    Damn. Thought I was tuning in to see Bruce hard at work, but here he is on holiday, mining for white gold. Found a few choice nuggets, too. Living the dream. Legendary.

    When i get a call for a clogged drain from the kitchen, i know it will be grease. While i am doing the clearing , i think of you and i smile. The customers think i am batty. But i enjoy the work i do.

    I'll never cease to be amazed that people pour solid fats down the drain. I learned not to do that when I was 5. If it's solid at room temp, it goes into the trash! If you're not sure, pour it into a bowl or jar and let it cool completely in the fridge or a cool room and see if it sets up. Saturated fats don't belong in the drains!

    Get a garden kneeling pad. That will provide some relief when kneeling. And it's coated so water and solids won't hurt it. Great job despite your knees. Getting older is not fun. Had to quit working about 3 years ago because all my joints becoming frozen. Love checking out your videos. They provide a much needed focus on days when my pain levels are high. Just lying here in bed enjoying your channel.

    I have so many things I want to say: 1. First and foremost, AMAZING job as usual Bruce! 2. I can't tell you how many times I was gasping because I was worried you'd lose your phone (which I know doesn't make sense as you wouldn't be able to upload the video) but also, super great camera angles!!! 3. Maybe cut up an old plastic laundry basket or get thick chicken wire and jimmy-rig yourself a large-holed sieve that can bend/fit most drains and smaller chunks of grease/debris can pass through but not the larger fatbergs so there is no worries about them clogging the line farther up! *I saw something similar used once on another channel but I forget which one. 4. Last but not least, I hope your getting ad revenue from you tube because I watched 4 ads (one disney) during your video! 😊 maybe use that revenue to buy a little tripod for your phone when you're not using the go pro! (And I would think you could also claim it as business expense on your taxes because it is promoting your business, but double check that)

    • @QuimBeeLivingstone
      @QuimBeeLivingstone 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cleopatracatra2097 yep very similar to what they use only it would have to be a lot smaller to fit in the pipe itself because there aren't collection wells in Australia like they have in Korea

    G'day from Phoenix, Arizona, USA Bruce!! Those were some big fatberg chunks in that house drain! It always amazes me how much grease buildup there is in these drains. Is it an Australian thing to put so much grease down the drain or does this happen all over the world? My family has lived in our house for over 30 years and have never had our drains jetted for grease 😬

    Little shop vac is an easy way to pull the loose dirt away from where you're working, and you can just dump the dirt back out after you're done. It'll also do the finicky digging right near the pipe, so you don't have to worry about nicking it with the shovel. A little metal rod attached to the end of the vacuum nozzle will loosen dirt to help it go into the vac.

    Hi Bruce. Would there be any point that once you have established the fact that fat is the problem, putting something to block the pipe with the hole, then getting the hot top being turned on to fillbthe pipe andvhelp melt the grease. Just a thought. Sue, mum from Adelaide South Aus.

    Didn't realize this was your channel when I clicked the thumbnail.
    I thought fatburg was gonna be a documentary on how America has sabotaged its people and made them fat, turning our country into one big town called Fatburg.
    Then when I saw that wasn't the case, it clicked that this is an iceburg but instead of ice, it's grease from food, compounding into a fatburg.
    I'm not sure if I feel disappointed. I like your channel a lot but the premise of the documentary sounds hilarious and tragic and awful and I'd probably still laugh.
    Please make that. Lol
