Wow! I lived in Hercules in around 2000-2008 and it was so different back then. There was so much development there that I was actually the very first person to live in my house in Hercules and watch that house build from the ground up. I also remember that retail and commercial complex being built in the area you're walking in at 3:14 and thought they were building mega-mansions at first lol. I miss my old house in Hercules so bad because it was really big and was close to the ocean and many beautiful places. The only thing is that it was very boring so It's exciting to see new developments and commercial plans in Hercules. I hope the city does not overdo it or overdevelop it though. Some parts are quite nice because of the natural aspect of it.

The opposite of gentrification is happening to Hercules right now. 2 kids were just arrested for possession of a handgun in Hercules highschool last week. Man shot in the chest multiple times at the shopping center a few months ago, and a stand off with police a couple weeks ago. It’s going to get really bad there eventually.
Does Hercules have a hospital? Grocery store? Are there any apartments there? all I see is track homes.
