Hi Steve, your channel has really grown, good for you. My wife and I both think the GoPro was the better of the two cameras. Stay healthy, looking forward to viewing much of what I have missed on your channel.
Yes the gopro is good for some things, i still have to get used to the settings and buy some accessories ,but the sony mic and lens is so superior , maybe use both ,,Thanks for your input
Hi Steve, thanks for the video.Great quality on the GoPro keep using it .Cheers Martin
Still at that learning curve ..why is new tech so complicated lol... i noticed its got a fish eye look , think i corrected that now , but it is different to the Sony .. Thank you always comments

Hello My friend, wow.your dad used to live Malta ?? Thanks for your comments
it's really good to have everyone off the street we can get a good look at the buildings and everything around gives you much better perspective.
Scary back streets, just nobody 😱😱
@@EnglishmaninMalta But you're not a fraidy cat.
Seriously, is extra caution needed in back streets in Malta these days??
@@MalteseKat Extra caution for what the virus ?? maybe ...Other then that Malta still as safe as ever

Hello cate , Trying to keep a live , But its getting a scary world ??
My partner and I have had to cancel out visit in April, this was her 50th birthday present and we are both sad about it but better to be safe than sorry. hopefully get there once everything get back to normal.
Yes sad news, its better stay safe home, no fun in malta at the moment, things are a bit grim , i tried to show you in the video how quit it is there almost no tourist now and most businesses are almost partly or are closed, Malta is small and seems we only have a few cases, lets hope for the best
@@EnglishmaninMalta Thank you for the reply, yes it is sad to see such a lovely Island suffering like this but I am sure that once this has run it course things will get back to normal and I cant wait to have a visit. Keep well and do more updates as time goes by.
Wow very beautiful view my friend and have a nice day.God bless
Thanks dores...Welcome to my channel
Very strange to see it so quiet. Hope you are keeping well Steve and staying safe. Usually we are booked up for June time, this year however we held off. We would’ve booked but just not yet. Maybe a godsend really as looks like most holidays are being cancelled anyway 😣 such a shame. We will certainly miss visiting. Maybe just as well we visited twice last year.
Let's wait and see hopefully things will sort out , after summer ...can not image maltese staying inside though summer !!
I agree, the Go-Pro is really great, makes everything so 3D and life-like - although sometimes a slight "goldfish bowl" effect, but guess that's the wide-angle. Thanks!
Totally agree! but i found the other setting its a lot better now ..Just waiting for some accessories
Hi Steve, Gopro looks very nice, very smooth picture. Stay safe.
Yes i was pleased with it just a big learning curve, and its so small to change the settings
Nice to see you are ok Steve every thing cancelled in the UK same as malta were all I this together everyonestay safe and well WeWill be back we will have party when we get past this 😎
THINK YOU HAVE A LONG WAIT FOR THAT PARTY ...LOL

Amazing to see this is the state in the whole world !
Wonder how things will end up 🤔🤔
@@EnglishmaninMalta Many many thanks Sir
Hey Steve. Very very quiet there! Keep safe.
Yes, think we have more to come, normally lunchtime its full 🤔
Malta is in a partial lockdown. Only essential shops are open. People are being advised to stay indoors. Any non-essential shops found open are fined Euro 3000. This explains empty streets.
Thanks for the info ...lets hope its soon over
So sad to see this will lots of shops and bars closed and the Pub
Guess its the only ways to cut down on contact
HELLO STEV AND ALL OF 🇲🇹MALTA🇲🇹 TAKE CARE
And to you joe ...Thanks for the comments
It will be interesting to see if Malta lifts the airline ban before the summer season, as that's a huge percentage of it's income!
Yes, it's going to be a trying time for many countries , but not sure about summer ...sure they will not take any chances
Doesn't look the same without tourists but I'm sure Malta will bounce back even stronger😷😷
Yes its very quite ...even the maltese are staying at home
I was there the same day - a national holiday - and had to fly home the following day. My holiday was cut by 11 days and was very disappointed.
Hi Nick, Sorry to hear that, Still maybe for the best !! Malta is no fun at the moment ..Better home then spend all your time in the hotel ??...Thanks for your comments
How are the hotels in Malta? Still open? How about Buggiba?
Looks like most closed up now , All restaurants, bars , clubs on shut down ..

