I know this series occasionally suffers of unfortunate visual moments from the limitations of 80's animation, but man, look at the choreography and how they make the characters dance and gesture. There is so much being communicated here, it really is like a music video and there really was some creative talent behind this show. Pizzazz's posturing in this video in particular is just awesome.
There's ups and down in the series because when they were running out of time the studio in Japan outsourced the episodes, but in this particular video they made one of hist best jobs that paired with the great fashion and empowering message of the song turn it into one of the best videos of the series.
im very fucking late but this is because (once they got the budget thanks to the numbers on sales) they were able to afford better animation for their series, and get animators over seas to animate their music videos and even some of the episodes :) this was done by Toei animation! the same studio that animated dragon ball
I love how it’s Pizzazz of all characters to sing a song with such a positive and powerful message. As bad as she is, you gotta admire how hard she tries to get her band to the top. Her dedication is probably even stronger than Jem’s, which is what made her perfect for this song.
This is one of my favorite Misfit songs, it shows how lovely Pizzazz's singing voice is, also this song is very Pizzazz. She certainly wasn't the type to set and home and wait for stuff to happen she went after what she wanted.
One of the best of the Misfits songs. The great thing about Jem is that as the series got older it got more mature. It let the villains be more than just villains and let the heroes be more than just paragons.
It was a rare cartoon with character development. Pizazz mom died, Roxy couldn’t read, Stormer was good at heart but she felt she needed to belong to something
That's the irony of the show for me. Jerrica was such a doormat, while Jem was passive-aggressive and indecisive. The Misfits did what they wanted on their terms.
i LOVE the Misfits! Stormer and Roxy are my favourites, but I really like all of them. A lot of the Holograms are quite bland by comparison. You can tell the Misfits really struggled to get where they are - even Pizzazz, who is a spoiled rich brat, had to struggle with a cold, emotionally distant father who thought throwing money at his daughter was a substitute for parenting. Her background explains a lot why she feels the need to have such a big, brash personality - only way to get noticed! And her lack of self-worth because of parental neglect explains why she feels the need to be so hard and tough - it's a self-defence/survival mechanism! They're all such great characters😁
A BOP to this day!! Misfits top 6 jem can't compete. The EDGE & CONFIDENCE WAS UNMATCHED!! 1. GIANT 2. UNIVERSAL APPEAL 3. DESIGNING WOMAN 4. QUEEN OF ROCK & ROLL 5. I LIKE YOUR STYLE 6. OFF & RUNNING
Can we just take a moment and appreciate the bass lines featured in this song? It's just so catchy and memorable. Definitely one of the best tracks from the Misfits!
I remember watching this animation when I was growing up in Korea back in the 80s… it was dubbed in Korean but only the songs were all sang in English I absolutely had no idea wth they were saying but loved it!!! And yes! This was one of the best things ever 😅😂 a bit weird now I can 100% understand what they’re saying it sounds so different
Shame how she takes such a bad turn in character development when Sting comes into the picture, and she totally loses her charm as she devolves into a lovestruck fangirl being used for her money, ironically becoming the very woman she mocks in this song.
The Misfits WON The Battle Of The Bands With "Takin' It All" OK? Let's face this fact no matter WHAT the show dictated. xD They rocked this show... Jem had some really good tunes but The Misfits just stole the show imo.. Even when The Stingers came.. The Misfits STILL came out on top!
I was 6 years old when I saw this, I love Jem but in this amazing moment Pizzazz teach me the most importan advice for my future life: "Bad girls have fun like no one". I love everything of her in this song, she is absolutly gorgeous and perfectly evil ❤️🥰❤️
popi2971 now that's tricky. I like jem, and here music is good but at times it's a little too syrupy sweet ya know? Like with "that's not the real me", it made me want to scream "woman you bust your ass 3 different ways can you pleas act a little spoiled?! It might do some good" but I do have a few favorite songs "let me go" "too close for our own good" and "nightmare" are my top 3
0:12 Wait wait wait!!!!...."CA-NIKE...SheBok...TUNA...REVERSE...raddidis...WTF... HHHmmm...I can buy a pair of REVERSE "Brook Sailor Super Star"!!!....Hahahahahaha....
I know that the movie is an abomination, but Kesha still would have been PERFECT as Pizzazz. Her music video for 'Woman' is essentially just like this. Female empowerment.
It's a visual gag. Check out the boxes that the clerk is carrying at 0:12, they're all jokes on popular shoe brans Ca-nike = Nike, Shebok = Reebok, Tuna = Puma, Reverse = Converse, Raddidis = Addidas
Well, at least I know some of you are still "making it" after those "not so joyous holidays" of 2013. And yes, it still gets clearer by the issue, TMF...
Yea, I can see you're beginning to post cleaner versions of several of the original videos already, particularly of the longer (1:15-1:30 length) ones. Can't wait for more stuff...

