Very informative. Those cherry boards are enviable. You seem to have one cutting board per smoker. Oh, wait, you might need to add one more smoker! 😁Just one note, it may be a good idea to use a food surface sanitizer after cleaning. Cheapest way is to make a 100 ppm bleach and water solution.

One thing I've been wanting to know is if your wood cutting board feels granular after putting cooked meat on it to rest and such. What does that mean? Is there a way to get it feeling smooth like new?
You will find if you properly clean and oil it, it will go back and forth. Make sure you use both sides as well and oil them equally. The wood is going to expand and contract and this is normal. 🍻

I have a monster wood #cuttingboard my in laws gave me. It’s not from #fifth&cherry but I do Really enjoy it. you’re right though…they do require TLC.

For raw onion I prefer plastic boards. Otherwise end grain boards are the best.
My small 9x9 is my dedicated workhorse for stuff like that. 🍻
