This was really fun to play along with as a beginner. The long first manip and the fact that his Mudkip is named brought the pace closer to my level. (playing on Ruby) I hit the 148 Mudkip on my second try and started off with a huge head start. Early game movement was suboptimal but I managed to not hit any optional trainers. I got decent fights and I'm not doing a wingull manip so I get to first gym while maintaining most of my lead. Mud slapping the first geodude takes forever even with a crit.| I play the Roxanne fight poorly but another crit means I get a 3 turn Nosepass. I lose some more time to movement and a long Team Magma fight. I don't get enough exp on my way back and end up not evolving. Take an extra fight to make up the exp right before the boat cutscene to get Marshtomp I get the best cave run I've ever gotten with plenty of bonks. I enter the Brawly fight with igt of 0:28 compared to 0:26. Really slow Brawly fight and I get super lucky and had 1 hp and 3 hp on two seperate arm thrusts. Rival 2 goes horribly after the Groville quick attacks me because I let my health get too low. Have to reset again when I get growled. My lead is gone when I enter Watson's gym and I'm two minutes behind when I leave. Taking a break and really not looking forward to the mach bike sections
does anyone know the exact amount of frames from reset to mudkip select? Audio cue is impractical because you would need frame perfect mashing in the beginning menus edit: as i'm watching i have to say that the wingull strat is sooo fascinating
@European Speedrunner Assembly Great Runs, Great Causes, Great entertainment.. but please dont Interlace your 60fps Streams. it really shows on games and can really strain peoples eyes.

The crowd always looks so bored. I at leat enjoyed myself here^^
Love this game no a fan of watching it run tho lol basically just rng and restarting whenever you fail
For some of the fights and mons, sure, but what's cool and sets apart the records are the tight menu-ing movement and pathing.
