Rivington MTB - 'Prime Time'

Lovely summers evening to be riding some dry dusty trails around Rivington Pike although Graham managed to find the only bog on the hill 😆. On playback I didn't realise how snuffly I was with my hayfever which has been pretty gruelling this last week since the weather picked up although I have been double dosing antihistermines. Still got the rear brake howl as well just to add to the annoyance 🤫
Quite a long ride this on an evening over to the quarry near Smithills. The singletrack traverse is quite sweet but was better before the moorland caught fire a few years back and seems to have an ash coating which has smoothed it out a bit
Shows how long ago we did this, the trees in the quarry were saplings and now they are say 20ft tall which is a bit crackers. All things equal, this was a lovely ride at a steady pace on a warm night covering 16 miles and 2,600ft (almost 800 mtrs) in 3.5 hrs - pure bliss 👌

Thanks for your kind comment, It's a great venue as you know but lets not tell everybody 😂 Ideal terrain for some hardtail hooning