Yes!
Yes, once again great animation from the Japanese and Korean studios Toei and Akom
Yes :) PIZZAZZ!

Pizzazz was gaslight, gatekeep and girlboss all at once
she was just a designing woman 😂
A bully but I envy her confidence

My favorite villains song
I love how Jem just randomly showed up for the one shot of Pizzazz pushing her away.
+Peter LoCasto ikr? shes like a stunt for the misfits videos, lol
This is one of my favorite Misfit songs, it shows how lovely Pizzazz's singing voice is, also this song is very Pizzazz. She certainly wasn't the type to set and home and wait for stuff to happen she went after what she wanted.

Jem was a soap opera in cartoon form.
It was a rare cartoon with character development. Pizazz mom died, Roxy couldn’t read, Stormer was good at heart but she felt she needed to belong to something
@msrain1235 Great villains song
It sure is@@rickmartinez3268
The Misfits were the real badasses that empowered little girls.
That's the irony of the show for me. Jerrica was such a doormat, while Jem was passive-aggressive and indecisive. The Misfits did what they wanted on their terms.
Even in the 80s they're so awesome
Ikr they're so confident and full of style.

6. OFF & RUNNING
Also don't forget
🎵 Mischief, we're making mischief, making mis----chief 🎵
Confidence:
JEM Is A VOCALIST!!!!!!
BUT
Pizzazz Is A STAR!!!!
Can we just take a moment and appreciate the bass lines featured in this song? It's just so catchy and memorable. Definitely one of the best tracks from the Misfits!
Roxy's bass guitar lines really underpinned the Misfits songs so strongly.
I remember watching this animation when I was growing up in Korea back in the 80s… it was dubbed in Korean but only the songs were all sang in English I absolutely had no idea wth they were saying but loved it!!! ❤
Jem rules, Barbie drools. Any questions?
Shame how she takes such a bad turn in character development when Sting comes into the picture, and she totally loses her charm as she devolves into a lovestruck fangirl being used for her money, ironically becoming the very woman she mocks in this song.
She became what she swore to destroy!
On the bright side we do get one of the best songs in the series: Love Sick.
The triumphant final pose is everything.
0:12 I ❤ the names they came up with for the shoeboxes with the off brands lol. "Raddidus' aka Adidas probably my fav, then reverse aka Converse!😂😂😂
I feel like if Pizzazz was a real person and alive today she would be on r/notlikeothergirls
This made me wheeze thank you
YES AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SONG, SHE SAID, “OTHER GIRLS” AND I WHEEZED
I KNOW, other than that, good message lmaooo
Still way more empowering than Jem lmao. Jem/Jerrica was the definition of a doormat
No sound effects! This is how I expected them to play on the DVDs.
The show contained sound effects during many songs, this is from a special source.
one of my favorite Misfits songs
Same here❤
The Misfits WON The Battle Of The Bands With "Takin' It All" OK? Let's face this fact no matter WHAT the show dictated. xD They rocked this show... Jem had some really good tunes but The Misfits just stole the show imo.. Even when The Stingers came.. The Misfits STILL came out on top!
One of the best Misfits songs, great stuff!
Pizzazz is a feminist icon.
Always loved the Misfits over Jem. Hahaha. This might be my favorite of their songs.
Pizzaz has always been one of my spirit animals ;)
1 hell of a song!
Kick ass music!😊
I was 6 years old when I saw this, I love Jem but in this amazing moment Pizzazz teach me the most importan advice for my future life: "Bad girls have fun like no one". I love everything of her in this song, she is absolutly gorgeous and perfectly evil ❤️🥰❤️
top 3 misfit song
Is one of the other 2 "you oughta see the view from here"?
no, i like that one too but it's not in the top 3 for me. What do you have for top 3?
popi2971 well after that it would have to be "I like your style" and "let's blow this town"
good ones, what about hologram songs, top 3?
popi2971 now that's tricky. I like jem, and here music is good but at times it's a little too syrupy sweet ya know? Amazing lyrics. Better than many current songs without deepness or meaningless
The fashion, though ❤. This is one of my favorite Misfits songs.
I love the fact that they made a parody of shoe marks in 00:12
CA-NIKE
She-bok
Tuna
Reverse
Raddidis
Catchy song from the 80's
Indeed so awesome 😊
Rock out Mists! 😊
im 22 so i watched this on this one channel and i loved it so much. especially this song
Interesting brand of running shoes they have in that store. Shebok
One of my fav misfits songs ❤❤❤
Pizazz has got what it takes to be big!
When I watched rhis show in 80s, I always loved how The Misfits trashed everything and everyone in every music video, true rock stars! 😂
Another truly outrageous job!
I will get the misfits album. ! I love pizzazz , She’s amazing !
"And I've designs on--YOU!" (pointing at Shana)
AAHHHHHHHH, so ahead of its time!
What I like about the misfits songs is they are more feminist
L.A. Jones I love how the misfits don't take anyone's shit
Me too! This is one of my fav songs from Jem.
Yet when sting come into the picture she devolve into a basic fangirl ... becoming what she swear to destroy.

