The Lucky Craft Gunfish is an absolute killer for me .... That's my main topwater bait. The lake I just went to, the report was that the fish were keyed in on the shad (and they were) but nothing my brother threw was working, cranks, drop shot, free rig, etc.(he tried it all)... I was throwing the chrome Gunfish 95 all day, just slappin' em'. Literally was 100° and still fishing topwater and still catching them. Got off the water by 130 or so but I caught 14 to my brothers 2. My bait was mangled by the end of the day. Such a beautiful site!
Y’all should have a Fields Report page on your website. Anglers can submit reports on bodies of water where they fished and the best reports get chosen to be published on your site. You can narrow it down by having options on it like by state, species, techniques. This should bring in more people who haven’t been to your site and them seeing a Field Report on a local body of water and seeing that you carry that product should bring in more customers 👀👀
You need some Sort or algorithm and program to sort it all and be able to separate it by state, body or water, etc. Otherwise it would be to time consuming for them to put up unless the hired someone just for that, but still it would take forever to sort through.
Great vid! I don’t use all of the baits but super informative and helpful!! My pond is only 8-9ft deep so a deep diving crank just won’t work. It needs to be dug out as I was told it was 18ft at one point. It’s a catch all for the surrounding neighborhood. But it has 6-8lbers. in it as I manage it for all 4 of us who own it. I exclusively fish it and try everything I buy here. Then a few times a year go to other states to fish. Love what you guys do and am grateful for all the amazing baits and info!!! I’m a tackle freak and never know what to use but just keep throwing baits till I get the pattern. August has been brutal!!!
Awesome stuff That's how I am I can't help it I've always been that way I take 15 setups with me every time I fish I tie different lures on every setup
@@thehookuptackle_usa one of my favorite topwater baits has become the whiplash driven wire its pretty sick I saw hippie using it on one of your videos so I got one to try and love it
The dog X has always absolutely out fished the gun fish and the shower blows in my body of water “chickamauga lake” even around grass the SB gets bit but it just seems that Bahama Milk or MB Gizzard just out produced them all. Now the Pop Max? Completely different story they smash all colors in the Pop Max in East Tennessee from Watts Bar to Dale Hollow.
Good stuff Ben .. I wish I could get away with one top water bait😦 guarantee you I have over a 100 in my boxes.😵💫 You mentioned you add a split ring to your top water ( Cool ) But I take it you tie your line to the ring rather then using a snap ? Dig your videos . The fishing down here in the SW Arizona sucks right now . 🤬
Do you add a split ring on all your topwater baits (in addition to jerkbaits)?? I tend to get reduced casting distance when i add a split ring to my fav topwaters? Many times when I put a split ring on my topwater baits, the lure tends to helicopter in the air, reducing casting distance…wind speed/direction affects casting distance too…I guess it’s a trade off of distance vs maneuver-ability/presentation. When I use a shorter, larger diameter leader (25 lb), the topwater lure, for me, will generally fly in the air better, and helicopter less….I’m referring to topwater lures around 5/8 oz or heavier..
Love it. Very helpful stuff. Thanks. Cheers 🍻
What a great breakdown! Thanks Ben.

So fun when they crush it like that!
I really liked this video. Definitely a little different than the normal and welcomed. Love the comparison between similar baits. ✌🏻😎🎣

I tie direct to the split ring.
Very helpful video. Do you change out your hooks on Evergreen lures. Their hooks are sticky but have a silvery color to them.
I don't until I need to. Color of the hook makes zero difference to me.
Timeline on Rising Son restock?

I always have either a split ring or a snap attached. Most of the time a split ring because I hate snaps, but sometimes I'm lazy and use a snap.
When is it ok to sink wake baits to over 50ft of water
For you - it's always ok. For normal people - never.
When you built your store , did you spend most of your budget on the bait tank? Dudes change the gravel to natural already.. geeeze.
