Teen wolf finale got me so much. I still can't believe it is over, i'm not ready to say goodbye to this amazing show... and, well, i'm not ready to say goodbye to this amazing couple either. Malia and stiles will always own a special place in my heart, despite everything that has happened and how their relationship ended. I know i haven't been vidding for years, but last day i started watching some old episodes and became quite nostalgic. So here it is, my tribute to stalia, made with love and tears (yeah i admit it: i did cry a lil bit while doing it).

@@melli-en5jkWrong 😂 Stydia was fanservice. Even Dylan O'brien said he loved her (Malia). And that Stydia would break up after a few weeks (he said.) At least Stiles really had feelings for her.(Malia) I knew from day one Scott never loved her or had ANY feelings for her. The only reason "Scalia" happened was because the writers couldn't let a season go by without Scott having a love interest. He just amused himself with her after leaving Kira in the desert to forget or to not have to think about Allison(s) (death) which Teen Wolf:the movie proved. Scott left her for a dead girl. Also Scott and Malia had 0 chemistry. I felt nothing watching them together. I really see nothing special with Malia and Scott. They were just weird and cringe and absolutely forced. Them not being together anymore was the only good thing about the movie. They should have made Stiles move on from his crush of Lydia (that he still cares a lot about her and she about him - but as a strong friendship) after seeing the insane chemistry Stiles and Malia have but instead they made the fan service for which they had to make them grow apart in season 5 and do the pathetic Stiles and Malia break up scene (what was that that wasn't even a real break up scene???) I never once saw Lydia look at Stiles with real love in her eyes like Malia looked at him.
@@shaderchase2118 I completely agree! Scalia was just a rebound relationship on both sides, both Scott and Malia had just gotten out of incredibly serious and meaningful relationships. That, coupled with the short time frame they had to develop their connection, meant that their relationship was rushed and lacked any emotional depth. They did have physical chemistry imo which is why their relationship works more as a rebound fling. Personally, I think Scott was a good alternative choice for Malia if she couldn’t have Stiles. Scott was the one who helped her transform back into a human and taught her to exercise control over her supernatural strength, he was an obvious second choice.
I also really agree that Stiles’ feelings for Lydia should’ve remained a childish infatuation that he matured and moved on from when he experienced true love with Malia. It would’ve been far more relevant and relatable to the fanbase at the time to explore the theme of having unrequited feelings for someone who isn’t necessarily right for you, but eventually growing to realise that it doesn’t always work out the way you want and you have to just accept that and move on. It also would have been a lot more true to character bc it was so clear that Stiles isn’t even Lydia’s type, and that she liked the attention that she got from him far more than she ever actually liked him as a person. They just clearly weren’t compatible, and imo it completely ruined his character development to have him return to his childish, obsessive infatuation for someone who never saw him as a serious or worthy contender for her affections until he moved on with someone else.
I respect Stydia shippers. I mean most of my friends are obsessed with Stydia. But I personally don't like it. I think for me there needs to be a kind of a relationship development and etcetera.
In my opinion the relationship started too suddenly. But I still think it's cute
But I would always prefer Stalia. Their connection, chemistry love was something I always loved and looked forward too seeing in the future episodes.

Years passed by, but i still love both Stydia and Stalia, i just hate the way they didn't seem to care that much for each other after they broke up.

I never liked that they broke them up and made stiles and Lydia, and Scott and Malia. Lydia was never good enough for him and didn't even acknowledge his feelings until the end. Also Malia and Scott just don't fit together
But Stiles always loved Lydia, his feeling for Malia weren’t exactly mutual. Stiles was an anchor to Malia, to keep her human so she didn’t turn full wolf. Lydia from season 1 had a major character development, she changed throughout the seasons and when he went missing in season 6, she was the only one desperate to find him.

I really hated that they made them break up. Like I get that everyone wanted Stiles and Lydia but Malia was Stiles first love, first real relationship, and the same vice versa and it was just weird how they could be all of that to each other and break up and thats it. I felt like the writers just wanted to give the audience what they wanted for the last season because everything started to feel forced rather than organic.

It always felt like their breakup was unnecessary for the show. They definitely were endgame and I've heard people say Malia and stiles were just pressured. But then, think of Scott and Malia. It always felt like since Scott didn't have a girlfriend at that time, the writer's didn't want him to stay alone and so they put Malia there.
I love Lydia and how she Evolved and became someone we all love. But there weren't a relationship to begin with. Stiles just had a crush that he thought was love. The real chemistry and love was between stiles and Malia. He supported her every single time. And it hurt me deep when they split.
