Good morning from Alabama. After the passing of my husband, my oldest son came Saturday and cleaned around my Crepe Myrtles and one of my fig bushes. He said mom, we want to make this place easier for you to maintain. What he cleaned looks so much better and Lord willing, I’ll be able to keep it maintained. Bless you, Danny & Wanda.

Your physical labor will keep your mind going, and vice versa, keeping you "young". Do as much as you possibly can. Don't get discouraged, do not mourn as those who have no hope. The Lord will help you, for He is your very present help in time of need.
I just turned 75 this month. Praise the Lord. I was given a couple of months to live 12 years ago. I told the doctor that this was Gods business. A few surgeries and treatments the last few years haven’t taking away my knowledge that God decides when and where. I don’t have wants anymore. Little by little I’m having my children come and choose pictures, paintings, furniture and jewelry. Keeping what I enjoy using and looking at. A simple life. A peaceful life. A life lived with the presence of God and a partner that came to me late in life. God is good. Thank you for your message Danny. God Bless.
I am 66 and facing the fact that my body is breaking down. Hip needs replacing. Thyroid issues. Plus lots more. A bit of a shock 🤦🏼♀️

Sometimes the thing's you own really end up owning you ( less is more and more is less)
I've been down sizing all summer, little by little. Still planning on continuing the process right out the gate as soon as Spring arrives. Lord willing. I had 2 beautiful wooden chairs, that I wasn't planning on selling in my garage sale. We were using them to sit on. This elderly lady asked could she buy the chairs. I knew the minute she asked, she was going to take them home with her. I said we wasn't planning on selling them. But if you want them you can have them for 5 dollars each. She smiled so big, It blessed my heart. I helped her load them in her truck. Thank you for porch time. I look forward to it every Tuesday.
A couple of retired neighbors down the road felt a calling to missionary. They sold everything and moved to South America.
Everybody's checking out of the internet! We're tired of all the malarkey, shenanigans, tactics and antics. Same with television. We have not had cable/satellite television for over 2 years now. The internet is up for debate now too. It's all become so invasive and disturbing.

The internet can be used for good or evil. How you use it is up to you! Choose wisely. Many good people receive an income from using it. As you do. God Blesses those He wishes to Bless. I never forget that Satan is smart. Discernment is a necessity in life!
Well..... We know the games being played so be conscious. We must protect our vessel from what we allow to enter. I gave up TV over a decade ago about 29 and just turned 40. I only have one social media app FB. I don't put anything out I wouldn't stand by. As far as the internet. It is a powerful thing but the majority use it for distraction and powers that be for manipulation of the mass. I suggest you treat it as a tool. Use it within those parameters and simply be conscious of the things you search given the times we live. If you're smart enough to spot the malarkey, I'm certain you understand where there is a will there is a way. They're having to tighten the screws because a small group of folks like ourselves are like bloodhounds and we're cracking the codes. They do not have any other option and objective is to deter you. Just view your World using eyes that see and you'll be fine.

We have our 11 acres and feel extremely blessed. 3 garden areas, laying hens, and meat chickens each year. We harvest deer each year and fish for our protein sources. Heat with wood and have 5 years of firewood and a small solar system that provides us with 60% of our electricity. A smaller house that's efficient with a manageable mortgage.
We have everything we need for harder times ahead. We grow an abundance of food each year and work hard each year to store and share that abundance. We downsized everything 8 years ago when we moved to our homestead. We are blessed with good health, and each year becomes more challenging, but we praise God for everything we have. God has guided us every day, and his will has enveloped our lives.
We are totally content and happy with our love filled lives. Frugal simple living is a true blessing.

Prayers for healing and correction
Thank you Danny for your Christian testimony. I and my wife are born again believers in our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ. Thanks for those encouraging words of seeking and praying for God's "perfect" will for our lives. There are doors beginning to open for us. And the challenge is for us not to rush and get ahead of God.

Thank you Mr Danny. Appreciate y'all's honesty. Moved from the suburbs to 19 acres in the country that had been barely lived in for 10 years. Is it worth it 100% yes. It's been a ton of work and it's not done yet but we just keep working and enjoy every second of it. We feel that this was the place we were supposed to be as we had tried to purchase other properties and all fell thru. The property we ended up with was sold and out of nowhere we received a call asking if we were still interested and the deal went thru with no issues. Just have to say we are happier than we have ever been here after 27 years of searching for our forever home. Wishing y'all a blessed day.

I Thank the Good Lord for every little bit of rain that we get.. in Texas we have been down to 33 twice so far
I left a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2-story house for a one room shack with the bare minimum of necessities. As I built and added some plumbing, etc., I planned for the event that I would never have "modern conveniences". It's only as hard as you make it to leave all the materialism behind. Hey - I only have one room to clean! Plus an added utility building. Start small and plan your needs as you go.
I agree. We need to learn to be content with what the good lord provides.

A lady I know was having issues with her eyes and started putting a drop of caster oil in each eye every night. When she had her f/u visit with her eye doctor a couple of months later, her glaucoma was gone, her vision much improved, and no longer had cataracts. Her doctor was amazed. Praying for you and Miss Wanda.
Try to remember that moving forward, isn't the same as doing more. If you are doing to the best of your ability, you are doing both.

