Hitchhiking on the "they don't even have to do work, it was all done for them". Trainspite (EU Supertester) noticed that the camouflage for HMS London (T6 premium cruiser) was all wrong both in terms of colours used and patterns, and the source of it was known: Mal Wright's book, which is "quantity over quality". So I opened up the camouflage file, and hand-drew it to perfectly match the scheme of September 1943, and sent the files to Wargaming via SubOctavian (who was aware of the issue, and said he was open to corrections). The only thing they had to do was to see I didn't put in any expletetives, and just copy the file. I didn't ask for money, I didn't ask for credit, I didn't ask for anything, I did it because I wanted the ship to look as it should. They just shelved it. Never heard from it again.

Game developers are all about minimal effort & maximum profit. Case is point a certain mobile game I'll not bother naming with an animated graphic on their main screen that moves around in a floating white box. Hmm, should we spare 2 minutes to correct the alpha channel on this tiny image, or model an entirely new premium content character to release every 2 weeks? Of course not. That same image has been floating in that box practically since the game came out.
Re: the gambling and f2p monetization mechanics in general, I reinstalled WoT and WoWS a couple weeks back, just to have a look, after a long absence. *HOLY SHIT* even without being aware of all the recent drama and scummy bullshit I didn't even give either game a full three days. The sheer amount of constant, attention-grabbing, intrusive popups to remind you of all the ways to gamble and spend money is INSANE. That alone made me quit both games for good, I'm never touching that shit again. Thankfully, WoT at least gave me the opportunity when uninstalling to tell them that I sincerely hope to see their company go under. Nobody's going to read it, of course, but it felt good anyway.
RAID made 303 million in 2020. The entire industry looked at their blatant appeal to whales only, who apparently are willing to spend 10-20K or more on the game and said "I want some of that!". So the entire industry is shifting towards PTW, loot boxes, and $50 booster packs/premium items aimed at whales and rich kids as quickly as they can get the items coded and added in the next patch.
I do play wot(rarely) but I still really want to see WG go down since that would bring me way more enjoyment than playing the game. I never paid money to the game but I'd actually pay money to see that happen.

@@luketfer I think the difference between Flamu and LWM is that Flamu had an openly toxic attitude for them for a very long time, was extremely critical of the company, and he and his viewerbase thrived on that toxic relationship. His opinions were just that: opinions that not everyone else shared, and he had more than a few dubious hot takes. The sentiment among a lot of other CCs was basically that it was only a matter of time before he got the boot, and it wasn't a surprise. With LWM, it was completely out of left field, and they really showed how little they respected even the most well regarded CCs. Her reviews were often critical, but never hostile, and they were always backed up by evidence. For her to get utterly shit on by Wargaming showed a lot of people just how little they cared.
Why is anyone surprised? People kept pouring hundreds/thousands of dollars into not one but two games despite them getting worse and worse. I don't have to imagine any kind of corporate stupidity when the playerbase demonstrated an even greater fundamental failure of their faculties for over a decade. As the meme goes: "You get what you fucking deserve."

Their golden era was before 2015. 2015 is when stuff like premium ammo for credits started in WoT and overpowered premium tanks like the scorpion G were introduced. After they started a single big product then everything went downhill

I really enjoyed WoT and WoWS when I first discovered them- WoT about 8 years ago. I played both until I got bored and tired of spending money on them. They are fun games, but Jingles is spot-on about the 'gambling' feel. It's just not healthy to get stuck into playing this stuff to this degree.
I suspect that the reason why Jingles was only able to record his own voice is because when he recorded the session, he only recorded his microphone and forgot to tell the recorder to record system sound aswell.
Yeah I almost did the same thing myself - ended up with 3 audio channels on my recording software (mic, game/speakers, discord/headphones), doing it this way also allows me to adjust each audio input separately.
Most likely he was on speakers when he started the software and it picked that up as default sound. He then switched to headphones but software was still looking for input from speakers. Easy mistake and we've all done it 😂
Hard to believe WeeGee inadvertedly struck gold with a CC like LWM, who was doing work an actual salaried person should have done, and shat all over her with no second thought. Sadly Jingles is right, this wont change a thing in the game, hope the leaving CCs don't get too economically impacted by doing so.
I'd already dipped out before then to play Legends instead, but the idea of the PR was enough to lure me back... Until the grind was revealed. I uninstalled and haven't been back.

