    I’m always interested to see video of the troops with monkeys from previous years, and find that the monkeys they made friends with as babies in Disneyland are still their special friends. You see one and the other is never far away. This week it was Toni and Pascal.

    Thank you Dave and crew for another great video. I wish I didn't have pet responsibility here, as I'd love to come and help but my babies come first. I love the hard work and labor of love it takes for these babies. Dave you are correct in saying how could anyone hurt such beautiful creatures, everything deserves a place under the sun to live their best lives. And VMF has for 30 years made it possible for those beautiful monkeys. Again thanks Dave. Looking forward to Saturdays live....
    I watch all VMF videos and the ads within to help out.

    Great episode. Dave's commentary is so informative and so heartfelt. As always, I love the slo-mo parts because the little wrigglers move so fast it's the only way to see how they move and how they show different facial expressions. The part with Josephine being so warm and comfy and sleepy in her blanket was beautiful. It will be good to see Jethro sometime because he has that special something! 👍

Also Thank You to all the staff, care team, and Volunteers for all of the work you put in for these precious little lives!!!♥️🥰🥰🙏🏼🙏🙏🏿 Mr Dave, Im with you. I can NOT comprehend how anyone could possibly look at these babies and not feel some type of joy??? I truly do not understand how someone could intentionally hurt, or kill these babies. I honestly can not wrap my head around it, and how messed up that individual must be. It's sad! Hopefully as humans we can try to do better!🙏🏼🙏🙏🏿

    The babies could not be cuter! I really enjoyed getting to see a bit of Keenan's integration. I was curious how it was going and hope we get to see/hear more about it. I'm always wondering what the males are getting up to after they're grown (besides fighting with each other). Sort of a mystery to me... For instance- do they huddle up with the groups of females when they sleep? or are they always out in their own trees keeping their lookouts even through the night?

    • @lynnbuonomo7611

    • @VervetMonkey
      @VervetMonkey ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Males tend to stick to themselves, when they under 3 years of age they may still huddle with the others, does not mean 2 males may not sit close to each other for warmth and protection in rainy weather

    What is the social dynamic of vervets that have lost their dominant male and there are not any other adult males that were his seconds, so to speak, to vie and move into the dominant male position? Will a troop wait for an adult male to come in and take that spot, if allowed by the females and matriarch, or will the troo usually wait until some juvenile males age up and select one or two to stay with the troop to replace the lost dominant male? I would suppose that within the enclosures, being that they are closed systems that its different from the wild vervets asmale juveniles do not age out and get pushed out into a bachelor troop as they reach adulthood anyway, so they must have adapted in some way so that the adult males can stay in the troop, but I guess this troop is fairly young and had no other adult males?

    Dave, just an idea. I am sitting here trying to chose gifts for the children in my extended family. We, like many of my friends have a $25 limit. It is too late this year. But, would you consider next year to create something in that price range for children.
    While $25 might seem not enough, I think if advertised right the potential volume would make it viable.

      @@margheritalauretta502 Ti rispondo io, nonostante il fatto che il mio italiano sia pessimo.
      Questo posto è un santuario molto reputabile. È in Sud Africa e la gente qui sono dedicate a salvare le scimmie orfane da 30 anni. Questo santuario è estremamente contro avere i primati nelle mani di umani. Loro devono rimanere con i loro simili, nel selvaggio e non nelle case della gente, anche se la gente dicono che daranno tutto l'amore nel mondo. Non è giusto nel confronto di questi animali di tenerle in casa, e dopo solo sei mesi non sono più piccoli e belli così. Diventano giovanili e dopo, diventano adulti e sono molto territoriali. Mordono chiunque entra in casa, aparte la persona favorita a loro. Buttano urina e fece in giro perché vivono sotto stress in una casa.
      Visto che il mio italiano è stra pessimo, a questo punto, e visto che non riesco a spiegarmi come vorrei in italiano, devo smettere di scrivere. Posso solo dire che questo organizzazione non da via questi orfani sotto nessun circostanze. Gli orfani vivono con le mamme scimmie adottivi, qui nelle tante ettari di terra della Fondazione Vervet Monkey. Anche se non mi credi, l'ultima cosa giusta è di provare di togliere una scimmia del loro famiglia. Ciao e scusami per il mio italiano, per favore.