I don't have much, but thankful for God blessing me with all I need. I had dreams of having a Homestead with my best friend and Steve passed away in September and I am not capable of doing that by myself. I moved to Alaska after a good talk with the Lord. Did I have any family there nope. But I had lived there in the early 1990. But he said if you move back and do what I want I'll get you there with your own home and a great life. Here I am the easiest move ever been here over 3 years and I have the perfect life. We have owned 2 properties for 18 yrs, I am 60 my husband is 64. Keeping up with 2 places that our an hour apart is very hard work. We know we need to downsize, we will have to move.
Praying for the Lord to help and guide you! We are in our 40s and crossed this bridge recently and I don’t know how you’ve done it for so long. It is WORK! Painstaking!
10 yrs ago, we moved from GA to AL, we realized we didn’t want to keep up 2 places up. Sold our place in GA for a profit and payed off our place in AL. No regrets.

Thank you I needed to hear this. I so would like to move out of the city on a couple of acres with a well. I am very concerned about being on the city water system. My small house needs plumbing repairs and it has foundation issues. I am retired. Don't forget that people can buy land but remember the sting of property taxes. And their is a temporary place to move without the severe corruption. But that's Temporary. No one will escape the wrath of God. We cannot hide. No place on or in the earth. No place in the heavens for the wicked. Time is short. So take this time to have a relationship with Yeshua. Thanks so much for this pep-talk, Danny. Your one statement that we must seek land/property using much prayer, was something I needed to hear, though I have already used prayer. It reminded me, as you kept talking, that God will provide what you can physically handle. That's an encouragement I needed! I have desires for a homestead, and wondered how we at our age of 67, could even run one. I will keep praying for God's will and His timing for us at our age for our homestead.
Godliness with contentment is GREAT GAIN❤ 1 Timothy thats where Im at in life and it took many trials of life to get there as God was molding me to be more like him.

Up here in Maine leaves are gone. Cold nights freezing and chilly days. Would like to make it down south and check it out sometime. Growing season here is summer and the dirt is poor. With clay. So there ya go. Lol. Nice vids.

We moved recently. After we had stopped trying to make it happen, we had poured so much love into an old home and old place. We then tried to build on some land we had free and clear so we could have a 20 acre homestead. That did not pan out and we are so thankful in retrospect! The home we rebuilt while we lived in it, homeschooled, worked from home - it was a challenge! It was a blessing and brought us close, led us to pray a great deal, and humbled us. It also was our refuge from the city. It’s not too far from where Kevin and Sarah’s old place is. We prayed and searched and asked God to lead us. When it was HIS time, HE moved us almost unexpectedly because we had decided to be content and wait. Everything went seamlessly. What an insane overpriced time to buy, but He provided exactly what we needed and enough to do it. It’s a much better homestead and close to the land we own and with room for a large garden and animals which we moved from
The last place. I can not explain it. It didn’t make sense. We have been here a month, still settling in. It feels like we have always been here. I don’t attach emotion to places - we were military and moved a lot. I cannot explain how different this is but we for sure know it is the Lord’s Will for us to be right here right now and I am very humbled and grateful for that. Now we have enough space to move my mother in and care for her as she ages. To me, that is beautiful! We have space for hospitality, Bible Study group, homeschool activities that we can host. A refuge. I am praying the old place (which is now so nice and new and well-priced, everything brand new mechanically) will be the blessing to the next folks that it was to us.
Same thing happened to us 12 years ago. We left the showing knowing we belonged there. God was with us and led the way.
We just need to pray & listen.
Danny, what I’m seeing as I search for properties are a lot of places that were held onto for too long by elderly folk. I don’t blame them, I know they didn’t want to move, but they lived there for so long that the fences are all rotten. The fields have not been taken care of. The home is in massive disrepair. They are asking for a lot of money for their property and old home but what they don’t realize is that they never really took care of what they had because of their failing health, and no one, at least a young person, wants to pay that much money for it because they realize it’s gonna take twice as much money to fix up what’s there.
I wish that some of the more elderly people out there, with large pieces of land and a farmhouse, that they move before it becomes that much more difficult to fix repair their homes.

My little homestead is on about ten. I've sank a lot into it but I'm waiting and watching. I'm unsure if America will be our future. If things simmer down and don't go where I think they are I'm thinking Appalachia is my final homestead. I like the culture and people. Land is still reasonable out in eastern Kentucky. I like my place but I won't live under tyranny. My only regret is central Indiana climate. I came into this lifestyle. I just wanted land but was led to begin converting around 2018. I worked in private military sector and begin seeing things I didn't like and questioned. I grew up tending my grandmothers garden. As an adult had gardens a few years. 2018 I bought a BCS...... Now I've got a mid sized tractor 😆. I'm a Hoosier I love the working class Bible Belt culture and manners. The colder climate definitely creates hurdles. I've been looking at large plots in Central America in a few countries. I've heard it suggested in the future Central America is said to be one of the freer places. I know I can find 2000 acres 100 miles outside of any grid. Ultimately Belize is the least densely populated place on the planet. It is part of the Caribbean off the second largest reef averaging water temp is 80 degrees. Belize itself averages between 75-80 degrees year round. In my mind if I have water with a head I can build a hydro turbine. I'm going wherever I have the freedom to exist as Intended. I've spent quite a bit of time in several Central America countries doing mission work. I promise I'm not selling everything and going into the bush 😆 I'm honestly trying to make it to 45 to qualify for the QRP program in Belize. Fast track citizenship, tax breaks and no import tax on personal belongings.

Your comment about our bodies deteriorating made me say, you're absolutely right. We are spiritual beings as well as human beings. Therefore, as followers of Jesus Christ we are transformed to live forever in our heavenly bodies. We will reside with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Those that choose to not believe in Jesus and accept Him as their Savior will find themselves spending eternity in agony. Will they be in a human body, without decay, to suffer the fullest extent of their judgement? Or will they also be a spiritual being? Either way, they will be in agony forever. The choice is up to you.
You are truly blessed by God with the skills to do so many things.
