Hey Manny, I wonder if you've ever come across these Bumblebee Pro RM-5 DiY ribbon kits. I can't afford a pair of Royer R-121 right now. Could stretch maybe to buying one Extinct Audio BM5 Viking this year, and a second next year. But, these Bumblebee kits are tempting, at around $249 for the kit.
@@compucorder64 I’ve re ribbon about 4 of those and they sound outstanding. My partner at my ribbon mic company those were his! Kind of blown away on how good they came out. He thought they sounded better than the other 144s but at the time those were more available in Europe not the US.
Back in 2010 I bought an Apex210B (just one of the several ALCTRON rebrands which I'd bet MXL are same) and man...was it dark! I love ribbons for e-guitars but this was almost unusable. Later I heard Dave from AA mics was modifying them up here and I should have tried that. I just ended up giving it away..
You know, I usually put that in a editing software, and I forgot as it uploaded this video that it was only on one side. When I recorded with my camera and built-in microphone lavals, it is only one side and then I transpose it stereo as I edit sorry about that.
I was just fucking with my headphones for like 5 minutes wiggling the wires pulling out the jack looking at my input seeing if it was screwed up. It didn't occur to me that, Manny would make a recording mistake. It's ok it's all RIGHT now

This is a no brainer for me. I'll be contacting you soon once I purchase the mics from Sweetwater.
Looking forward and honored 🎉
Hope you dig my Peeps ❤
If you get those new mic designs ever made up, contact Andertons in the UK as they often deal with boutique pedals, mics and guitars.
That sounds like a great deal Manny. Keep up the good work Bro. Would like to find out more about it, I live in Holland, . Great video thanks Manny

@@mannysmiclocker no problem to me, just wondered if your camera had glitched or something. My old phone used to so stuff like that.