I stopped playing after the Puerto Rico and carrier rebreak. I could see the lack of communication back then. The CC program before then was influential and a great resource they had. Little White Mouse was the best member of the CC program. She did more for WG than many of their employees. I enjoyed my time playing the game, but I don’t think I will ever log back in. Warship opened up WWII ships to me, but WG is no longer doing WWII ships. When a game developer stops listening to its players, that is when the game starts to go to crap. I will stay subscribed to the CC community, but WG won’t be something I will play anymore.
Agreed. The Puerto Rico dumpster fire was the writing on the bulkhead to me, but I stuck around until WG screwed over LWM. I quit playing & uninstalled the game right after that.
@RaZoR3379 Oh yes! I also parked my ships and walked out the door when the Puerto Rico really blew up and realized that the goal was unobtainable. They had threw me for a fit with the Exeter, a ship I thought was obtainable and doable and got me excited back then. Not that I wanted it, but getting that one premium ship, terrible or not that you worked for would have felt great. Sadly Wargaming sunk that ship for me, and then blew the hull in two with the Puerto Rico. That was the straw that broke the camel's back and I walked away... I did muck their carrier statistics by basically suiciding the carrier (You sink yourself with your own planes.)
I remember Jingles saying once that the WoWs developers seem to be interested in creating a community, taking feedback and working on it, and all that. I believe he said that because the WoWs team was small the devs were themselves the PR guys and were in direct contact with the community. The feedback from players and CCs weren't being filtered and altered as in WoT. I really loved what Jingles said back then, I don't remember exactly what he said or in which video, it was probably in an MWJ episode. I don't play WoWs but I can clearly see the change clearly by what the CCs and TH-camrs are saying and doing. If I, a non-player who doesn't even watch WoWs videos can notice the issue, the WG *really really* fucked up. WoT Christmas boxes are similar to gambling but at least there is a guaranteed reward for opening one box, but Dayum WoWs, you guys really screwed the pooch and have been doing so for a really long time, big time. Thankfully I never started playing the game. Jingles I support your decision. If CC can't make changes for the better due to the misguided decisions by WG top brass, it's better to wash your hands and fuck off. Edit: Added paragraphs to make it easier to read.
I agree completely, except for your assessment of Christmas lootbox gambling. Even in the Christmas lootboxes there was always a vehicle that people desperately wanted and would buy huge numbers of boxes to get. (IS-3A anyone?) Sure you were guaranteed a tier 5 decoration that would help you work your way to the rewards and discounts, but that wasn't ever supposed to be the main draw. Lootboxes are designed so there is one or several high-desirability low-chance rewards that will encourage people to keep gambling and spending money. The guaranteed rewards are there only to 1) make people feel like they're getting something for their money and 2) allow them to deny that lootboxes are gambling.

I keep hearing the statement that when you buy a ship from the premium shop, even though expensive, at least you know what you are getting. Except, (I can't remember when they added it but it wasn't THAT long ago) now they have the sentence "If deemed necessary, balance changes may be applied to " to the details in all ships in the premium shop, so the "at least you know what you are getting", isn't entirely true.
No, no they weren't. Outside of LWM, most CCs were in it to make money off of trashing WG. I've stopped watching most once it became clear that most of then would complain if WG gave away a million dubs, steel, and coal to everyone.

They'll still be making content about it, and giving Wargaming free publicity. They may be trying to make a statement by technically not being part of the CC program anymore, but it's basically an empty gesture for half of them because they have no other content to shift to.

Well the problem is that you are in a clan....the majority of casual players arent and doesnt care, they just want to drive a ship and shoot big guns for an hour or two once in a while.

Technically NDA's shouldn't apply to voice conversations on discord etc or on a public area however the way Wargaming defines it etc no content creator or person would risk that fight it's too long and too expensive and I fully respect that

I was part of the closed Alpha as one of the first people to try this game out, test its features and I really, really enjoyed it and belived in it. The communication with devs was awsome back then and what we said really mattered and influenced the game. It is really sad to see what an absolute shitshow it has ended up now, given how good relations was back then.
People assume that Wargaming accidently destroyed the CC program but in reality this was a premeditated murder. They wanted the program gone and forced this situation intentionally.
This is true, as he said, of all companies. Once you have a stable environment, CCs are yet another meeting you have to fit into your weekly schedule. And most things that come out of it the CEO is going to fight you on anyways.
I would argue; more accurately, the CCs brought it upon themselves; and WG would be more than happy to keep the handful of loyalist whales who bashed the players relentlessly, around to help suggest patch changes for them still.
@@MrAlex_Raven The issue it that CCs need to be handled appropriately and if you want to let the CC program die off, you do it slowly and on good terms. Or not, have them all bail, and start working of eroding your museum and military connections as well as changing your rating.

Concerning the gambling wall: Maybe someone can get lucky in the first crates. But considering WGs behavior lately, are we really sure that it isn't rigged so that you have to at least have to buy a couple of lootboxes before Missouri gets tossed into the slot machine?

As this is game code, and protected under privacy law, there is never a way to be 100 percent clear. Unless we get a whistleblower. Im already 90 percent sure WG uses slight ingame tweaks to players to influences their performance. Ofcourse this cannot be proven, only if u have the actual code.
That bit about the Yukon might explain why I appear to be the only person i've seen using it. Needless to say with Wargaming's current actions my card is much more likely to stay in my wallet now and I will not be spending a cent on Loot Boxes. I respect your decision on this Jingles. and that of other CC's.

