    New Zealand makes tough boats for serious fishermen. No messing around with lightweight gear or build quality.

    "DAMp good" video!
    My wife and I chose to visit Seattle (from Milwaukee,Wisconsin) in early May '13 for our 20th anniversary!
    We'd never been to the Pacific northwest and our research deemed it as a wonderful choice.
    It was glorious!
    NO rain for 10 days!
    We did see many umbrella stores, as we found out, we picked the least rain period of the year (we were surprised to learn that the natives did NOT buy umbrellas!) otherwise it DOES rain ALL the time!!!
    We flew in and used the public light-rail transportation in and out of downtown. It was clean, fast, inexpensive, relaxing and allowed us to enjoy passing through the outlying communities.
    We stayed in a nice motel near the SeaTac airport.
    We started with walking100yr+ Public Market along Puget Sound.
    Picturesque to the MAX, MANY restaurants, BAKERIES, fresh vegetables and seafood (including the "fish tossing" guys), fresh cut flowers, good COWDER!, COFFEE shops (including the original Starbucks. LONG lines of people from ALL over the world waiting to get coffee and souvenirs, we did go in).
    We did have lots of sun EVERY day with world class views over looking Puget Sound and the Pacific Ocean
    We took local transportation everywhere.
    The 1mi. '62 World's Fair mono-rail to the large fair-grounds with the iconic "Space Needle" (we did NOT ride up, WAY too expensive, there are other nearby taller downtown buildings with much cheaper fares or free to see the, admittedly great views, when sunny).
    Strangely enough, it's worth the visit to the destination WORLD CLASS Seattle Central Library Library designed by Rem Koolhass.
    If you go past you'll see why. FREE!
    A MUST DO activity is to ride the West Seattle commuter ferry. Cheap, fabulous views, not too crowded, "romantic and picturesque"!
    The West Seattle is very charming with all kinds of shops, restaurants, BAKERIES, bars etc. AND less crowded and touristy.
    One is very near the Alki Beach Park, free with a huge glorious long shoreline beach across the street from all kinds of restaurants, bars and shops. VERY low-key and user friendly.
    Taking the ferry back to Seattle at night is beyond spectacular! The uninterrupted views, the lit skyline and moonlight off the water is priceless AND free except for the price of the ferry ticket).
    The other must ride ferry is the one to Bainbridge Island, a longer and a bit more $'s, but worth it. Picturesque, more shops and restaurants and an excellent art museum. Great Seattle views coming and going.
    If your schedule permits, look into booking the Amtrak Cascades train from the recently restored beautiful King Street Railroad Station, if one possesses a valid US passport one can cross the Canadian border into Vancouver, of which we were unaware otherwise we would considered that also (not smart on our part...duh)
    One is RIGHT on the coast of Puget Sound and the Pacific Ocean going north to Bellingham, WA.
    Lots to see and do overlooking the Pacific including an attractive tourist friendly downtown and the nearby hillside campus of the West Washington University (beautiful setting).
    Stay over night in town or in Fairhaven just out of town from Bellingham (old restored tasteful downtown with ALL the amenities).

    What's the reason they don't sale these type of boats in South Florida? Is it because south FL is hot and the water saltier than the west and can corrupt the metal?

    • @joshhargrave7275
      @joshhargrave7275 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      These boats are aluminium, they cannot rust or “corrupt” as you say. My guess would be it is a long way to get the boats there and the Floridians prefer their open fibreglass boats

    At 2.52 they are "taking one for the team here" because the camera is getting wet and they are doing this in a bit of rain. Well-off, entitled, clueless weanie-babies that isolate from the real world, which is the homeless person pushing their meager worldly belongings across the background. I wonder if that person is heading to a restaurant for some warmth and comfort with Lobster thermidor, Beluga caviar, and Moët & Chandon for sustenance?

      Welcome to earth - you must come from another planet where they have outboards with the same name because on this planet these 3 are the most reliable outboards brands which commercial fisherman all over the world use.

    • @CaptainDayne
      @CaptainDayne 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@taniatait1791 yeah no i work on them! You should try it sometime. Makes you realize what is reliable, which one has overpriced parts, and what really sucks. By the way on our commercial boats we run suxkzuki. We also have 3 on a rack that are wasted less than 5 years old. Wake up! Dont follow the herd sheep.

    • @CaptainDayne
      @CaptainDayne 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@taniatait1791 I twist wrenches the least on the Mercury Verado series. But they have stopped the supercharged 300. And had a rod fly out the powerhead of a brand new one 150hrs on a 35' workboat. (Non supercharged 300) but their 5.5 gear case is bullet proof. Parts are slightly cheaper on american. Until you add all the fancy un needed shit or add the racing badge in it.
      Yeah maybe a coil pack or 2. But no midsection replacement ,lower unit failure beyond rebuild (yamajunk) , or rotted powerheads ( suckzuki). No catastrophic timing chain failure before first service(honda first service complete outboard replacement).
