Great vid mate. Your editing skills are excellent!!! I'd take a series of test pans before deciding on a spot to setup the sluice, It will help you find the deposits. Well done, i really enjoyed it.
Cheers mate, first time trying to make a decent video so im glad you enjoyed it 😁 yeah I think in future I will do just that. I was just abit too excited about getting in there this time round 😁
Awesome ! . I've got a question South islands gorgeous and rivers . With a gold detector do you need any licence? Hopefully not because I think what we find is hours to keep! . Thank you 👍
Hey bro love the video I'm looking to buy me a good pan kit but I live up Northland there's some close rapid Rivers to where I live think off try my luck just worry about the rules off pan as I know there no Gold fossicking in the north island is ok to just pan on a farm river or even down on the local beach ?
Thanks Rob, goes a long way. Cheers for watching and glad you enjoyed the video 😁 hope to have some fresh vids up before the end of the year for you to feast your eyes on 👀🤙
@@KiwiGoldHunter no worries mate, i sure did, whatched about 2mins and subbed. im looking forward to seeing more. my partner and i are coming down that way in our camper for our honeymoon next year and im wanting to have a stab at it while we are down there.
@@robheathcote8561 Nice, worth a mission in a camper for sure! So many good hidden spots and places to see. I believe there are about 17 public gold fossicking locations in the South Island, which are all worth checking out in the search of gold 😁 www.paydirt.co.nz/locations/public-gold-fossicking-areas

Try divert the stream away so you get under huge boulders they have more gold also leave holes vortex zones and throw lead in stream and learn it's detection sounds where they fall gold is in mass fyi
Epic first vid dude 🤙 Camera work is dam good as well as edit.. took us for ever to get it at lease partly right lol... the hole you dug.. did the gold count get better as you got deeper.? Did you hit bedrock or clay.???
Cheers 😁 yeah I was abit worried on how to make it all work. Took me abit of time to nut out the edditing. Had to bin a bunch of video that was rubbish aswell! Yes the gold did get better so must be pretty deep in this area. Didnt hit bedrock this time around

Thanks 😁 Working on my second video now haha I set the bar high for myself. This video was taken on one of the free gold fossicking locations just out of Westport. Was in the area so went for a little play.

Kia ora brother! hope you have been well given current events 😁 Im going to be launching soon a series of videos covering all the NZ public locations and the equipment I use... working on getting the introductory video up soon just waiting on some good weather to film it then get in out there 🔥⛏🤪
Thanks for watching :) Test pans are defiantly the way to go, I have started doing this in all my new locations trying to find the best spot to get stuck into.
Nice video. Looks like you were digging loose wash? You found gold in it! Your on a winner! Follow what A&T Adventure said and you will do better. I subscribed, waiting for your follow up videos. Your doing good work.
Yes pretty happy I found some there. Will have to head back upto this spot and start digging deep as A&T Adventure mentioned. Cheers for the subscribe, hope to get a bunch of videos up soon 😁
Hello ! near my house there are many hills with waterfalls and streams I have tried many ways such as using diving goggles and snorkel to find, I have a highbanker, I have a gold hat ... but I could not find A little bit of gold ... please help me ... is it because I don't have a metal detector?
Hi there, thanks for watching yeeeow! It could be that there is not any gold in these streams. If there is history of it being there then it sounds like you have enough tools for the job, just keep searching and learning the area you will find it eventually, its a game of patience 😁 good luck and happy hunting 😁⛏🔥🤙🤪🍻
Hey Kore, you do need permits to mine and prospect for gold. There are 17 gold fossicking sites open to the public in New Zealand. These sites are limited to hand tools only such as shovel, sluice box, and panning. All other locations or use of dredges, motorised equipment and/or excuvations requires permits. I own land with streams which falls under a mining act which I have still not looked into as yet but have not been mining them due to these public locations being near me. Check out the locations for public gold fosicking at www.paydirt.co.nz/locations/public-gold-fossicking-areas
Well I am only in small time hand tool fossicking mode at the moment, so I guess I recomend that while you learn where gold natrually falls and hangs out. But ideally yoi want to use methods which take less physical efforr which takes you into permits and large macheney which can becime very costly
That was my first ever video, filmed at Stoney and Briatannia Streams, ive done a more recent video of that are if you havnt checjed it out already ⛏🧀🔥🤪🤙