I played this game from 2015 ( CBT) till 2019. Then the various debacles, mostly the CV rework (I was a serious RTS CV player) made me -not completely- but mostly stop playing, with intermittent reinstalls, but never really felt like returning in full capacity. Just few weeks I was talking on discord with clanmates (all but 3 are inactive toom but most of us still keep touch) that I kinda feel like playing some boats' again. Well this shitstorm made me re-assure to *never* reinstall wows again. While I'm sure the game itself can be still fun, for me there is just too much baggage and second thoughts to ever enjoy playing again. Maybe, just maybe if a serious reform comes I might consider it, but I doubt that will ever pass.
I was a RTS-CV main (go ahead and look up my stats ;p). CVs weren't a problem. Having 2 types of playstyle in the game wasn't an inhereant negative. However, the T10s and the Premiums WERE broken. They could easily sway a game if the other carrier didn't interfere with them. T10s and Premiums, of course, go by another name: Ships People Pay For. Which is the only ships WG cares about. So all carriers needed to be "fixed".
I stopped playing with the carrier rework. I had bought the Kii with the expensive camo. Wargaming has been added to the companies that I don't buy from any more. The list is getting longer and longer, but there are many other game companies that are worth spending money on.

I'm not one of these people that is going to go on about how I don't play anymore or will stop playing the game. Nor am I one of these who will rant about not spending money in the future because I haven't spent a ton of money in the past to be honest (though I have spent a little bit). But I do understand why you and the other CCs chose to quit and I don't blame you for walking away from being a CC. All video games have a life cycle and I do wonder just how much longer this one will last. The unfortunate fact is that unlike my copy of Panzer General 2 that I played for close to two decades after it came out, when the life cycle of this one ends the servers will be turned off and there will be nothing left to me return to. I look forward to seeing more commentary from you and the other CCs that have left the program. I hope that if there are any small CCs that you are aware of that we can support you will be able to share that information with us in the future.

You are the person, that I can actually say, were the sole reason I got into World of Warships. But I support you fully in your exodus from the CC program. When I was looking for a game to play, that involved ships, I was looking around TH-cam. I stumbled across one of your videos on the Montana and another on Scharnhorst. I saw the game play footage you were commenting on and was immediately hooked. Loaded the game and began grinding my way up the US line to get Montana. I eventually got into a Warships Clan where I met some amazing people. I have had some amazingly fun experiences playing this game. These experiences are all thanks to you, sir. So thank you. I will continue to watch your videos, no matter what game you're playing and commenting on. I do have to say I am a bit disappointed that you haven't done any of the Workshop Wednesdays any more. I thoroughly enjoyed watching your video on the KV-2 build you did. Anyway, Thanks again for all you have done and look forward to your next videos.
I have been, for a while, realizing that every new change made the game less and less fun unless you spend plenty of money. It is pretty much Pay-to-win at this point, except for the very top players. Someone looking to de-stress are now playing a game that does the opposite. Uninstalled the game yesterday, saw your FB post, actually happy with both decisions.
That's why I only play CO-OP (to de-stress) - but that's been screwed as well now - I had already decided to never give WG any money due to the way they operate (both WG and their very very Dodgy parent company)

Hey Jingles, the Challenger 3 does have an independant commanders optic with thermal sight. Looking at it seems to be atleast equal to the (also new) gunners sight. Hell even the driver got its own thermal cameras

PEGI18 is too high a rating. PEGI12 or PEGI16 is the highest it should go. 12 is the minimum for gambling, but 16 is 'realistic violence'. 18 is for 'glamorized drug use, violence towards innocents, etc.'

I remember recently, that whole trip you had planned for a ship/feature unveiling where you had to purchase a ticket to travel to a ship elsewhere then were told that you couldn't record any of it and you couldn't post anything about it...they just wanted to lean on your notoriety but also censor your contribution (opinion) preemptively...as if to say, "We just want your face, not anything that comes out of it". I had no choice but to stop playing...they stopped supporting Mac. I guess it was nearly perfect timing.
I saw some of your old recordings on a sub-game called Cold Waters. I really like it, so I may buy that if I want some sub action. WG certainly know how to screw things up royally, it reminds me of the Marie Antonette quote "Let them Eat Cake" #Stand with LWM.
I don't know if I'm the only one, but I felt the Halloween sub event was fun and probably the way to implement them. In fact they felt balanced in that way. Either make an operation for them, or bring the old Halloween operation back, or look at the subs from the event and use those stats and the feedback to build them the way people will enjoy the most.
I've been watching you for close to 11 years. I've seen all of the ups and downs. I agree with you 100% on this, it is appalling that wargaming are acting as a casino. I'm not going to stop watching you over exposing this. This is going to give me enough motivation to quit watching and getting played by wargaming. I was thinking about redownloading wows, and wot a few days ago, and you just saved my harddrive from about 25gigs of shit. I'm looking forward to any new games and content you release. I don't blame WG. While WG definitely has major issues, the CCs have collectively mostly just become toxic assholes making money off of complaining about wargaming. The constant complaining about the PR event and CVs are a prime example. CVs are not the issue they claim they are and while the PR event was a shit show they actually fixed the issues in the future events. If you don't allow a person or group a win, well don't be surprised when they tell you to fuck off
This is basically what happened with WoT Console and Update 6.0 when most of the game's CCs quit and Console content creators ended up leaving the game (and some still are as we speak).
I've started having Jingles moments on my videos. I do record 99% of them in one pass and occasionally I get the name of the player mixed up with the last player I recorded 15 minutes before. A prime example of a Jingles moment was when I said that the winning team were going to 'no kill cap all' when there was only one enemy player left! Of course I meant the reverse, but it just splurted out of me. Never change Jingles - it's what gives you your charm.
I did an interview with Hapa Fodder when he was at WG early on. Best interview I ever did… you’ll never hear it because none of his audio got recorded… Jingles moments, they’re not just for Jingles anymore :-)

