You guys and your phanomenal anthem will be missed for the rest of the tournement. Hopefully we will see and hear you again soon. I envy you for your anthem and the way you stand in for it. As a German I can say: we play good football this time but our boring anthem sucks. The exacte opposite of you.

@Tangerine10. Scotland is a divided country, and you can't give one example of what it means to be proud to be Scottish. Like I love living is Scotland, it's a beautiful country. But that has nothing to do with being part of the Scottish people. It's seems your pride only comes from blissful ignorance and fictional stereotypes and not reality, hence your inability to give legitmate. examples. Same old story when you ask them exactly what we're supposed to take pride in.

As a Scot who has been watching the national team for decades ( my first game was at Hampden against England in 1970, in a crowd of 134,000 ) I find all this hyperbole about the tartan army a complete irrelevance. The only thing that interests me is what happens on the pitch. In fact, I find this self-obsession of the present-day supporters an embarrassment and a distraction from the grim reality that our national team is unfit to play in the final stages of the Euros or World Cup.Lets forget about the tartan circus and work on developing a team that everyone can back instead of navel- gazing about what amazing supporters we are.

I am German and not much of a supporter of football, since it has developed into a disgusting system of overpaying and overrating teams and single players. I don't like the fact that people who can hardly pay for their living spend their money on people who don't care as long as they carry their millions home.
On the other hand I'm an avid supporter of people enjoying a massive football party - these times are hard. There is so much hate in the world. Anyway there are so many people in Germany from all over Europe having a great time together.
For me this is what Europe stands for - Being united and have a good time with friends and friends-to-be.
In this case football is just a side effect - nothing to care about too much.

@gordoncumming1881 yes the tartan army are like a joke stereotype of Scotland when it's miles off the reality. They all still think we're kilt wearing, haggis munching, whisky swilling simpletons. They are everything wrong with Scottish culture.
