    What is up guys! holy moly we already reached 100 subscribers before christmas!
    Thank you all so much for your continued support! I appreciate everyone whos been watching, and can't wait to cook more recipes with you guys!
    Stay tuned for my christmas video and I'll see you all next time!
    Almond Cheese:
    1cup blanched and peeled almonds
    2tbsp lemon juice
    3tbsp olive oil
    1tsp salt
    1/2cup cold water
    1 clove of garlic
    This doesnt make a lot so the cheese I displayed at the end was actually double the recipe.
    as for the oil at the end, it was just olive oil and rosemary blended together.
    Enjoy!

    whoa... i just put a batch in the fridge, patiently waiting for cheese to put into pasta salad tomorrow 😋
    the excess water drained made a really delicious salty cream - i saved it in the freezer, seems like it would be delicious for finishing off a pasta sauce! i wonder if you could make an at-home vegan coffee creamer with a neutral or coconut oil and less salt, then add flavorings like vanilla or cinnamon if desired.
    besides the pasta salad, i think i'll roast some of the cheese, and marinate the last third in olive oil, herbs, maybe olives like a marinated feta.
    appreciate the video and inspiration! thank you💖

    Like a lot of women, I have an allergy to the A1 casein in dairy, so I've decided to try using almond cheese. To the creator of the video: do you happen to know if you can take a block of almond cheese from the health food store, and use it in place of melted mozzarella for pizza dough, bread sticks, ETC?

    • @YourAverageSaladTosser
      @YourAverageSaladTosser  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I personally have never tried! I doubt its gonna melt the same way mozzarella does… I would instead make bread sticks and just use almond cheese as a spread

    Quite funny that your recipe is exactly the opposite of most almond cheese recipes. Usually you make the cheese out of the milk, and discard the pulp that you call cheese.
    Will still give this a try however, it does look tasty.

      One of the reasons is that many people who asked clarifying questions went unanswered. In educational material, or how to material, audience/host engagement brings community > Repeat views > drives the algorithm etc.

    • @YourAverageSaladTosser
      @YourAverageSaladTosser  ปีที่แล้ว

      I discarded the milk afterwards. The cheese is only whats left inside the cloth. I didnt think to use the milk but maybe you can use it to make almond milk? 🤔

      @@YourAverageSaladTosser What? But cream cheese/ricotta is made from the nutmilk?😅 The same methods apply for when making cheese from cows milk

    • @Gjentush
      @Gjentush ปีที่แล้ว

      @@YourAverageSaladTosser Then you havn’t made cheese if you have used the fiber. The milk is where the fat and proteins are, the very things that cheese consists of and that gives it the creamy richness.