I've been watching your videos Jingles since I was 19 (I think) im 27 now and I've always admired how you discuss things like this. You don't point fingers or yell bloody murder. I'm glad you've done whats best for you and I hope you use your free time for more cooking videos and maybe a cheeky video or two of YOU playing some ships... When the game was fun, I spent a lot of money on the game as I justified it as my form of entertainment. But, now that the game isn't as much fun, I haven't spent any real money on this game in two years and play a lot less.
Up until the carrier re-work I was spending $100+ a month on WoW. Haven't started the game since the carrier re-work. I have really enjoyed watching game replays/commentaries since then and I'd love to play the game but I will NEVER support a game run by such incompetence.

I've been thinking of bailing for a while, and recently resolved to do so once my current premium subscription ran out. (I had jumped ship previously after the Puerto Rico incident, but came back due to wanting a semi-casual game to play.) But this just crystalized for me all the negative aspects which have made the game un-fun recently. I finished listening to this and then wiped WoWS, the Wargaming Center, and all the data from my PC. Pretty sure I won't be the only one. Not that I expect it will make much difference but I'm sure I'll be happier. No Man's Sky, here I come.

Remember when WG did all these huge sponsored streams on Twitch for when 1.0 released for WoT? I'm pretty sure they'll soon reserve to something similar as well for WoWs or that they basically have already with their affiliate program as it would make big streamers who haven't yet featured WoWs a lot of money with the thousands of new players they potentially bring in.
Nah they tried that with the original Battle of the Atlantic , King of the seas and OMC cup. Wargaming fucked up every time and was down to the clans etc at the time that anything was successful
There are a total of six movies coming out for Girls und Panzer Das Finale. The most recent one is Das Finale 3, and three more are in-production. The director stated on Twitter that he's finishing up the dialogue script for Das Finale 4. So it's expected Das Finale 4 will be out sometime in 2022 or 2023 (there have been delays due to COVID making it difficult for animation studios to work together in massive projects like this). I saw Das Finale 3 in Japan, four times already. It was amazing. I look forward to getting the Blu-rays sometime later this year or next year (not yet determined).
One really feels how hard it was for you to make this experience and how dissappointed you are that it has come this far. I hope that you are equally elated that it is finally over. I think you did the right thing, and this is why I am here still, and intend to stay.
I watched a Trenlass video last night and he was in a sub, he fired on two ships with his homing torpedoes that didn't exist and got 2 kills. That was it the rest of the match from what I gathered (I don't think I watched the end) they ran around the map looking for a sub they couldn't find. Very exiting stuff let me tell you..
Thanks, Jingles. One of your vids introduced us to the game and we've had a lot of fun without spending much money. Three of us combined spent exactly two dollars over several years, which is clearly two dollars more than WG deserved.
i always though CVS need their old fighters back, deployable 1 min fighter wards that can be ignored or avoided so easy means CVS can attack freely. fighters you can command to intercept way out from the ships would help a lot
The closer the current CV gameplay gets to the OLD CV gameplay the better honestly. Like fighters have several problems, 1. as you said they are easy to ignore or avoid, 2. they are limited meanwhile the attack craft are not, 3. fighters only kill as many planes as their are attackers or time on the clock (cus apparently all that matters is the timer for the planes, not that they are in the middle of attacking the very thing they are supposed to). not to mention they are just a spotting device unless your cheely with the fighters, or spec into fighters but even then, since they only kill SOME of the attack craft and not all of them (unless your the Enterprise, 12 fighters rekts all squads) all it does is remove the MEATSHIELDS that are the Squadren planes (not to be confused with the attack flight).
@@jaywerner8415 exactly , so give CVs an extra squadron type, independent of the attack flight and have it act like the old rts mode fighters, then a CV can actually defend their allies instead of having to run a squadron over and drop a squadron just in time for the enemy flight to... drop their weapons and fuck off, yey. down a limited resource that will then be ignored or your allies will naturally move out of their very limited bubble.
@@TheLordofFury I can hear WG now "that would be too complicated for our playerbase" that was at least one excuse they had for the CV rework, and while i can see what they meant at the time since RTS isnt for everyone, most people can at least get the basics down. Seriously now the carrier itself my as well be a airstrip for how little you interact with it. And the only reason carriers cant really get nuked by the other carrier is the CAP fighter patrol THATS IT! Thats the OTHER problem with these stupid static circles, people arn't going to sit under them for protection so you kinda have to predict where your own teammates are gonna be for them to work. But then the enemy cv just be like "ok i go bomb something else" or flys around them. Sadly these days fighters are just spotter squadrons and a "deterrent" so the carrier goes and attacks something else. at least you can spawn 3 at a time if you cycle though your squadrons. And the "support" (specing into fighters) line for carriers, it helps but it doesn't solve the main problem. Like you get 10% radius, One extra fighter, You can get another 10% but loss any spotting ability the fighters have for the interceptors which cant be killed by enemy fighters but also won't fight them, Then you can make your planes faster at attacking and stay longer but they arrive slower. The main problem is fighters just arnt scary, CVS HAVE UNLIMITED ATTACK CRAFT and 9 (12 with the plus 1) FIGHTERS, those fighters should shoot down EVERYTHING they see not just "i got 1 kill now im out of ammo" and if the clock runs out in the middle of their attack, they keep going, getting caught by fighters should be a bad thing but LIKE CVs themselves they are just annoying.

