Didn´t Hegel talk about some characters and moments as personifications/ materializations of "the idea" developing itself in the world? wasn´t that somehow similar to the idea of Jung and this this characters that "channel" the acumulated energy of a more inmaterial realm? Loved this channel ! by the way, I have a strange question for you (about drugs), I know you probably won´t read this but if you do and you have free time to lose in a not interesting question, write me an inbox !

@@colingeorgejenkins2885 You won't uncover meaning by being spoon-fed meanings but you can share food as you can the truth and likewise drink from a shared cup.
The nature of shared being is not really an external 'to do list' but a simple sharing in remembrance of a true brotherly (human) love - for to love one another as I have loved you was the gift that shares on.
Remembrance and recognition is not 'in' the mind that thinks to walk or think alone - but is the renewing of the mind of a Christed awareness. The emphasis was not on Jesus' body, but on his love - as the truth of your own - in a Common Father. One Life in All - without exception.
I just wrote something. The authority of your own heart is in your transparency to truth - which is beyond words and symbols - but can still point there.

Super stoked to have stumbled upon your channel, have thoroughly enjoyed your guy's conversations. You guys are a perfect example of the influence that Jung would inevitably have on future generations and it's truly exciting to know that so many people (particularly younger people) are taking up the task of delving into his ideas and exploring the Unconscious. These times are calling forth many people to walk the path of Individuation... who knows what's to come. I think we all feel it's something big.

Or living many life as long people after ones death seek and need this person. So yes, in Jung’s mind or in the mind of the people he got this present from he had to live on after life to help and lead those new individuals that was comming to take his thoughts and wisdom furter, this God would live on as long some still will need him. And it seems that this also have come thru ….. jo lifes on in our mind and all hi has written and speaked again will be told of others.

After escaping the clutches of drug addiction and wasting countless hours on mundane, unproductive activities, I finally regained my passion and thirst for knowledge - in particular, psychoanalysis. I subsequently stumbled upon this channel and I must say...I am hooked bro!!! Jung always had a strange mystique about him, he is by far the most fascinating individual I have ever come across, with such profound ambitions. I am excited to delve deeper into the world of jungian psychology and also nietsczhe , even Adler, freud seem to be worth investigating (although I don't resonate with Freud nearly as much as Jung) even Greek philosophy, ancient myths, comparitive theology ,anthropology, so much interesting shit to learn about man.... . I always liked the idea of not only trying to analyze something and explain it in scientific terms but also open the mind to the infinite possibilities of existence and attempt to remodel the way we perceive our reality. I believe Jung presented a more esoteric, somewhat mystical interpretation of the mind and how powerful it is, but described it from a scientific standpoint. ...the respected scientist may of merely been his persona. ,but to maintain credibility he had to be careful of how he expressed some of his theories .it actually disgusts me how people brush his theories aside as if he was mad , even though he coined so many terms we use to this day. You're an introvert are ya?? Guess who came up with that idea 🤣 Thank you for putting work into sharing these insights with the world, much love from New Zealand. Peace boyos

Frank Herbert's Dune series is hugely influenced by Jung and everything you have referred to in this chat is reflected therein. The idea of a saviour and then an antithesis to that. Tarot is used in the same way they disuss here. The collective uncionscious, myth building, patterns, destiny etc etc. The books are a masterwork and I'm readjng them at the same time as reading Jung. Great discussion. One of my faveorite books of all time is Memories, Dreams and Reflections. Speaking of Freud and Jung's relationship, I remember Jung talking about how he finally confronted Freud, while he was lecturing or something, and Freud fainted because of it. And then Jung carried him away, and he said Freud looked up at him like a baby. And yeah, then Jung went through a big shift. Amazing man, and an amazing life story.

    • @Built_By_Bacon
      @Built_By_Bacon 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Just read that book. It’s the first official Jung story I’ve read but man it shifted something in me that I can’t describe: i think it was that Freud looked up at him like he (Jung) was.a Father, but I need to double check

    • @journeysmt4484
      @journeysmt4484 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@Built_By_Bacon WIld stuff, man. Yeah, and considering Freud usually carried himself, it seems, as quite the opposite, like Jung was his son or disciple. Ahh man, and how Jung would see Freud's own dogma around his own theories and how he just would not even consider that Man's religious yearnings as anything more, and kind of freak out, if Jung even tried to go in that direction in the conversation. Reminded me of my chats with my dad sometimes. haha.

