  • The deep winter green house is just not going to be a passive one, even if dug into the ground. Haven't heated it since Christmas and it hasn't froze, but not enough heat to keep things growing good.
It's warmer now in March, and no additional heat is needed.

Try using Agribon directly over the crop and get the heat below the insulation. Don’t try to heat the whole building just the plant beds

The thing we find with our winter greenhouse is that even if you heat it then you don't have enough light to have significant growth between Nov and Feb. You can easily keep things alive that are ready to harvest.

Yep, we found that out too. Especially this winter, it's been so overcast here. We have only been getting a couple of sunny day per month.

    Try a GAHT system.

Do you think the seeds off what has come through winter will be more hardy? Is it possible for a plant to develop a tolerance? Good video. And God speed!

They could be. I don't know how long a tomato plant can live. I was just talking with my wife trying to remember what kind of tomato plants they were, (she was in charge of them). Don't think they were hybrids.. We may try some of the seeds from them. Thanks for commenting.

Supplemental heat seems to be a given.

Excellent, thank you for sharing. I haven't received notices, became unsubscribed, guess there is a lot of that on you tube. Cheers.