Hitchhiking on the "they don't even have to do work, it was all done for them". Trainspite (EU Supertester) noticed that the camouflage for HMS London (T6 premium cruiser) was all wrong both in terms of colours used and patterns, and the source of it was known: Mal Wright's book, which is "quantity over quality". So I opened up the camouflage file, and hand-drew it to perfectly match the scheme of September 1943, and sent the files to Wargaming via SubOctavian (who was aware of the issue, and said he was open to corrections). The only thing they had to do was to see I didn't put in any expletetives, and just copy the file. I didn't ask for money, I didn't ask for credit, I didn't ask for anything, I did it because I wanted the ship to look as it should.
They just shelved it. Never heard from it again.

Case is point a certain mobile game I'll not bother naming with an animated graphic on their main screen that moves around in a floating white box. Hmm, should we spare 2 minutes to correct the alpha channel on this tiny image, or model an entirely new premium content character to release every 2 weeks? Of course not. That same image has been floating in that box practically since the game came out.

Re: the gambling and f2p monetization mechanics in general, I reinstalled WoT and WoWS a couple weeks back, just to have a look, after a long absence.
*HOLY SHIT* even without being aware of all the recent drama and scummy bullshit I didn't even give either game a full three days.
The sheer amount of constant, attention-grabbing, intrusive popups to remind you of all the ways to gamble and spend money is INSANE. That alone made me quit both games for good, I'm never touching that shit again.
Thankfully, WoT at least gave me the opportunity when uninstalling to tell them that I sincerely hope to see their company go under. Nobody's going to read it, of course, but it felt good anyway.
RAID made 303 million in 2020. The entire industry looked at their blatant appeal to whales only, who apparently are willing to spend 10-20K or more on the game and said "I want some of that!". So the entire industry is shifting towards PTW, loot boxes, and $50 booster packs/premium items aimed at whales and rich kids as quickly as they can get the items coded and added in the next patch.

@@luketfer I think the difference between Flamu and LWM is that Flamu had an openly toxic attitude for them for a very long time, was extremely critical of the company, and he and his viewerbase thrived on that toxic relationship. His opinions were just that: opinions that not everyone else shared, and he had more than a few dubious hot takes. The sentiment among a lot of other CCs was basically that it was only a matter of time before he got the boot, and it wasn't a surprise. With LWM, it was completely out of left field, and they really showed how little they respected even the most well regarded CCs. Her reviews were often critical, but never hostile, and they were always backed up by evidence. For her to get utterly shit on by Wargaming showed a lot of people just how little they cared.
Why is anyone surprised? People kept pouring hundreds/thousands of dollars into not one but two games despite them getting worse and worse. I don't have to imagine any kind of corporate stupidity when the playerbase demonstrated an even greater fundamental failure of their faculties for over a decade.

I really enjoyed WoT and WoWS when I first discovered them- WoT about 8 years ago. I played both until I got bored and tired of spending money on them. They are fun games, but Jingles is spot-on about the 'gambling' feel. It's just not healthy to get stuck into playing this stuff to this degree.
I suspect that the reason why Jingles was only able to record his own voice is because when he recorded the session, he only recorded his microphone and forgot to tell the recorder to record system sound aswell.