It was much easier to misinterpret and misrepresent niche concepts in those days, especially from a far off culture like India. Nietzche and Schopenhaur are two of the best philosophers of all time, not to mention German men. But as brilliant as they were; both had an incomplete understanding and personally biased perspective on Buddhism. Schopenhaur used it to affirm his radical pessimistic aestheticism and Nietzche thought of Buddha as a slight improvement upon, but still too similar to Christianity and relied largely on second hand exposure to it. I was disappointed but not surprised by some of their takes. Eastern spirituality and philosophy would suffer misinterpretation by westerners well into the 20th century. (The Tibetan book of the dead as its commonly known in the west is a good example.)

Maybe Jordan Peterson has a deep understanding of Aion, and it’s for that reason he doesn’t talk about it, and instead preaches the importance of religion/myth. There’s no doubt he’s converted plenty of his viewers to Christian, or at least to believing in many of the same values. He could be deliberately trying to reverse/slow the coming of the Anti-Christ.

St. Peter was the first antichrist, just look at his crucifixion and the temple built in his name. His legacy is an institution that continued the spread of the evil of the dominator culture that has infected all the world. People like Jordan Peterson might seem like they have your best interest in mind but the road to hell is paved with good intentions, see the career of the Catholics as I have mentioned as reference. Peterson is closer to an anti-Christ than a Christ.... I know how easy it is to think you know the truth and be wrong the whole time. I always believe that I could be wrong. I’m always learning, and I know how little I know already (I’m only 24).

    • @oliviapenelopehope4497

@Jordan M , Being smarter just means that my brain is better at making good arguments about how stupid I am.
It just means that I can think abstractly pretty well. So, I can see all the ways that I don’t measure up to what I should be by now.
It just means that my brain is a quick thinker of all the things I’ve done wrong or stupid in my life.
The more intelligent you are, the more you realize how little you know and how many ways you could have done things better. It also causes more negative introspection.

The sideboard DID crack loudly suddenly at that moment and Freud was so shocked he stopped talking to Jung.

Hey Stef, I recently found out something, you know how I was tryna say that you should probably look into Hinduism to understand Jung's work better because they have a lot in common. It turns out most of Carl Jung's work comes from Hinduism I'll give you the basic terminology translated to English,
    HINDU - JUNGIAN
    1. Atman - Self
    2. Samskaras - Memory seeds
    3. Karmic Imprints - Archetypes
    4. Alayavijnana of Yogachara; Chitta - Collective unconscious
    5. Rtam - Synchronicity
    6. Mandala - Mandala
    7. Kundalini and Chakras - Kundalini and Chakras
    8. Shiva - Shakti - Soul images (btw Jung often uses the word energies for 'Shakti' but that is not the right conceptual translation)
    9. Gurus, Devatas - Thought Beings
    10. Avidya is internal - Removal of Satan as externally personified Evil
    11. Yoga sufficient for liberation - Abandonment of historical Messiah
    12. Yuga - Aion ... and so on...
Jung visited India in 1937 and similar to Nietzche's views on Hinduism he said that Indian men were 'whole' while considered Westerns/Christian philosophy as broken, due to reason I can't list here (read Carl Jung & Hermann Hesse), and should learn from Hinduism to make a more balanced system. He also published work on Kundalini Yoga in the latter part of his life and also started believing in reincarnation before his death.
Now I know that from very early on in Christianity, people are taught to believe that Hindus are devil worshipers and things like that, but that is not true, and I think Carl Jung understood that but if he speaks in Hinduism's favour he'll be termed as mad (which is exactly what happened) and that's why even though Jordan Peterson has a really good interest in Hinduism, he hides it because modern Christianity will never understand it as, according to my understanding, it has turned into a toxic controlling mechanism rather than a pure religion what it used to be. It's really sad, and Hinduism is constantly being attacked by this modern Christianity, their aim is to wipe it out from the face of the earth because it shows the truth. You do a really good job in understanding real Christianity from Carl Jung/Hinduism perspective. please keep up the good work.
Also, one book I would like to suggest is 'Raj Yoga - Swami Vivekananda'. Please do the next videos on this book, I promise you'll be blown away. Also please reply or I'll have to spam this lol!

