Bruce is 44 in BvS, so assuming it takes place in 2016, he was only 6 years old in 1984. Imagine Thomas Wayne making a wiah and the cost is Bruce's life. And as he's huddled over his dead son's body, he whispers, "I renounce my wish." The wish is never stated, but the cost was Bruce.
@@k.sansome.141 gotcha, i didn't know the timeline prior to now. It would still be nice to see a young Bruce making a wish for his parents to come back, and then renouncing it. Coincidentally, he decides to become a hero as Wonder Woman said, immediately able to connect the dots as he overhears Alfred arguing with lawyers on the phone about "What do you mean Wayne Enterprises has gone under??" And "Who is Black Gold and why do they own the Wayne estate??" It might be too much for a Wonder Woman movie, but it'd still be cool.
For those who apparently don't understand subtext. Musical cohesion in a franchise. Outside of the Avengers theme, name one character theme from phase one that has come back. The chord progression of A Beautiful Lie, An Ideal Of Hope and the WW battle theme have appeared in multiple DC projects since 2013. The theme of "the Beautiful lie" appears in BvS, Suicide Squad (look at Enchantress messing with the squad), WW(Diana is convinced Aries is why WW1 happened, but he just was a shoulder devil), ZSJL(look at the guilt Barry and Bruce carry), AM(Arthur believes he doesn't belong in the sea), Shazam(Billy believes finding his mother will fix his feelings of abandonment) and here in WW 84(it's Diana's arc with Steve) . Hell you see aspects of this theme in BOP(HQ's and Huntress' stories) and TSS(Flag believed the lies Waller told about America). That's a deep, coherent theme that permeates modern DC. And why it's superior to the 20 infinity films
I know this is old, but the First Avenger theme was used in the future Captain America movies and in Avengers and age of ultron. The Iron Man 3 theme as a motif was reused in Age of Ultron briefly the Black panther theme and wakanda theme is used pretty much anytime character from that franchise show. The doctor strange Motif was used in his movies and in Spider-Man. The Avengers Motif has been used in multiple movies outside of the main franchise. Just because you can't name any of these points doesn't mean that they don't exist
@@jemmymonroe5835yeah, Avengers theme plays a part in Spider-Man: Homecoming, as well as in Black Widow's movie. Which is the reason that I made the comment that I did last year. I can remember superhero themes from when I was growing up ending to adulthood with certain ones. For example the use of Danny Elfman composing the themes for both the Rami Spider-Man films as well as the early Batman films in the 80s. The X-men theme composed for the Bryan Singer films. The classic Superman theme. Superman theme that carried over from the Animated Series into Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. The superhero themes of the arrowverse including a show that eventually got lumped into the arrowverse being Constantine( a theme which fit so well into the arrowverse that they used it every time the character showed up from season 4 of Arrow all the way until John left Legends of tomorrow). Bruce was 8 in 1981, which was the year in which Thomas and Martha die in the DCEU, or at least Batman v Superman.

Bruce’s parents were killed in 1981. He sure as shit wasn’t 3 years old when they were killed. Bruce in BvS is quite a bit older than what you said.
I thought you were gonna say the cost was Martha.

Hearing this song come back was the best part of the entire movie, by far.
But then it just reminded me of a much better movie, so I got upset.