Yeah I almost did the same thing myself - ended up with 3 audio channels on my recording software (mic, game/speakers, discord/headphones), doing it this way also allows me to adjust each audio input separately.
Most likely he was on speakers when he started the software and it picked that up as default sound. He then switched to headphones but software was still looking for input from speakers. Easy mistake and we've all done it 😂
Hard to believe WeeGee inadvertedly struck gold with a CC like LWM, who was doing work an actual salaried person should have done, and shat all over her with no second thought. Sadly Jingles is right, this wont change a thing in the game, hope the leaving CCs don't get too economically impacted by doing so.
The Puerto Rico debacle was when I went from enjoying this game and playing for hours on end to log in play 2-3 rounds and log out.

I stopped playing after the Puerto Rico and carrier rebreak. I could see the lack of communication back then. The CC program before then was influential and a great resource they had. Little White Mouse was the best member of the CC program. She did more for WG than many of their employees. I enjoyed my time playing the game, but I don’t think I will ever log back in. Warship opened up WWII ships to me, but WG is no longer doing WWII ships. When a game developer stops listening to its players, that is when the game starts to go to crap. I will stay subscribed to the CC community, but WG won’t be something I will play anymore.
Agreed. The Puerto Rico dumpster fire was the writing on the bulkhead to me, but I stuck around until WG screwed over LWM. I quit playing & uninstalled the game right after that.

They had threw me for a fit with the Exeter, a ship I thought was obtainable and doable and got me excited back then.

Sadly Wargaming sunk that ship for me, and then blew the hull in two with the Puerto Rico.

They, gave a free reset for the Commanders three years ago, I reset everything. Played one boring game in the Musashi and deleted it.
I remember Jingles saying once that the WoWs developers seem to be interested in creating a community, taking feedback and working on it, and all that. I believe he said that because the WoWs team was small the devs were themselves the PR guys and were in direct contact with the community. The feedback from players and CCs weren't being filtered and altered as in WoT. I really loved what Jingles said back then, I don't remember exactly what he said or in which video, it was probably in an MWJ episode.
I don't play WoWs but I can clearly see the change clearly by what the CCs and TH-camrs are saying and doing. If I, a non-player who doesn't even watch WoWs videos can notice the issue, the WG *really really* fucked up. WoT Christmas boxes are similar to gambling but at least there is a guaranteed reward for opening one box, but Dayum WoWs, you guys really screwed the pooch and have been doing so for a really long time, big time.
Thankfully I never started playing the game. Jingles I support your decision. If CC can't make changes for the better due to the misguided decisions by WG top brass, it's better to wash your hands and fuck off.

I agree completely, except for your assessment of Christmas lootbox gambling. Even in the Christmas lootboxes there was always a vehicle that people desperately wanted and would buy huge numbers of boxes to get. (IS-3A anyone?) Sure you were guaranteed a tier 5 decoration that would help you work your way to the rewards and discounts, but that wasn't ever supposed to be the main draw. Lootboxes are designed so there is one or several high-desirability low-chance rewards that will encourage people to keep gambling and spending money. The guaranteed rewards are there only to 1) make people feel like they're getting something for their money and 2) allow them to deny that lootboxes are gambling.
As long as Community contributors have to sign an NDA, they are filtered. And so is the communication.Has been like that since forever.
I remember when we were making comparisons between wows devs and wot devs and being thankful for wows devs being how they are.

I keep hearing the statement that when you buy a ship from the premium shop, even though expensive, at least you know what you are getting. Except, (I can't remember when they added it but it wasn't THAT long ago) now they have the sentence "If deemed necessary, balance changes may be applied to " to the details in all ships in the premium shop, so the "at least you know what you are getting", isn't entirely true.
Community Contributors were, in a sense, Wargaming's conscience. It appears WG no longer needs or wants it.

No, no they weren't. Outside of LWM, most CCs were in it to make money off of trashing WG. I've stopped watching most once it became clear that most of then would complain if WG gave away a million dubs, steel, and coal to everyone.

They may be trying to make a statement by technically not being part of the CC program anymore, but it's basically an empty gesture for half of them because they have no other content to shift to.

It's crazy to hear Jingles talk about who he does and doesn't represent. I don't think I've met a single Wows player that hasn't heard of him. Certainly everyone in my clan watches him to a degree.
Well the problem is that you are in a clan....the majority of casual players arent and doesnt care, they just want to drive a ship and shoot big guns for an hour or two once in a while.

I sold mine more than a year ago and was able to recoup more than the money I had spent on the game. Granted I didnt get the 5 years worth of time I had spent bt I'm happy with what I got... :)
I was part of the closed Alpha as one of the first people to try this game out, test its features and I really, really enjoyed it and belived in it. The communication with devs was awsome back then and what we said really mattered and influenced the game.
It is really sad to see what an absolute shitshow it has ended up now, given how good relations was back then.
People assume that Wargaming accidently destroyed the CC program but in reality this was a premeditated murder. They wanted the program gone and forced this situation intentionally.
This is true, as he said, of all companies. Once you have a stable environment, CCs are yet another meeting you have to fit into your weekly schedule. And most things that come out of it the CEO is going to fight you on anyways.