TRULY greatful to have stumbled on your channel man, I'm a 22 yr old from India and I have recently known what an enigma Carl Jung is and all this is the furthest thing from my cultural eidos.. I sat down with Aion as a part of the series of books by CG I thought I would read and the amount of self tutoring I was having to do was really strenuous and I was almost giving up.
    But then, synchronicity and you.

sounds like you are may be somewhat of a 'natural' Medium. (or at the very least, you would benefit greatly from finding a local Spiritual Development Circle (which is run by a proper Medium) and learn how to further your skills. (also, most importantly, how to properly protect yourself).
hint: sage and salt and candles does not protect you.
Creating a circle of protection may help in some situations, but not in others.
Basically, find a proper medium and learn the ropes properly, coz it sounds like you are pretty much already there.

i ended up typing way more than I thought I was going to type.
But hopefully something here within is useful ;)
      - its late at night here in London and I was up (aimlessly online).
ok,, read through this at your leisure.
Maybe some of it applies, and maybe other bits dont apply.
Tarot cards are really just a reflection of what is within you or around you.
Its not really mediumship, (which I think you would be good at).
Mediumship is a combination of 3 things:
      Hearing, Seeing and Sensing.
Hearing = words, music etc, in your mind.
Seeing = images & scenes, in your mind.
Sensing = When you are given the feelings or emotions. (Sensations gives a deeper understanding of the Images you are being shown). So always try to sense that which is around you when you lucid dream or when you are meditating.
Even better, try doing this when you are not meditating ;) ie: when you are just relaxed and have some freetime.
But also, its important to make sure that you only connect with Good entities and not ''playful' ones.
(playful entities could range from ones that give you mis-information, or even horrible words)..
Basically if you hear bad words, then obviously its not a good entity, so just cut your connection and ask your guide to come closer.
Basically, focus on connecting to your guide, (and not random passing entities). coz in the end, if you establish a proper connection to your guide, then you will have a proper 2-way link where you can talk and receive answers clearly and learn further ;)

But,, mostly, do you know how to 'close down' your chakras ?
      if not then basically;
ALWAYS ask to connect to your guide before doing any such work.
(coz when you do spiritual stuff, your chakras start glowing.. and this can attract either good or bad entities)...
So, basically: before you start, ask to connect to your guide... ask your guide to "Come Closer" (your guide is just a thought away, so it will come vibrationaly closer to you).
Then ask for a dome of protection around you.

To Open: bring energy from below you, up your body (or spine).. and as it passes through each chakra, imagine either an expansion glow in each chakra,, or a door opening... or a light glowing brighter). travel from lower to upper chakras.. finishing with the one above your head (crown chakra).
Make sure you actually can feel the energy rising up you and out of your head.. and imagine each chakra glowing.
To be honest, its actually a lot safer to NOT 'open up' your chakras at home. But if you really do want to open up, then you MUST close down when you are done.
Even if you dont open up your chakras,, If you do any spiritual work (or trying to hear voices, music or whatever, then some of your chakras would have opened up from this),, so you still need to close down (regardless whether you have opened up or not).
      Basically:
      opening up is optional...
But ALWAYS close down (whether you opened up or not).
If you ever feel strange vibes or bad stuff around you,, or dodgy people with bad vibes, then just shut down (regardless if you are open or not).
Always call your guide to come closer and to protect you if you feel you need it.
really its just basic principles of safety.
I know its just energy and entities, and 90% of the time its all harmless... but there is always the chance of attracting not so nice entities.
Hence, closing down is ALWAYS essentially important.
And you close down in the EXACT OPPOSITE way that you would open up.
Opening up or closing down is a quick process,, no need to spend 20 minutes doing it. it can be effectively done in less than 2 minutes.
Theres definitely spiriutual circles in canada ;)
you clearly have a natural ability to do this, so probably a good idea to just be safe while you are doing what you already do ;)
Feel free to ask your guide to protect you while you sleep.
No need to imagine different colours for each chakra. (it over-complicates things).
White energy is good enough... (or blue if you wanna do healing).
if you never opened up before (then probably no need to start opening up, as you are already likely a partially opened channel). But please do get in the habit of closing down (even if you dont open up).
theres a few videos on line on how to open up and close down, but i notice they are long 20 minute videos.
Really i have outlined the main principles here.
if it didnt make sense, then feel free to ask me ;)
actually, every human has the ability to do all of this; but some can do this easily and naturally, and others would need to practice and learn how to do it.
The ones who go to learn will get more knowledge about protection and technique.
The ones who are natural will be more easy to do it, but they dont get a chance to learn the protection stuff coz usually the 'naturals' dont go to development circles or teachers.
By the way: a development circle in canada should be cheap.
In London, its about $5 per class.
Any excessive fees would be a sign of a business (rather than an actual real circle).
The main thing from this email is that you protect yourself and get to know your guide.
it all starts by you asking your guide to come closer.
(you can also refer to your guide as your 'gatekeeper'
      ).
      Hope this helps.

