I just came across your channel. It's right up my ally. Im an Australian Aboriginal woman...didge for me refers to the didgeridoo or yidakai....is that what it refers to for you?

Hi Margy, thanks for that. Didge is short for didgeridoo. Yidakai is the real name I think.
I was in Australia for a year in 2006/7 mostly in Adelaide but I did visit Cairns and Darwin

Nearest big town is Preston. Not many mushrooms yet, been very dry for a while now. Now the rain is back hopefully something might have popped up.
Got some shiitake mushrooms a couple of weeks ago that where grown on logs.

@@didgedave1971 you’re just across the Pennines then better for shroom hunting I think. Shiitake are some good medicinal shrooms and repeat flushes off the logs for sometime. Happy hunting love your content.

I inoculated 4 alder logs with mycelium in 2014 with a mate and he half buried the logs in his garden and they are still fruiting.

Subbed after watching less than a minute. Being in South America after having lived in rural Sweden for over a decade, trying to start a farm on the edge of the earth. You feel like exactly the kind of Englishman I miss interacting with.
