    how many cows are you milking I milk 400 jerseys in a 50 stall delaval rotary how big is your parlor and are your ayshires registered or grade I'm from CT USA any jerseys near you

      We are currently milking about 60ish cows. We have a 6 a side parlour. Few jerseys starting to appear again now a lot of farmers in areas are paid for solids instead of volume. Jerseys disappeared when everyone was on a volume contract. We have always been Ayrshire’s and with us bottling and delivering our own milk it’s a point of difference from the black and whites most people have in Scotland.

      @@invercamey I bottle my milk as well and do cheese and yogurt do you do egg nog or isn't popular in the UK like it is here in the USA I'm all plastic jugs for milk are you glass or plastic and how many days a week do you bottle

      We are glass pints for basically everything bar the bigger volumes we use 10 litre plastic pails that are returned, sterilised and reused. We process 4 days a week, what about yourself?

      @@invercamey we process 5 days a week one day we make cheese another we do yogurt and the other days we bottle do you do any flavored milks I do chocolate strawberry and coffee milks and egg nog l asked if you do egg nog as well and are your ayshires registered

      We don’t do egg nog no. We do milk and double cream. Flavoured milk and butter are on the list to do as soon as I can get round to it. We are a member of Ayrshire society but we don’t have pedigree cattle.