As this is game code, and protected under privacy law, there is never a way to be 100 percent clear. Unless we get a whistleblower.
Im already 90 percent sure WG uses slight ingame tweaks to players to influences their performance. Ofcourse this cannot be proven, only if u have the actual code.

I played this game from 2015 ( CBT) till 2019. Then the various debacles, mostly the CV rework (I was a serious RTS CV player) made me -not completely- but mostly stop playing, with intermittent reinstalls, but never really felt like returning in full capacity.
Just few weeks I was talking on discord with clanmates (all but 3 are inactive toom but most of us still keep touch) that I kinda feel like playing some boats' again.
Well this shitstorm made me re-assure to *never* reinstall wows again. While I'm sure the game itself can be still fun, for me there is just too much baggage and second thoughts to ever enjoy playing again. Maybe, just maybe if a serious reform comes I might consider it, but I doubt that will ever pass.
I was a RTS-CV main (go ahead and look up my stats ;p). CVs weren't a problem. Having 2 types of playstyle in the game wasn't an inhereant negative.
However, the T10s and the Premiums WERE broken. They could easily sway a game if the other carrier didn't interfere with them.
T10s and Premiums, of course, go by another name: Ships People Pay For. Which is the only ships WG cares about. So all carriers needed to be "fixed".
I stopped playing with the carrier rework.
I had bought the Kii with the expensive camo.
Wargaming has been added to the companies that I don't buy from any more. The list is getting longer and longer, but there are many other game companies that are worth spending money on.

I'm not one of these people that is going to go on about how I don't play anymore or will stop playing the game. Nor am I one of these who will rant about not spending money in the future because I haven't spent a ton of money in the past to be honest (though I have spent a little bit). But I do understand why you and the other CCs chose to quit and I don't blame you for walking away from being a CC. All video games have a life cycle and I do wonder just how much longer this one will last. The unfortunate fact is that unlike my copy of Panzer General 2 that I played for close to two decades after it came out, when the life cycle of this one ends the servers will be turned off and there will be nothing left to me return to. I look forward to seeing more commentary from you and the other CCs that have left the program. I hope that if there are any small CCs that you are aware of that we can support you will be able to share that information with us in the future.

I was really expecting this video. I am so angry with WG that I refuse to play their games anymore. Until they start respecting the community or fix their issues. If not, I will uninstall and say goodbye to games that I’ve spent 5-7 years playing.
I played WoWs for about 5 years myself. The Puerto Rico dumpster fire was the writing on the bulkhead for me. When WG screwed over LWM, I quit playing and uninstalled their software.

When I was looking for a game to play, that involved ships, I was looking around TH-cam. I stumbled across one of your videos on the Montana and another on Scharnhorst. I saw the game play footage you were commenting on and was immediately hooked. Loaded the game and began grinding my way up the US line to get Montana. I eventually got into a Warships Clan where I met some amazing people. I have had some amazingly fun experiences playing this game. These experiences are all thanks to you, sir. So thank you. I will continue to watch your videos, no matter what game you're playing and commenting on. I do have to say I am a bit disappointed that you haven't done any of the Workshop Wednesdays any more. I have been, for a while, realizing that every new change made the game less and less fun unless you spend plenty of money. It is pretty much Pay-to-win at this point, except for the very top players. Someone looking to de-stress are now playing a game that does the opposite.

Hey Jingles, the Challenger 3 does have an independant commanders optic with thermal sight. Looking at it seems to be atleast equal to the (also new) gunners sight. Hell even the driver got its own thermal cameras

PEGI18 is too high a rating. PEGI12 or PEGI16 is the highest it should go. 12 is the minimum for gambling, but 16 is 'realistic violence'. 18 is for 'glamorized drug use, violence towards innocents, etc.'

I saw some of your old recordings on a sub-game called Cold Waters. I really like it, so I may buy that if I want some sub action. WG certainly know how to screw things up royally, it reminds me of the Marie Antonette quote "Let them Eat Cake" #Stand with LWM.
I don't know if I'm the only one, but I felt the Halloween sub event was fun and probably the way to implement them. In fact they felt balanced in that way. Either make an operation for them, or bring the old Halloween operation back, or look at the subs from the event and use those stats and the feedback to build them the way people will enjoy the most.
Current Submarines are playable and feel very similar to the Halloween Submarines, with different skins.

I don't blame WG. While WG definitely has major issues, the CCs have collectively mostly just become toxic assholes making money off of complaining about wargaming. The constant complaining about the PR event and CVs are a prime example. CVs are not the issue they claim they are and while the PR event was a shit show they actually fixed the issues in the future events. If you don't allow a person or group a win, well don't be surprised when they tell you to fuck off

This is basically what happened with WoT Console and Update 6.0 when most of the game's CCs quit and Console content creators ended up leaving the game (and some still are as we speak).

