    0:11 For the first problem, let X= price of the item and hence 15/100 x = 10 dollars hence x =1000/15 = 66.666 or 67 answer 2:09
    2:18 For the second problem, I did it differently by assuming that the 30 machines have 30 items to complete, hence EACH machine will
    complete 7.5/30 item per hour or 0.25 item per hour, hence 5 machines would (since they all work at the same rate ) complete 1.25 items per hour.
    But since I assume (in the beginning ) that the work to be done is 30 items, then those 5 machines will complete the work (30 items) in 30/1.25 = 24 hours
    but since the 4 machines did it in 30 hours (given), then the difference (30-24) is 6 answer 5:02
    5:53. For the third and final problem, I break the 2 1/4 cups into 1 + 1 + 1/4 then after 2 (2/3) is removed it becomes 1/3 + 1/3 + 1/4 = 2/3 +1/4 =
    8/12 + 3/12 = 11/12 . So answer = C (between 3/4 and 1)

    5:27 in question given total cup capacity is 2(1/4) =9/4 (total)
    2batches of cookies for each batch cookie takes not 2/3 milk of total takes 2/3 milk similarly 2nd batch cookies takes 2/3 milk
    2/3 + 2/3 = 2 x 2/3=4/3 milk used out of 9/4 milk ===> which means remaining would be 9/4-4/3=11/12 milk remaining out of 9/4

    0:26assume cost of the sweater= XRs
    given 15% discount on the cost of the sweater X which means X x 15/100 = 3X/20 he buys with X-3X/20
    given in question that mel saved more than 10 so(X-3X/20) + 10 = X
    17X+200/20=X ==>200/3=66.66
    in question given more than 10 so if we put 11 in place of 10 then( X-3X/20)+11=X==>X=220/3=73.33 is coming then the answer could be C nearer to 75

    • @accountsequity5587
      @accountsequity5587 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Im assuming these are the simplest. The SAT also has really simple questions that you could get right if you don’t study. But it’s also got some difficult questions not everyone can answer. I am assuming the GMAT is somewhat similar.

    • @accountsequity5587
      @accountsequity5587 3 ปีที่แล้ว +20

      Additionally, these questions do require some knowledge. For example the first question could be answered simply by multiplying every possible answer by .15 and choosing the one that’s closest to 10 but he shows how to solve the question correctly, some people don’t know those little tricks and end up wasting too much time.

      Hi ! GMAT is an adaptive test meaning there is no specific difficulty level of the problems you'll get to see on the actual test. The more questions you answer correctly, higher gets the difficulty level of the next question. The questions discussed in the video do seem to be of moderate difficulty level

    This is way too complicated, I did it with easier steps
    Question 1: Multiply each price with 15% and see what is higher than 10$, so answer B. The answers are in the right order (lowest to highest) anyways.
    Question 2: Divide 30 hours by 5 machines and you directly get 6 hours.
    Question 3: Change the numbers in decimals, so you have 2.25 cups available for 0,67*2 = 1.34 cups of milk needed. Then subtract 2.25-1.34 and you have your answer 0.91, so answer C.
    Idk why there are such complicated methods, maybe my simple logic wouldn't work for other questions and that's why? pls let me know since i'm planning on taking the test.
