  • Tom Moore & Archie Moss perform 'The Rose Tree', a Morris tune from Bampton, as part of the FolkEast X Tradfolk Sessions. We recorded these in a disused Victorian squash court at Glemham Hall, the location of the FolkEast festival in Suffolk.

    Back, way back maybe 40 years ago ,playing for the Morris I thought the Rose Tree rather plodding and mundane ( must have been the way we played it - ha)
    Your sensitive and nuanced interpretation is a belated revelation.

    Just listened to it twice again; it is astonishingly subtle and at the end surprisingly exciting. So good.
