My dad had a very cool LTD just like it. No leash laws back then. He hit a dog at 70mph. Almost killed him. Then an old guy ran a red light and totalled the bike and again almost my pops too. I got pictures of him wheel barrowing it's parts around. One of the prettiest kawis ever made. That thing is a diamond
If there was just One bike that is exactly my dream bike, this is it! It's the one that was in the showroom in 78 when I was surprised at the Dealership at 11yrs old and got my 78 KE100. As I was stumbling around in total euphoria waiting for them to bring my yellow KE out to the parking lot, this bike was sitting there, making me dream of what could be some day. Later in life, other bikes that I have owned like my XS1100 Special or V65MAGNA and even present VTX1800C have elements that are reminiscent of that dream. I love it! Eric in NC
I had a LTD 1000 and when I go to work, my wife would take it out of the garage and take it for a ride when I’d ask her about it. She would say I didn’t ride your bike, but I could tell Cuz she loved the petcock on lots of memories😊😊
Ken the LTD is bad ass. I hate to tell you this but here in central Florida I rolled the 03 Low Rider out of the shop this afternoon and went to my local bike shop and picked up some small parts and then took a 50 mile ride the long way back home. Temps in the high 70's here today. Have a ride planned for New Year's day with some friends on the adventure bikes!!! Let JR run the shop and load up and come to Florida.
I drove one of these year round as a daily on Missouri. 2010 to 2013. Gave it to my step dad when i enlisted, he drove it for years before selling it due to an ankle injury. They sound amazing and id ride it across the country without worry.
These kind of videos show even tho you love harleys your a motorcycle enthusiast because you have as much enthusiasm over a 70s hotrod Kawasaki as anything, well maybe not as much as the new buells but you get a pass on that for obvious reasons lol. That's sweet as is buta sweet look would be some modern fat inverted sport bike forks and wheels a gunfighter seat and drag bars.
Oh my God in heaven, I want this bike!

One of the things i love most about this bike is the shape of the gas tank. It has a perfect shape to it and molds to the bike.❤
Beautiful bike, all the best for 2025 from Shaun in Norwich uk 🇬🇧

Wow what a beauty, I can spend hours just looking at this beauty,
Automatic 10 bonus points for a Kerker 'zorst! 🤘
(Remember those whacky 'from below' magazine ads in the 80s? Nah? Too young!)
Complete with Kerker! 👍
These old but gold gems inspire me to save my money and buy one.

I had an H1 500 Cafe Racer. My Bud had a Z1R. So cool. Somebody loved that bike. Now you do. It couldn't have landed in a better home.

In the 80s every gin mill in new haven to derby would have a handful of those parked in front along with poorly modified sportsters and some cb750s.
Those were the days!
Cows heading out to pasture, kerker headers
I traded a LTD1000 with a timing chasing guide issue for a Honda 175 twin streetbike , it was a good lil bike , but rather have that kawi back
What a beast! So compact and wicked sexy!
The rear fender ,isn’t that supposed to be Chrome.
Put chrome rear fender on it completes look
