If your ancestors are French they are a waste of money. French law doesn't allow the publication of DNA test results so your DNA test results has no large pool of other French people to compare their DNA with yours. What happens is the DNA testing companies tend to say that you are mostly from Great Britain, for example 80 % Anglo-Saxon because they don't have enough data to compare you to properly.

The winter activities jokes were hilarious... but truthfully when you live where there’s winter 6 months out of the year you need to learn to enjoy it man... Personally I just ordered a pair of snowshoes.
He does have a point about learning good family history from your family. As an example, my dad told me a few years ago that his maternal grandfather was a boxer. Sadly, though, I didn't seem to inherit those genes.
The problem with the good family stories is the fact that as time passes they got embellished more and more so they end up being untrue most of the time. I got a friend who was convinced he came from a small noble house that own some land in a southern part of the country. After some investigation, it turned out his ancestors were Jews who lived in a village owned by the said noble family.
I'm from Milwaukee and I can confirm that we indeed have a hotel here called the Pfister. Not too shabby of a hotel, either. Minus the "surprise" butt penetration by the hotel staff, it's a great place to stay for the hole family!
Cross-country skiing is the bomb. I prefer it to downhill. But then again, I used to be a long distance runner, and cross-country is like a version of that that's easier on the body.
Fellow Hoosier here - that whole Tom Raper thing is so true. Whenever I drive by one of those billboards, I always tell my wife I feel morally obligated to take a can of spray paint and change that “a” to an “o”. I never have though, because it’s too funny. And it totally would have blown Jim’s jokes on Tom Raper.
