If you can’t swing a Dumble or a Two Rock- check out Demeter TGA 2’s and 3’s. Landreth, Raitt, DeLeo, Harper and many more have made em known for their crunch and solo channels, but the cleans are also incredible. I’ve still got a TGA2 100w and run a full board straight into it with a Strat 😮💨. I actually like it more than my 64’ BF Bassman which is no slouch.

I’m fairly certain that the 50w ODS JM played live with D&C is the same exact amp as the one in that pic of that orange wooden on sitting on his lap. I strongly believe he just rehoused it into a black tolex shell as that gorgeous wooden shell finish is quite delicate to be taken on the road. Same amp.

The irony is Dumble really didn't like Mayer, he was pissed that John bought his amps used and took them to Two Rock

Listen to the Guitar Wank podcasts from last year. It’s pretty known that Dumble did not sell amps to Mayer it Bonamassa for that matter.
As much as I do not *want* to believe that, it makes 100% total sense given what Dumble’s personality was

There won’t ever be overlap on colours between the US and SE models I can say that. So don’t hold out for any of the colours on the standard model!

I should say this is not necessarily insider info but based on PRS’s track record with SE finishes vs Core models it’s one defining factor between the two lines. They may do a pink finish one day, I don’t believe one is coming this year, but it won’t be the same as Roxy.

Justin, What's an estimate on the production numbers on the Fender John Mayer strat (2005-2014).
My Two Rock amps are everything to me. Could you imagine if Two Rock stopped building them? $$$!!!
They already of out reach of 99% of players. But for the rich and the Rockstar they hit gold.
They did, the original builders who started Two Rock in 1999, Premier Builder's Guild, sold the company in 2016. Only original builder left is Bill Krinard, who only oversee's development.
That's not how it went. Pgm bought two rock in 2010 and it was bought back by alot of the original two rock guys in 2016. Chad doesn't work there anymore and does amps under tge brand sinewave.
I would think Robben Fords first Dumble ODS would be the MOST important Dumble amp ever made, seeing as Dumble amps wouldn’t be what they are and how we know them without that amp. Because, Alexander Howard Dumble made the ODS to sound like Robbens tone he got with his, I think it was, Fender piggyback Bassman amp.
As a Two-Rock owner, I wonder how close the Two-Rock TS1 is from the Continuum ODS Dumble?
Not sure if I missed it in the video but does John use the clean or overdrive channel on his ODS’s?
A little info, Mayer&Bonamassa bought their Dumble amps, Alexander never built them one,,,, Robben Ford sold his other Dumble, he’s kept the blonde, Carlos had some Dumble amp since the 80’s, Maybe a little earlier, plus he’s the last guitarist That Alexander built him so many amps before his death, Carlos was taking care of Alexander Dumble on his last days, funding,, Carlos only plays Dumble and Bludoo amps now, no more Mesa Boogies, Alexander built amps for guitar players with a remarkable TONE, Carlos, Robben, Larry and Stevie, those who made the amp very special famous, Robben takes all the credit, IMO

For normal people who don't have 6 figures for Dumble or even the 4k you would spend on a clone like Amplified Nation's Bombshell Overdrive, Nembrini put out a great VST emulation of the Overdrive Special.

Hi Justin, I was wondering if you knew anything about ODS #128 that I was the original owner of. I sold it to a shop in London in 2016, but they refused to tell me who the amp was going to. I'm sure you must have watched the TH-cam video of my amp with Mick Taylor from Guitarist Magazine, and That Pedal Show. the email I have for Jesse doesn't seem to work anymore. Thank you.

At a glance, it might seem outrageous to own 14 amps worth hundreds of thousands of dollars each, even for a mega-rich star like John. But in reality, it's quite a safe investment financially, I bet each amp John bought has been sold again for a sizable mark-up. It's like buying a property with the guarantee of being able to resell it with a substantial margin just by living in it for a while.
I would really love to hear him play.
Robin Ford has 2 and 2 exceptionally ordinary players like Mayer and Bonomasso have so many. With 1 Ford still play's better. Funny when Ford play's his it makes "The Dumble" tone. When the other two play them they sound like..........an amp. Maybe that's why Dumble wouldn't deal with them.
Howdy have a small special 50 in that color suede its a head but clean on both sides with alot of gain on both I USE BROWN BOX AND LOWER V1 V2 V4 SO ITS NOT. 12 AX7 OR AU AY EITHER.. ANYWAY 50 WATT HEAD IN SUEDE BLUE HAS 3L 34.
Sounds great both channels TOO MUCH. wirh 12ax7. something less powerfull is better so then you turn volumr and ot gets loud
so replace tubes NEEDS TUBES TESTED CHECKED

@@JustinJeske Brother people who talk with self importance have red flags, words used, demeanor etc. Thats my take and i run into a lot of people who talk like that. And more times, im right than wrong. you can easily see how he relays his job vs some one like Senior Martinez for example.

When John Mayer toured overseas he took Fenders with him….he sounded the same as John Mayer sounds like John Mayer
John’s used Fenders in his amp rigs his whole career. Of course he sounds like himself but your point makes no sense
@@JustinJeske clarification John took Fender Amps with him and left the Dumbles at home In the USA when he toured overseas; QED the video is about amps not Guitars…and sounded the same with the Fender amps as with the Dumble amps.
I would have thought that would have been obvious.

The reason why I ask is because John hasn’t toured with just Fenders (besides some very brief moments with D&C) in the past 20 years. Hence why it’s not obvious, cause you actually don’t know what you are talking about.