it is really interesting...and i guess a bit amazing that i ended up here on this video, and proves Jung once again. i am right at around minute 14:00 or so... and really, great show guys. please bear with the long post? so, yesterday i got this 'idea' (though it was a bit more than that because the idea was pushing at me so to speak, so maybe more 'intuition', yeah?) to look into Jim Morrison for some reason out of the blue, as i am not exactly one of the biggest fans of the Doors. but i watched a 'reaction' video the song 'The End', so this thing kept pushing me to look into Morrison... just kind of his life and death story and such. and especially that whole "Break on through to the Other Side" kind of thing he was known for. you know this whole "Shaman" persona that he had going. but i found some amazing kind of bootleg rare interviews on here, and what i seemed to keep seeing/finding was that to the extent that he even *did* 'Break through to the Other Side' and come back with some 'Shamanistic' kinds of 'Visions' so to speak that he put into his poetry and lyrics... that it really in all actuality scared him, or at least unnerved him, to the point that i believe that is what drove him into a basically self destructive raging alcoholic escapist as well, because i am not sure he could really totally handle what he was so infamously 'breaking on through' to.
anyway, now you are talking about Jung having basically done just that... he was "breaking through to the other side" of the Veil so to speak, but it had him sleeping with a gun next to his pillow as he was not sure his mind could endure it and stay anywhere near 'Sane' or maybe even coherent. and i think it *speaks volumes* about Jung's kind of 'Spiritual Intelligence' that he *did* in the end not only stay coherent but write a book about these abstract things that others could actually understand! well some people anyway... but enough to globally recognize him for the true Genius he was. i can't help laughing to myself because as youtube basically follows your previous video choices there is a thumbnail of Jim Morrison looking right at me while i watch this and can't help but come to the conclusion that he may just have lived up to the 'hype' about him being this 'Shaman' who broke on through, if only he was able to have done it AND hold himself together enough to genuinely convey it artistically or otherwise, without conforming to the 'self destructive substance abusive rock star' Archetype as you may call it, that is so easily shrugged off by the 'Society' that Jung was able to keep at least a foot in the door of enough to have them pay attention or at the very least recognize his contributions and acknowledge his achievements.

I find Jung's assistant fascinating. Any chance you could explore her a little. She is so sharp but had the advantage of being 'once removed' from his body of work whilst practicing it with her patients. She was into her esoterics as well and Jung was acutely aware of this. There are a few of her videos on youtube. Anyhoot food for thought!
Another subject possibly: are we doing gods work or the divil's? How could you know?
Does it matter in the context of 'as above so below'?
    Keep it up lads!

Frude wanted to makes dogma of his findings and Jung said NO , then they parted because Jung thought, the very thing Frude had destroyed, wanted to replaced the by his Dogma .

Great episode, fellows! Loved hearing about your thoughts on Aion. I am a fan of Jung's work, but I actually come into this subject from the astrological perspective first. I haven't read Aion, but the research I've done on the precession of the equinox and the ages of astrology has been enlightening to say the least. I study astrology quite heavily and regularly riff on the ages. There are many things you can do to dive extraordinarily deep into the specific of the ages. It's especially important to understand that we're moving from a Venus-ruled age of Pisces at 0° to a Saturn-ruled age of Aquarius at 29°. Anyway, thanks for the content, you guys are awesome.

It's actually my first Jung book and I fucking love it. I guess Kabbalah and Hermetics prepared me for it, and it actually expanded my understanding of them. Thank you for this, I've actually been searching for an overview: sinchronicity much?

I think the one thing Carl Jung failed to realize is, self discovery/awakening has to be done by oneself. So it is disheartening to know, he felt he failed at his mission to awaken people. I have been currently trying to get rid of this need myself to show people and open their eyes, but I realized, it is not up to me. It is up to them. Now I just focus on me, because that is where it starts, with oneself. Hope this the right podcast. I listened to a few tonight. Just wanted to say my piece on that and I am thankful for your posts. :)
