I think it’s accurate.. Houston is going to ask high. It should be a no for the Grizzlies. If Smart is gone and Vince gets hurt, we are toast. The only way Smart should be gone is if another player who would be better than Smart for the role he should play.
Grizzlies FO invested a lot to bring Smart. Houston would have to bring a lot on the table.
The Grizzlies don't want to trade Smart. Then Kennard, Ziaire, and Konchar have to be traded to balance out the roster for a center and a wing that can start or play valuable minutes

I guess the 37 and 15 Edey had on Clingan was lite weight 😂😂😂😂😂... Edey was the most dominant big man in College the last 2 seasons
But that's not what Memphis needs. They have Ja, Bane and JJJ to attack, what they are seeking is a big defensive present and it is the reason why they want Clingan over Edey

The Grizzlies should stay pat! Edey will be a great addition. Clingan's ceiling is at most a lesser Rudy Gobert. We can still find a quality player at #39. Maybe another big.
The OKC trade set the price for a veteran. Smart is a former DPOY, so the deal is Smart for #3 + Landale or nothing.

I’m a fan of clingan and Sarr, but that is so damn stupid. Smart, dpoy only 3 seasons ago, then future #1s?!?! You could get a good existing center, one who is tested. Shit,, you may be able to get Claxton for that? How stupid!

That values clingan higher than 80% of the centers in basketball. That is such a ridiculous ask.
Houston will have Alpren, Clingan, Adams, Londale. 4 big men! 4 big centers. They may hold a lot of cards but they are vulnerable with that many centers. Actually, a lot of teams are stuffed with centers.
Houston’s cap explodes after next season. Green and Alpren are both going to be massive contracts.
The nice thing about the people who overvalue their items is, the decisions make themselves. Nobody is going to deal with Houston on those asks. Those asks are ridiculous!
