikTok) thoughts. I'm so split down the middle on this because I've recently gained so much more appreciation for the story of JJK because of your(and his) content specifically. I had to disassociate from JJK discourse for the last couple weeks like I'm 265 Sukuna to digest the story better and come to a well thought out conclusion(relative to the rest of this community😒)
Needless to say... JJK Shippuden Re 3 Piece Vortex "Can't Fear Your Own Merge" Heien Arc(I dont actually want a Heien flashback💀) is def otw fosho trust
One thing I will speak on specifically is the "You are me" and "I am a curse" line. While I completely agree that is somewhat rushed (I believe you compared it to Gege skipping to the finish line without running the marathon on your discussion stream), I believe it's a parallel to the "I am a Jujutsu sorcerer" line in how it strips Sukuna of agency and assigns him a role, ironically being just as much of his curse to bear as those words were originally on Yuji. That cycles back to the "You are me" showing that they do both now have at least that much in common. It might seem like I'm trying to convince you that it was written well or make you like it, but I assure you that's not what this is. I also have issues with the execution of this scene, and Sukuna's conclusion as a whole, I simply wanted to provide an answer to your question on how he was defeated thematically/ideologically. I don't believe Gege made a mistake in his presentation of that scene. I believe it was part of his plan to give us such an unsatisfying ending and give us mixed feelings(How's that for a black box? Bro took meta to the next level). While it makes sense and is technically reasonable, that doesn't mean it's enjoyable. Unfortunately for Gege, it doesn't matter that the point of it makes sense when it is void of all meaning, feels empty, and falls flat. In other words, the "point" kinda just fucking sucks😤 It's EXACTLY like the Sukuna panel, I get it but idgaf that shit is hot ass😂
On that note, I hope this was that "The Downfall of Jujutsu Kaisen" video you had drafted up and thrown up the screenshot for on Twitter, because my heart can't handle any more Gege slander💔
Translation: Fiji PLEASE drop that video ASAP‼️Do it "For the Agenda", as Jay would put it
Finally, a small, hameless(like Blob-kuna) Professor Coach plug, I recommend checking him out. He's been fighting TERRIBLE agendas for the entire Shinjuku gauntlet at this point. His page is like a "Reading Comprehension Checkpoint/Mecca". I'm sure y'all would agree on most things, other than the last few chapters💀

Honestly I agree with most points in this video, more time was genuenly needed. The only thing I would like to add is that I think NOBARA returned now because the user of idle tranfiguration(Kenny) died. So maybe Kenny dying somehow lifted the tole on her injury. Even though IK he used uzumaki in Shibuya and all. That’s just my headcannon

It seems really difficult to stick the landing for most stories but I think this one just needs a little more time to come off the last fight.
I've heard this series criticized because it has NO filler which I think is a little reductive but I can agree with the sentiment that there is not a lot of time to breathe between the hype the story thrives in. We are at the end of the series. Now more than ever before is the time to decompress and breathe. I'm not saying everything should be explained at this point since that certainly isn't the story Gege has been writing but just give us a little more time with these characters here at the end.

I can think of a few weaknesses that Gege’s especially guilty of:
      -Heightened focus on fights
-Reduced screentime for characters to develop
-Introducing a variety of new characters who failed to resonate with the audience as much as the pre-Shibuya cast (Barring perhaps Higuruma and Takaba)
-Failing to expand on the setting very well or wasting opportunities to in favor of rushing to new fight scenes
-Itadori being overshadowed by other characters
      -More contrived results of fights
-Sukuna boasting ridiculous amounts of plot armor and regularly killing off beloved characters including Gojo

I saw a fake leak today where yuta wasn’t chilly yuta and was kenjuka and I got so excited until I realized it was fake which made me relive I wasn’t satisfied with jjks ending . The more I sit with it the more uncomfortable I am with it , sukanas send off, nobara coming back , Choso death even . Nothing marinated in jjk which ends up being its own downfall . I wouldn’t say the ending is terrible so far , but it’s meh , it wasn’t as climatic as the battles before hand

Supernatural Haste was a good choice to start off the conversation on JJK's momentum. The track really is just that... *momentum* and JJK is the perfect vessel for it

I think that if the absence of Nobara(Yuji’s humanity) leads to Yuji’s cog mentality, then her return as he starts to regain his humanity and offer Sukuna a place in the world with him fits thematically