Merci beaucoup !
There are other new videos as well. Check uploads.
TheMitigating Done :) These are great, as always. Thanks a lot for keeping on with your uploads.
Argubally Their Best Choreography....
0:58's verse is such a great part
When the villain drops a feminist anthem
LMAOOO
1 of my favorites by the Misfits
What ever happen to your trulyoutragous website where you post the high quality pic.
I will bring that back soon, promise.
Man, I love Pizzazz. 🤠

❤
"I want your skulls- I NEED your skulls!" -The Misfits '82
0:47 Pizzazz's hands are different colors and match the Misfit behind it.
0:12 Wait wait wait!!!!...."CA-NIKE...SheBok...TUNA...REVERSE...raddidis...WTF...
HHHmmm...I can buy a pair of REVERSE "Brook Sailor Super Star"!!!....Hahahahahaha....
Yes. Lol!!!
I was team The Misfits I know they were the bad girls. But they are so much fun.
Thank you..
She’s literally singing the anthem for “Im not like other girls “
I've always preferred The Misfits over J&TH!
I know that the movie is an abomination, but Kesha still would have been PERFECT as Pizzazz. Her music video for 'Woman' is essentially just like this. Female empowerment.
What's with the box of tuna that keeps appearing in the background? I'm serious, see for yourself.
Probably some good old 80s product placement😅. Don't recognize the brand though.
It's a visual gag. Check out the boxes that the clerk is carrying at 0:12, they're all jokes on popular shoe brans

TUNA
Jesus, the lyrics are vicious.
How is Pizzaz a designing woman iof she's stealing Shana's designs?
"Designing" can mean "scheming" as well.
Before Rupaul we had the misfits
The original NLOG anthem
What I find very uncanny and coincidental is that the white hair girl is called Roxy and looks very similar to Roxanne from FNAF SB.
Fnaf Sb came out like last year jem came out like 1986
💀
Where's Danzig?
Qui est là à cause de Bob Lennon ? Moi oui :)

Urmm
Pizzaz gives me lesbian vibes~🤔
Back in my day that’s was pick me
