    I so enjoy your Lara videos. You don’t speak over the music or pause every 5 seconds. You pay attention and get into the vocals and talent. Nothing like a Lara song.

    This is a rendition she made at the JUNO awards, the canadian equivalent of the grammies.
    This song made Lara Fabian a star in Brazil when it was used in the soundtrack of a famous local soap opera called Laços de Familia.
    It topped the brazilian charts for a few months and she was invited in all major brazilian tv shows.
    Then the song became a recurrent in almost every single brazilian singer contests, the ultimate song to prove your vocal power.
    So a lot of brazilian covers including a famous recent one from Gabriel Henrique.
    But Lara’s version is untouchable and remains the absolute reference.
    th-cam.com/video/8V0pGXZxxzE/w-d-xo.html
    I said her version and not the original because Love by Grace is in fact a cover she made of a country song by Wynona Judd. But it was completely revisited as a ballad for Lara and Lara’s version is the one that made it a success WW.
    After this brazil tour, to thanks her brazilian fans who received her as a queen, she translated one of her most famous french hits in portuguese: "Si tu m’aimes" became "Meu grande amor". It was used again for another soap opera titled "O Clone" and became another big hit in Brazil 😀
    Unfortunately no live recording available of her delivery of this other song, just the audio record.
    She even had a third song used in a soap opera in Brazil: "I guess I loved you" was used in the soundtrack of Senhora de destino and it was again a success there.

    For once I tend to disagree with you: the final climax is shining in contrast with the more tender and calm introduction. If it was high directly, it would feel flat in fact. Contrast equals to dynamic.
    Also the anticipation is part of the experience.

    Wow wow wow Lara sings the whole song sitting down, reaching the highs and lows without any problem, her wonderful voice is impressive apart from looking beautiful, many singers have to stand up to be able to sing and she does it as if nothing, wonderful

    As you already know most likely, American’s missed out on Lara’s early years due to Sony Records agreement; which, promoted Celine Dion in the U.S. & Lara as a International Artist aka the rest of the World. This song was released by Bruno Mars years later in the United States. TH-cam has introduced me to many artist. Thanks.

Tanti saluti dall'italia

    I loved the woman in her 30 year with her intensity and her vocal performances.
    I loved the 40 year old with her willingness to discover many different musical styles, always with a fabulous voice.
    And I love the woman in her 50s who has managed to preserve her voice through hard work, adapting to the evolution of her voice while retaining that little bit of enthusiasm and complicity that makes us melt.
    I will love you forever and ever
    Even if you start rap🥵

    I actually watched these Juno Awards in real time TV so very long ago.😂
    Love Lara but you made me laugh with banning first half of songs.
    Our lives are already too "instant gratification" as it is. It supports a lack of maturity to destroy anticipation. One of big reasons why North Americain culture is collapsing.
    I realize that you were only kidding around but I love those soft beginnings to songs.❤

    Lara's songs are rich and varied 15 records over 140 songs
    don't be content with her early live performances from the 2000s
    with these vocal performances
    Lara is much more than that

    Nah, it's the change in dynamics, the build, that is deeply appealing to human nature. A roller coaster without the climb, just an elevator ride high up and a straight shot from there would be boring. Modern pop singers that just blast their vocal pyrotechnics are boring (and do it because they lack the skills for dynamic control.)
    Think of how bad horror movies would be without the suspense, eh?

    • @debbiemorgan859
      @debbiemorgan859 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That was actually quite funny because I don't think he's ever found a Dimash song he doesn't like and yet Dimash has a very similar process to slow build a song and tell a story along the way which is probably down to the fact that Lara was one of his idols growing up.

  • @1Piegus

    Great reaction! Your point is well taken. I love Lara Fabian! But, that's the problem with too much belting and vocal acrobatics; it takes away from what the song is about. It's always about the music first and performance second. That's why I prefer singers like Karen Carpenter, Angelina Jordan over Dimash, Morrisett and others like that...putting attention on them selfs...

    • @debbiemorgan859
      @debbiemorgan859 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I must say you haven't listened to much Dimash if you think he's all about the vocal acrobatics, unfortunately most reactors always go for his high octane songs for the shock factor and completely bypass his beautiful soft ballads like Give Me Love, If I Never Breathe Again, Amanat, Omir and many more that I could mention. Dimash serves the song but when you have a vocal range like he does, composers want to take advantage of that. What Dimash composes for himself is more rock/RnB/Blues.