Crazy seeing Valletta like that
Yes very scary no restaurants, just takeaway food,
19th March was a public feast many Valletta shops were closed..........
But i did not go on that day ??
@@EnglishmaninMalta Oh, so it was a working day. So it's true it was quiet in Valletta.
Thanks for sharing.
friend! The whole world is in danger of coronavirus, and I hope good friends are healthy.🙏
Thanks for you input my friend ...shocking latest about the US !!
Thank you my friend ..And you ..sad times
ALL IS THE SAME IN DENMARK! SO SAD!🇩🇰🇩🇰HOPE THE BEST.
Hi Brita, sorry to hear that...So far no deaths malta !!
Quite an ominous music track in the intro.
Yes my intention ...It's a scary time !!
The old City Gate was beautiful. That new brutalist bunker thing is repulsive.
I agree with you Paul, the powers to be at that time thought it would be a modern entrance to an old city and no when they put the Parliament building over there ??
What malta government do for malties and visitors people do they provide free food and other necessary stuff at home?
Think no free food. But old get free delivery..and say going to help employees and businesses but not see yet. Think some help not sure
well done
good job
Thank you my friend
what part of STAY HOME you do not understand ? :D
As long as he's lived here before 10th March he's fine, else he needs to quarantine for 14 days. Given the channel name he's prob been here a while
No one has told maltese citizens stay home ? But it seems you know more then me ? And if you see and hear i have stayed a safe distance from anyone
@@EnglishmaninMalta by Sunday they will tell everyone to stay home.
@@VALDIGNE but its still thursday ? So lets wait and see ...
All I can say is we must now stay at home as much as we can
Yes, stay safe ..If you go out stay well aways from people !!
Nice filming, hope that you don´t got flu when walking near people who whine, thanks🙏
No i stay well away from people
GoPro is much better, stabilizer is amazing. You just need a bit of fish-eye correction, if your model allows you to...
Thank you my friend, its the latest gopro 8 still learning
👍
🙏👍😵
Sir, how many days lock down in malta, pls tell me. Iam from india
Not sure what you mean coming into malta have 14 days self isolation ..We are not lock down malta
13:48 that's normal
Lunchtime normally full of maltese?
@@EnglishmaninMalta Yes, mostly weekends. However, the coronavirus affected Europe quite hard.
You ok Steve?
Yes i am good victor, just worry about summer !!
This is very strange, people walk without masks and without gloves. No quarantine? !!!
Well its just been proven that masks and gloves can not save you from this virus ..just stay well away from people, i did not get near anyone !!
No masks, no nothing my friend. Maltese people are immortal 💪😊
I'm In quarantine from Malta ❤
STAY SAFE MY FRIEND
@@EnglishmaninMalta ok man❤👍
Is Nice to live There and to be A happy Man!?
Not at the moments ...Not many happy !!
Mot noi tuyet voi
Thank you my friend
Mdina is not the only silent city in Malta.
Seems there are many now in malta, Sad to say !!
There are many more people out walking than I expected to see Steve. It is getting like that here in our small town. It is horrific when you see how it is in Italy, makes you realise the seriousness of it all. But what can you do but be sensible and keep going? Don't take unnecessary risks just for videos, only go out in the countryside if you go at all or anywhere away from people. Take care and stay safe.
Wonder about all the hype if you are a healthy person, its just like the flu, many die in malta with flu ? Its not the virus its the underlying problems you might have ....🤔🤔
@@EnglishmaninMalta You could not be more wrong. It's far more dangerous. Please don't fall for hype in either direction - look at the facts. COVID-19 has proved deadly in around 3.5 percent of confirmed cases, but the death rate in Italy is much higher (double that). Seasonal flu, which typically kills 0.1 percent of patients. Of 45,000 confirmed cases in China, where the epidemic originated, the vast majority of deaths were among the elderly.
The US CDC states that 31% of cases, 45% of hospitalizations, 53% of ICU admissions, and 80% of deaths associated with COVID-19 were among adults aged ≥65 years with the highest percentage of severe outcomes among persons aged ≥85 years. A study from the Chinese CDC showed patients older than 80 had a death rate of 15%, compared with 0.2% for those under 50. In South Korea, which has seen some of the lowest death rates, 7.2% of people over 80 have died, while only 0.1% of those under 50 - and no people under 30 - have been killed by the disease.
Correct me if I am wrong, but you appear to be a healthy older man - in his late 60's or early 70's?
You should take immediate precautions and move inside, socially distancing yourself from the risk of infection. If you are fortunate and suffer complications in a hospital with a ventilator and trained staff (probably true today, but not when the system is strained) - you will probably pull through, but if you get infected when hospitals are strained due to the sheer number of cases, triage might leave you in a very risky condition. This is happening, now. Deal with it maturely, rationally and don't allow hubris to cloud your judgement.
@@EnglishmaninMalta Unfortunately both myself and my husband both fall into the age category and we both have health problems but what can you do but hope for the best? You go when your number is up but I worry for the younger ones, it isn't just us old farts who have health problems, even many children do and you can be a carrier and not know it. Good luck anyway.
Take away is certainly better than nothing, I hope that by June the Virus is no longer so much of a danger, June to September is when Malta makes the most money. At least that is how it used to be.
Hello Alan, yes lets hope things get better ,
Sir i want housekeeping job in malta in hotel can u help me . I am from india
You have no chance for many months. Think a non-eu person need sponsor. There are many fb malta jobs check them out

Englishman in Malta that seems to be a world wide problem for some crazy reason. It’s like that in North America too and I heard it’s the same in Australia. The GoPro is great!