I've started having Jingles moments on my videos. I do record 99% of them in one pass and occasionally I get the name of the player mixed up with the last player I recorded 15 minutes before. A prime example of a Jingles moment was when I said that the winning team were going to 'no kill cap all' when there was only one enemy player left! Of course I meant the reverse, but it just splurted out of me.

When the game was fun, I spent a lot of money on the game as I justified it as my form of entertainment.
But, now that the game isn't as much fun, I haven't spent any real money on this game in two years and play a lot less.

I've been thinking of bailing for a while, and recently resolved to do so once my current premium subscription ran out. (I had jumped ship previously after the Puerto Rico incident, but came back due to wanting a semi-casual game to play.) But this just crystalized for me all the negative aspects which have made the game un-fun recently. I finished listening to this and then wiped WoWS, the Wargaming Center, and all the data from my PC. Pretty sure I won't be the only one. Not that I expect it will make much difference but I'm sure I'll be happier.

Nah they tried that with the original Battle of the Atlantic , King of the seas and OMC cup. Wargaming fucked up every time and was down to the clans etc at the time that anything was successful
There are a total of six movies coming out for Girls und Panzer Das Finale. The most recent one is Das Finale 3, and three more are in-production. The director stated on Twitter that he's finishing up the dialogue script for Das Finale 4. So it's expected Das Finale 4 will be out sometime in 2022 or 2023 (there have been delays due to COVID making it difficult for animation studios to work together in massive projects like this).
I saw Das Finale 3 in Japan, four times already. It was amazing. I look forward to getting the Blu-rays sometime later this year or next year (not yet determined).
One really feels how hard it was for you to make this experience and how dissappointed you are that it has come this far. I hope that you are equally elated that it is finally over. I think you did the right thing, and this is why I am here still, and intend to stay.
I watched a Trenlass video last night and he was in a sub, he fired on two ships with his homing torpedoes that didn't exist and got 2 kills.
That was it the rest of the match from what I gathered (I don't think I watched the end) they ran around the map looking for a sub they couldn't find.

One of your vids introduced us to the game and we've had a lot of fun without spending much money. Three of us combined spent exactly two dollars over several years, which is clearly two dollars more than WG deserved.

i always though CVS need their old fighters back, deployable 1 min fighter wards that can be ignored or avoided so easy means CVS can attack freely. fighters you can command to intercept way out from the ships would help a lot
The closer the current CV gameplay gets to the OLD CV gameplay the better honestly.
Like fighters have several problems, 1. as you said they are easy to ignore or avoid, 2. they are limited meanwhile the attack craft are not, 3. fighters only kill as many planes as their are attackers or time on the clock (cus apparently all that matters is the timer for the planes, not that they are in the middle of attacking the very thing they are supposed to). not to mention they are just a spotting device unless your cheely with the fighters, or spec into fighters but even then, since they only kill SOME of the attack craft and not all of them (unless your the Enterprise, 12 fighters rekts all squads) all it does is remove the MEATSHIELDS that are the Squadren planes (not to be confused with the attack flight).
@@jaywerner8415 exactly , so give CVs an extra squadron type, independent of the attack flight and have it act like the old rts mode fighters, then a CV can actually defend their allies instead of having to run a squadron over and drop a squadron just in time for the enemy flight to... drop their weapons and fuck off, yey. down a limited resource that will then be ignored or your allies will naturally move out of their very limited bubble.

Seriously now the carrier itself my as well be a airstrip for how little you interact with it. And the only reason carriers cant really get nuked by the other carrier is the CAP fighter patrol THATS IT!
Thats the OTHER problem with these stupid static circles, people arn't going to sit under them for protection so you kinda have to predict where your own teammates are gonna be for them to work. But then the enemy cv just be like "ok i go bomb something else" or flys around them.
Sadly these days fighters are just spotter squadrons and a "deterrent" so the carrier goes and attacks something else. at least you can spawn 3 at a time if you cycle though your squadrons. And the "support" (specing into fighters) line for carriers, it helps but it doesn't solve the main problem.
Like you get 10% radius, One extra fighter, You can get another 10% but loss any spotting ability the fighters have for the interceptors which cant be killed by enemy fighters but also won't fight them, Then you can make your planes faster at attacking and stay longer but they arrive slower.
The main problem is fighters just arnt scary, CVS HAVE UNLIMITED ATTACK CRAFT and 9 (12 with the plus 1) FIGHTERS, those fighters should shoot down EVERYTHING they see not just "i got 1 kill now im out of ammo" and if the clock runs out in the middle of their attack, they keep going, getting caught by fighters should be a bad thing but LIKE CVs themselves they are just annoying.
