Arnel is the man! He sings with so much passion and emotion, never misses a lyric, sings the songs as they were written and made to be sung. Legend!
This set of 3 songs was wonderfully executed by AP, and his vocals sound even more amazing as the Tour goes on further, I noticed that on his 2022 @LIVE Concert in Amalie arena in Tampa, in the mid part of the Tour, it was a phenomenal show! watching in person is the best!! Now, he's doing it again in 2023. I noticed great band interaction in their performance this time, does not show any feuds, haha!! Hope during this 2023 tour, since it's their 50th Anniversary, maybe a surprise visit of SP would boost their popularity, even have a duet with AP, as we know he made it clear that he would not rejoin. the band, but SP still receives a certain percentage(12.5%?)of Concert Tours and paraphernalia, so SP still benefits if he does .. Who knows this year would be their last. I got tickets, can't wait!!
SP is too old to hit the notes that fans want to see him hit. And he doesn't really care anymore. Can't blame him. Enjoy your retirement, Steve.
I wonder if Steve would be ok with doing an unplugged version of the songs I wouldn’t mind seeing that

I don’t think SP will sing alongside AP because he can’t hit the high notes anymore the way he sang before . I googled him to see how he sounds now out of curiousity because his hardcore fans keep on bashing Arnel . He doesn’t sing and sounds like he used to , the audience keep singing for him see this @Hard Rock Cafe NYE at NYC 2023 . If he sing alongside Arnel he won’t be able to catch up the way Arnel use to move on the stage and he can’t reach that high notes he used to some 20 plus years ago. I hope his hardcore fans realized that before they keep bashing or hating on Arnel because even their Idol lost his beautiful amazing voice already . No permanent thing in this world everything will fade in the right moment/ time . Everything and everybody has an end , so they should stop bashing Arnel because he even help their Idpl SP to have an income from Journeys concert with Arnel . He recieved percentage from the concerts while he is doing nothing just receiving
The money while Arnel is the one doing the hard job singing nights after night during the concerts .

The best show.. the energy is very powerful congrats Journey 50th anniversary still rocking.
AP put more energy into the crowd than the rest of the band combined. He and the drummer were 98% of the show.

If the band needs to continue jamming there is no reason for Arnel to continue doing to high notes. He can rest his voice and not add the additional strain to it. 👍

@2v_5r energy man. Part of a musical experience is watching an artist loving what they are doing. If they are barely holding it together I'm not interested. I understand sucking it up sometimes for the sake of the crowd but this is different that showing a united front despite whatever circumstances. They are completely phoning it in, they aren't friends anymore and the music has suffered for years. They are all rich enough to leave this behind. Why bother?

Arnel doesn't deserve that. He's not a mean, vindictive person. He works hard night after night singing, and it sounds like his vocal chords need a rest, from overworking them for long stretches.

Being from Oklahoma, where Neil was born, I'm sidin with him in this feud. He was the one that started this band with Gregg Rolie. Jonathan has no say in this matter. He was not an original member.

Poor Arnel started losing his voice and struggling for this world tour concert, his vocals needed rest to continue the rest of the concert.
Their concert tour are almost twice or once a week and ur singing the whole night entertaining people is not a joke it s real hard to preserve a voice.
All of Journey's songs are vocally demanding and AP is hardly and noticeably doing his best to entertain the people until the concert ends.

Agreed! That has been Neal's plan since the break up with Steve. Arnel has done a good Karaoke job over the years but unfortunately no new hit songs, no new set list only two original members in this Journey cover band, so why would Perry want to come back?

Schon doesn't like Trump probably because Trump has something on him and that's why Arnel says he's not a slave to anyone, so don't treat him like it. He said on Twitter, they can fire him if they want, meaning he's done with the petty BS Schon has spewed all for the fans to hear, and he's done being controlled by the one and only. I think that's why Perry left is because Schon is not a very nice person. Schon said on an interview in front of Perry that sometimes he hates Perry. Schon needs to grow up and he's in his 70's. Well, he made his money off riding Perry's tuxedo tails and work, etc. Like a lot of cover bands. At this point, this band isn't about music, it's about milking a cow decades old. But Perry is like gold and doesn't tarnish. Something Schon and Cain fail to consider.
