Thanks so much. Potholders and hot pads (trivets) should be cotton because acrylic yarn can melt with super hot things resting on them. But coffee cups don’t get that hot so acrylic works ok for them 😊 I’m glad you like this pattern.
Here is the pattern. It’s free on my blog. Sometimes when videoing there’s a slip up or slip of the tongue. Sorry. Chain 21 Row 1: DC into the 3rd ch from the hook, make another DC into the same ch. skip two chains and in the next ch make a SC, DC, DC, *Skip two chains and make “SC, DC, DC” into the next ch.* Repeat from *to * across to the end and do 1 sc into the last ch, turn work. Row 2: Ch 1, (this counts as your first SC), make 2 DC into the top of the SC you just made in the row below. Skip over the next 2DC, “SC, 2 DC” into the SC st from the row below. You’ll always be looking for the SC to do your “SC, 2 DC” into. Repeat the pattern across ending the last stitch with one single crochet. (When you get to the end, you have two stitches left, just skip one and SC into the last stitch). Row 3-16: Repeat Row 2.
