Thank you very much for that tutorial. I will use that in my video.
One hint: it is much easier to modify speed of Time remapping on reversed clip, when it is shorter (not trimmed). First configure line of time remapping and then trim the video. Without that it tried to edit whole video file and behaved strangely.

Killer effect and tutorial video! Your teaching style is awesome, and never condescending. Thank you for posting your tutorials. One of two things happens to me every time. I either A) Learn something totally new or B) Learn a way to do something faster than my old way. Thanks again! You've got a lot of talent and a great attitude.

Just wanted other newbies like me to know that the wave warp numbers vary depending on the clip. Fiddle around with the angle, wave height, width, and speed to match your own aesthetic.

this was fantastic! followed step by step and I feel so good to have learned this. Your explanation was great

  • @ian9outof10

This worked really well for me. On a PC the time remapping seems to be noticeably more bollocks than on a Mac. Either that or Adobe has changed something and made it harder (see titles feature) ultimately though, I made it work and it was all thanks to this tutorial. Also, credit MUST be given for not endlessly waffling on. Most of this sort of video run into the hours and feature a lot of opinions I don't need and stuff that anyone who has ever used Premiere already knows. So thanks, this was excellent.

Phew! I was afraid to not find the full tutorial. Far better than the Short version. You skipped the part where you talk about the blend mode in the Short, thus the result was really bad when I tried it! Now it is perfect! Thank you!

if it were an actual VCR, the "rew" overlay wouldn't be warped because it wasn't on the tape, but an overlay onto the output signal. just a tip for those planning to use this

Hi Justin! Just wanted to let you know that I just found your channel, checked it out and I must say I am stunned by how awesome your tutorials are. As a young editor who is still learning, I love especially your advanced tutorials. No wonder that nofilmschool said your videos are easily one of the best on the platform and I must agree. What shocked me though is the viewcount on your videos. Man there should be a lot more subs and views on your videos. Please know that there are people really enjoying your work and keep it up. I will continue to support your channel. Love to you man.
