Great courage guys! Let this be an example to all up and coming apologist who believe that defending the faith giving to us only applies to debate and not present social issues of our time. May God bless you both as well as your ministry.
As a HUGE fan of Walt Disney and growing up at Disneyland, I would be pleased to see Disney boycotted for taking a political position promoting homosexuality.
@Psicólogo Miguel Cisneros So more modern times. Korra ended with the main Character and another girl becoming a lesbian couple and after that you then get shows like Steven universe, OK Ko, the Voltron remake, Adventure Time, Star Vs, and others starting the have gay characters in more and more rolls. It was fine at first but then became too much for my taste.
@Psicólogo Miguel Cisneros he's a podcaster in the vein of Joe Rogan, he is also starting a media and news Web site timcast irl if you want to look for him he discusses news and culture and seeks to influence culture for the better he pushes back against crt and woke stuff in general. He is not a Christian but is a theist of sorts. He recently did a week with the daily wire crew and did a show with Ben Shapiro.
Thank you for that comment Matt Rivera. That is encouraging. Have you seen this video also?: The Truth About Gay Christians | Voddie Baucham, James White, Matthew Vines, Semler - TH-cam
I think it's sold to most Democrat voters (and appealing to them) as a question of liberty, but the ones doing the selling know better. They absolutely are targeting the more successful and healthy lifestyles, and I think that's rooted in jealousy.
This is why I'm a conservative, both theologically and politically. Institutions like the traditional family (which goes beyond the nuclear family to a community of families) are not libertarian contracts that humans just formed overnight. The traditional family is one of the oldest, if not the oldest, Godly institution that goes all the way back to the divine act of creation in Genesis. If there is at least one thing I want to protect most as a Christian other than my personal saving faith in Christ, it is the everlasting institution of the traditional family.
God bless Dr. Craig. Sin is at the core of modern western culture and it really is sickening. So many have a warped and twisted view of liberty in the modern day.
WLC seems to accept the premises that sexuality/orientation is malleable and open to influence (by Disney or whomever, doesn't matter). I think that these are more open to debate--I know social scientists who empirically defend the hypothesis that sexual orientation, in particular, is fairly hardwired (or, at least "softwired" as EP scholars say). I think these scholars assert that education merely makes one aware of their orientation--an awakening but not a re-defining, if you will. I don't have a strong position on this as I'm not steeped in the literature (yet), but it's important to understand the premises WLC is assuming or accepting here to understand his conclusion.
Our family has also cancelled our trip to Disney world this October for our extended family of 14. We would have gone to the park four of the 8 days of our vacation. They charge $109.00 per day, per person and the hotel would have cost thousands. How much did this one cancellation cost Disney? Do the math.
@@ReasonableFaithOrg It may be worth putting the date the podcast was aired/recorded in the video descriptions, since much of the time there are references to current events.
I think you naively underestimate how much evil it takes to keep away today’s moderate Christian. Like you said, if it’s not overtly hurting them, they don’t care.
Aren't us christians fighting a lost cause, thus getting weary? The ever increasing corruption of society is forseen in the bible. Shouldn't we focus on educating our little ones about the increasing dangers out there? The wild vine cannot yield good grapes. Asking the wild vane to yield good grapes won't do. Even demanding won't do. Pls. help me understand If/what I'm not getting right. Shalom!!!
I wouldn't say liberty is forefront in Leftist circles as an issue they deeply care about. Liberty is just a selective excuse to engage in perverse lifestyles. If they cared at all about liberty, then they would fully support freedom of speech, right to bear arms, freedom of religion, bodily autonomy, and freedom of assembly. On each of these rights, they've consistently expressed contempt for those who value and exercise them, and in many cases want them abolished completely. Leftist thinking has nothing to do with freedom or liberty. They want authoritarian control of everyone's lives in order to push their ideology without restraint onto everyone. This ideology consists in Critical Theory and Deconstructionism, and Intersectional Theory. These theories explicitly exclude concepts of Natural Rights and Natural Law.
You two are speaking as if you believe they are actively trying to turn children queer or trans. What motive could they have to do this? How could they benefit? Their goal is clearly about representation and inclusion. Modern Disney stories have been making an effort to represent and include all types of people for decades now. If media truly had a causal effect on orientation, surely everyone would be straight. While there is more representation of late, it is still the overwhelming norm to represent mostly heteronormative relationships. The only argument that there is a victim here, is an argument based in religious belief. To be against Disney's statement, is to believe that your faith should be forced onto others. Historically, this is not a flattering perspective to hold. You need a strong secular argument to influence policy that works for everyone, regardless of their faith, and it doesn't seem that you've shown one here. Examine your fears. Notice that the APA's science-backed position completely undercuts them. DIsney is not trying to mold childrens' orientations. Teachers are not trying to mold childrens' orientations. They are trying to accept them as they are. I'm sure you know better than I do what the Bible says about accepting others as they are...
Stupid, stupid! Supporting and adult or even a child in their feelings is not molding. You cannot mold a sexual or gender identity. This is NOT the mainstream feeling of this country. The majority of people are for letting people be who they are.
All children's gender identities are shaped by their environment. The issue is that when LGBT themes are expressed, then it's called "influencing children", but when heterosexual themes are expressed, then that's just "normal".
...Maybe because LGBTQ is mostly a lifestyle choice or psychological (bur rarely, that's why it's considered a disorder in psychology), whilst we're created male/female, dictates of our genetical makeup, and the respective psyche just inherently follows naturally by design. Unless influenced otherwise.
@@timo.5449 You have to define your terms a bit better here. I don't know what you mean by saying "LGBTQ is a lifestyle choice". Do you mean that non-heterosexual attraction is a lifestyle choice? Or choice of partner? Or how someone dresses? It's not clear. Not being straight is not considered a disorder in psychology. And if you are willing to refer to the authority of the academic psychological community, they would tear this video to shreds for its basic misunderstandings of gender and sexuality. I don't understand how your last two sentences are relevant, because one's biological sex has almost nothing to do with one's gender expression or "psyche". Look at different cultures through history and you'll see just how much of this is specific to one's society and culture.
We don't live in a Jewish theocracy. No Christian advocates for murdering homosexuals. Jesus saved the adulterous woman from her death sentence, forgave her, and admonished her to sin no more. Our goal is saving homosexuals from a life of sorrow and to have them join us in eternal glory.

this is insane, not even using the words boys and girls. The word has gone crazy.

I mean not just Disney but Cartoon Network, Nick, they all have been doing this kind of stuff for 8 years now

Individual liberty without moral restraint leads to the amplification of human depravity.
Sounds like something the late Dr. Zacharias would have said.
I own stock in Disney. If I sold my stock today, I'd be selling for a loss. Am I supposed to sell, even if that means losing money?
