- We came a long way from 2015 huh? 😈
This is just a quick video showcasing how much FGO has improved the level of quality of Noble Phantasms despite of the limitations the game has! So basically I picked one NP from each year that I personally think shows an unique type of NP animation (for the record that doesn't mean this are the best NPs of each year, they're just a selection that I did) hope you enjoy the video! 😳
Btw you know I had to put Yang Guifei on the list since she kinda started the trend of NPs that could blow up your old phone 😂

Funfact Abby wasnt just started the front Shot trend with NP but also the trend of almost everything powerful shoots lasers in their atack with the same sfx
It was Caster Nero who started the front shot NP trend 3 months before Abby.
King Hassan also did front shot, and he was released before summer 2.

アビーの宝具、実装当時に見た時は衝撃的だったなぁ。あそこから映像の歴史が変わった気がする。
今は顔面宝具祭りだけど、アビーのは未だに唯一無二感がすごい。

Kama would've been better for 2019 for being the first Servant to have a different NP animation depending on the ascension stage set on her.
Bruh, no, Abigail already had it one year and a half before Kama
Hokusai and Jeanne Summer too (altough their changes are low, compared to the other)

Abigail's NP does evolve per ascension but follows the same animation pattern, with the elements matching it.
Kama went from an omnidirection arrow shot with her clones to straight up lashing of her love from me big Kama/Mara.
@@edo1792 Yeah, but even, Abby NP's are VERY different in animations, it's not only because both have matching elements they're the same. So, Abby IS the first Servant to have a different NP animation through Ascension
Ah yes, 2020, the great destroyer of phones.
I wish to see more Servants who could change the battlefield after using their NP for a set number of turns. Or have a Servant drastically change attack animations and even sprite after using their NP. Also wishing the forgotten Servants to gain animation updates especially Jekkyll. I mean he's featured in the first opening theme song.
Aoko fits that, attack animation change, deck change, AoE Buster/Extra, sprite change, skill change, even replaces her NP with another NP.
Why Berserk Hyde doesn't have an NP that heals him and turns him back into Assassin Jekyll blows my mind. Literally makes him trash having a 1-time only NP. Even Arash can fire his more than once if you give him guts (and then it gets scary).

its always funny to me that the dev and the writer dont plan the game to continue this long, from niche series that isnt even mainstream at the time somehow being one of the biggest gacha mobile game

I was in Tōkyō in 2019 for hanami, stayed 3,5 weeks. Pretty much every konbini I went to had something Fate in it, it had more visibility than something like Pokemon even. I dunno how it is now though 😅

All summer 8 NPs are amazing.
Summer Sith and Summer Barghest are 4 stars with better looking NPs then most 5 stars
Vritra is still my favorite np coating the entire world with a massive dragon plunging toward the player is just badass

After 2020, except for oberon, the rest of the feelings are so perfunctory.

"evolutions"...many "upgraded" NP animations are just still images(with camera movement made to look like character movement) instead of actual body movement like og NP's. NP's even had mouth movements and very few do now.

For the money they earn it looks incredibly weak.
It looks as if they are trying to squeeze the juice out of the stone, which is their pissing engine, which cannot do normal CG, but can only do shaky sprites.

@@HunterTracks almost everything you describe, they cut corners on leg and hand animations and use flashy particles every now and then.And they use a lot of zoom-ins and sometimes they works sometimes it's like okita cut problem.
@@luciebarathlone730 they fired some stuff and bring new people every year for part time jobs, but yeah it's kinda same people, problem is content became stale and we got no new animations for old units but seeing how they do it now I'm glad they won't do it.
