I know that some audio suppliers like to tune their sound systems to have extra bass, extra treble, less mids, etc... In these cases, it's definitely necessary to change the EQ, in order to get a flatter frequency response. But, when set to the "Authentic" setting, Dynaudio actually tuned this sound system to output as close to a flat frequency response as possible in this car, which means that you hear the music (as close to) the way the artist intended for you to hear it (as possible). Each and every song that you listen to has already been individually EQ'd by the Artist. Changing the EQ of your speakers messes up the Artist's EQ for the song, so you hear an "artificial" or "colored" version of the it, instead of the way that they intended for it to sound. Why ruin the Artist's hard work?
@@MrHidinho You’re welcome. Dynaudio says that the “Dynamic” settings boosts certain frequencies like bass, helping bring out some energy in music. This is still “coloring” the music. But, many people like listening to music this way. Whatever makes you happy is the most important thing. As long as you know that the “Authentic” setting (with all eq set to 0) is the most accurate setting for hearing the music the way the artist intended for you to hear it :)
