I miss early days of Phasmo where the scare factor was more in interactions than ring-around-a-rosie with hunts on repeat. Haven't played it in a long while, but if it can ever find a way to evolve those interactions, it'd be a gem for me personally. That's not to discount the people that do like the hunt factor. Just saw the title and it struck a personal frustration I had with the game back during the raiju update or around that point.
9:29 I also did my own tests and you're partially right. It is linear but with a 2 seconds delay after stop splinting. It's the same logic as that behind the 3 seconds-5 seconds design. For example, if you splint 1 second, you'll actually need to wait 3 seconds to recover your full stamina. And if you splint 0.5 second, you'll need to wait 2.5 seconds.
I've been playing phasmo for a while now (250 hours) and all I would do is try to break LoS and hide. But I wanna get better at the game and start to learn how to loop and get more knowledge to become more than just decent. Thank you for the guide, it helps me what to start with

Psycho, I’ve gotten back into Phasmophobia with the new update. This game is very much psychological. The minute. I hear a ghost hunt I do something dumb like try to take a picture of it and get killed instead of smudging it first. I also seem to notice that most of my hunts end up in pitch blackness and it’s very tricky to keep tabs on where the ghost is while he chases you around.
I have seen the ghost's momentum first hand when I was doing maple lodge grinds going around a picnic table with bugged pathfinding. I kinda hypothesize that, if you moved just right with lots of space, at max ghost speed settings and max LoS speed you could get a Moroi to run circles around you but never get you due to the momentum keeping it in orbit around you :v
My first loop was around the dining room table in ridgefield, though it was a Deo so it was really easy and my friend even came out of hiding to watch it because it was funny
I'm trying to use this to help get better at looping, also set up a custom game with 0 sanity and no item loss just to practice. Doesn't help that in the last 10 games only 1 hasn't been the crawling child model.
I think the next difficulty on Phasmo should be "Psycho" 200% Ghost Speed with no No Sanity. With a weekly Psycho challenge to loop the ghost around the smallest table/object on all maps for $69k.
Controlling the running in VR is a bit harder, since pressing the stick while moving is very fiddly. So I usually just keep it on, and hopefully I'm not stuck on the 5 second cooldown when I really need it. It's also hard to turn a lot on VR - I'm using snap turn so I have to push and release the stick a lot, and I fall behind on a really fast loop.

Its only the picnic table thats close to the gate thats hard to loop on in camp woodwind the other one is so easy you just stay on the top left corner going like 3 steps left and right with the ghost don't even need sprint.
So I'm a bit confused- when you are looping under normal circumstances, around a nice looping spot, you leave your flashlight ON? Doesn't that make the ghost see you easily? Or is that just to help you see him to get your evidences easier?
It does attract the ghost, but only because it's an electronic, not because of the light itself. Even then, the ghost only speed up in LoS(equipments and talking does NOT count). Flashlight does help you see the ghost when looping it, especially in the dark. Also useful for keeping the ghost from wandering off if you're trying to loop it to test for a specific ghost.

I don't get how the ghost doesn't catch you, I loop around the couches/kitchen counters, I see the ghost on the other end and I just die, idk if its lag or what. Is the game server based or does it depend on the host?
You can also loop around the round tables in the cell blocks and cafeteria in Prison (doesn't break line of sight, tho) And also, the walls around the Foyer, Living Room, Dining Room and Kitchen in Grafton are an excellent looping spot! Honorable mention to the old Asylum, I used to love looping around the Reception counter (I still hope they put it back into the game, with a warning that the map isn't quite suitable for the current game mechanics, but just as a legacy level)
Is it possible to loop a normal ghost for an entire hunt in the right storage room in the basement of Willow street? I had a friend stuck in there during a hunt. He tried to loop. He succeed for a while, but ended up dying. I'm not sure if you break line of sight through these shelves.

its all fun in games but then you sneeze when looping a rev and it makes your hand move mess up your camera then you die as the last member of the party
Always be crouching, and always break LoS. The ghost probably caught LoS with you on the longside of a loop and gradually speed up from that. Also, not all loop block LoS effectively.

I've been miserable for three days. But also thanks for this video. Looping is not my strong suit and something I still need to teach my roommate's cousin. Tried teaching him that with a deo because it's a deo and he got scared and ran into another room to leave me to suffer lmao. I only just got him to the point he doesn't die every time there's a hunt.

Practice looping in Singleplayer but account for some lag on multiplayer!!
