i did route 3 but i first walked up along the seat part of arthurs' seat and the views from there are ridiculosuly beautiful too and then to make the gorgeous climb even more unforgettable i could hear bagpipes playing from somewhere down the city, could have been the golf course, i couldnt tell - highly highly recommend taking the super long way around, it is absolutely breathtaking ❤
Great video! We took the moderate route, but at the top we veered off to the right and had to do a tiny little bit of rock climbing, which we didn't expect. But it wasn't a problem, but rather exciting.
Done all three at various times. I had the seat to myself one day when I was doing a monthly 300000 step challenge, the weather was awful, and I was the only idiot that day (I took the holyrood palace route). I keep having fantasy’s about a zip line and the golf course though!
Hi! Love your vids, very informative! I do have a question, is the parking lot at Dunsapie Loch still accessible by car? Cause lately I've heard that the Queen's Drive has been closed.
Hi, thanks for the comment. That's a good question re the car park. I haven't been there in a few months so maybe someone else can help on the comments? If no luck in the next few days - I will make a trip up and find out in person! Glad you're enjoying the videos.
We did the hard route (after doung the other 6 edinburgh hills..big mistake) and im sure we took a wooden staircase up that side..but have never found a reference to it lol
Thanks for the video. Really enjoyed it... I also have a channel and I was wondering how did you add the subscribe button (which I clicked of course) in the bottom right corner ?
@@sportstraveltom thanks for getting back - I tried it via a tutorial on YT, but some people tell me it works and other people tell me it doesn’t odd - we’ll figure it out
I took a 40ft fall off the back of Edinburgh castle. Im the idiot in the local paper... cracked skull, femur broke in 3 places and left lung punctured.. over a week in Edinburgh royal, best nurses in the world... for Xmas morning Dom Tom replied 2 my message.. i explained 2 my bro.. its like a music lover getting a message from Noel G.... hes still jumping.. this May im heading back. If your spouse is abusive and you are thinking of leaving them please do NOT go near these hill tops places with them. A pregnant Lawyer called Fawziyah was pushed to her death at Arthurs seat by her husband.

Thanks so much the sharing your experience! It’s great is t it? Love the bagpipes!
30 seconds in I was like "cool, but really I only need the 1st one". haha. Good video.
Well worth doing all 3 - it makes it a good day hike, instead of just an hour or so :)
Great video!

Glad to hear! It’s a great inner city climb! Well done on doing it & thanks for watching.

did the moderate route yesterday ,the wind was killer and my knees are still complaining - great views though
It's well worth it for the views! Glad you got to see them and hope the knees have recovered!
When aged around 14 me and my mates had a race up the hard side, long before that path was there. We did it in 9 minutes.
Great effort - not sure I could run it, even with the path!
@@sportstraveltom No PlayStations back then. We were superfit.

115 courses?? Going to Arthur’s Seat tomorrow with my daughter. Probably doing the easy route 😅

Blimey, that is quite the story! I hope you are okay.... thank you for getting in touch a very happy new year to you!
What's the music in the background?
It's from Epidemic Sound.
21 😊
Love it - spot on. Impressive number for one city!
@@sportstraveltom, If you have a bad slice you can end up playing 6 or 7 coarses on the same day. 🤣
@@gilbertmoyes2918 hahaha that’s very true!
25 courses...
Nice guess, but a little high.... willing to give it another go?
Last guess. 50
What if you get to pee?
You're not far away from plenty of options in Edinburgh!

Don't need tghe funky music, or any other kind of music.
Cheers for the comment. I made the video so I guess I'm allowed the creative freedom to add music should I wish.
