Hi Shirley! Thank you so much for the kind comment, we are so grateful to hear from you. Very glad that you enjoy this build so much! We hope that you are doing well! Happy adventuring! 💙🤍
Its so refreshing to see a necromancer who isn't outright evil! Even if she's a neutral character, and not a really "good" one, it still escapes from the "necromancer bad" cliché. What a nice build!
@williamcote4208 I love how the Bonelord just wanted his Dog back, but because of that experience, he learned how precious life is and seeks to preserve it even if it's through admittedly Dark Means. I played him as a sort of Cleric of Life and death, he resurrects those who have committed sins like bandits and necromancers so that they may hopefully repay some of those sins through helping him protect Skyrim from threats such as other bandits and necromancers, the Dragons or Vampires so they have a more peaceful afterlife. I use Dead thrall on named evil NPCs like Calixto for example, maybe bringing him back so that he can help me clear out a coven of Necromancers and clearing out the Dark Brotherhood with Astrid etc.
@@Skypothesis it's an undead follower that SHOUTS!!!!! Iv made my own necromancer, and I role-playing that it's a long dead Dragonborn that iv ressurected
As a person who hates evil playthroughs, I was worried the next necromancer would be a 'I am death incarnate' character to contradict the auramancer, but you've managed to subvert expectations again! I hope we don't have to wait too long for the crossbow and unarmed builds!
Although admittedly, sometimes it is a ton of fun to just embrace the stereotype and roleplay an Evil Necromancer. Maybe throw in the occasional Evil Cackle while you play.

How about a Oblivion Crisis themed Vigil of standarr? Paladin-esque with anti necro/daedra emphasis, or even better, a corrupted version where they've been captured and tortured and turned. Making use of the restoration tree to seek vengeance still on those cultists/vampires who cursed him with Molag's gift. Spellbreaker + Dawnbreaker combo w/ spells as alt. That or a Dunmer who had close ties with the dwemer before their disappearance and makes it his duty to collect all the dwemer artifacts and horde/keep them protected?
little update with my legendary anniversary edition survival play through with the oblivion sentinel, currently level 24 and am enjoying dawnguard and main quest right now. honestly i think i could play till level 100 maxing out skills i would want that would add to the character. such a good build!
hey man, you missed a cool enchant from the new necromancer armor it gives you plus 1 lesser undead, so with the colossus you can have 5 summons. 4 warlocks plus the colossus melts dragons !
As always, I love the backstory, roleplay, and aesthetic! I like how The Bone Shepherd kind of “accidentally” fell into the use of necromancy and that serves her in her role of protector rather than having her motivation simply be evil. The reference to The Whiteskull Warlock and the tie-in to The Sunfire Herald are awesome additions to The Bone Shepard’s backstory. I like how well the main questline seems to fit in with her motivations after seeing a skeletal dragon being raised from the dead. It’s neat how you integrated the farming feature into her roleplay since farming and herd animals were an important part of her upbringing. 💀
Hey Look at That! The Skypothesis Cinematic Universe continues to grow with an epic rivalry between the Sun Fire Herald and the Bone Shepherd! Backstory wise, I like THIS type of Necromancer, the type who isn't actively using Necromancy as a tool for evil. It just never crosses her mind that what she's doing is Taboo or Unethical.
I'll be honest, I haven't had the urge to play Skyrim in years, but I never skip a Skypothesis video. The editing and atmosphere alone are enough to get me to watch all the way through even if I probably won't ever make a build anytime soon

im a big fan of the angle in the backstory, of a wholesome necromancer who is just trying to keep the farm going, and being super close with her mom's memory. thats 10/10 how you write a complex character with nuance
Was the part of the backstory about the Orc bodies being buried in proper graves and the Breton bodies all piled up a reference to one of your previous character builds, or to one that you are planning on releasing in the future?

Loved the use of Goldenplains Plantation (AKA "the Farm") and it's attendant unhappy ghosts needing to be put to rest. 3. Bone Collossus+multiple skeleton minions+Gallows Hall permanent minion+Bone Wolf? An undead horde without the Ritual Stone/Aetherial Crown glitching-yes please! (I call that the "Dead Man's Party" after an old Oingo Boingo song) Unexpected icing on the cake: Ancano hates your skeleton minion. Nicely done!
You guys do such a good job. Your characters are always interesting and your videos are so nicely edited. I can’t wait for you guys to blow up like some other channels. You deserve it
I am watching this video for a second time and only just caught the reference to the Daedric Warchief. I love the anniversary edition content and can't wait for future Skyrim builds!
I thought this might be the spell focus, but didn't expect the aesthetic and overall concept. Good point about the different forms of necromancy. Of course, that's the kind of thing that makes me indecisive when it comes to actually playing. :) I like that you incorporated the farming feature; it's a nice additional aspect of the character through gameplay, coincidentally similar to the Sunfire Herald's guild. I think the Shepherd could also get training in Block, since one of the (only two) trainers is an Orc chief, and at least in my experience the skill levels kinda slowly.
Thank the nine you guys released a new video today, I just discovered your channel at the beginning of this week and finished watching all the Skyrim build videos last night, lol. Great job on the characters and channel!
Awesome! I don't normally love a necromancer as they're too passive, but I like how this one's right in there tanking hits and flinging their staff around. The headpiece really makes the aesthetic for me.
Good thing I love skyrim and trying different ways to play; every time I see one of your builds I want to start over. Currently am at level 43 on the Oblivion Sentinel that I am playing as a Breton Conjurer named after The Wolf Queen Potema that I have been wanting to do. All of your builds become my favorite. I especially liked your builds "The Art Dealer " and am still working on "The Jade Huntress" that I named the Wilderqueen.
A fresh take on necromancy is great! I love how grounded the backstory and the character is. I enjoy Paradoxical builds like this! Great work again guys!
I've made a couple of builds/fantasy playthroughs so far. With the new silver armor and the ice blade of the monarch I made a evil hunting knight, with Trueflame and the elven armor variant I made a an Ex-captain from hammerfell and at one point I'm going to make a new mage with that blue staff the anniversary edition gave us
I watched an anime called The Faraway Paladin, and I realized you guys don’t have a Paladin build yet. The sun fire Herald is close obviously but not quite it. Awesome build as always guys.
Just by seeing the intro I KNEW the Ashabah would be somehow related to her, considering she too is a spellshield. Very great build as always, and I like that we now have a 'traditional' necromancer in the SBU (Skypothesis Build Universe)!
You guys are masters of synergy! Love the occult farmer vibe :) Reflecting on the stories in this video, as well as those of the Daedric Warchief and Redoran Swordmaster, I feel like it would be really fun to play as a cocky, glory seeking Breton knight-errant.
I like that you mentioned a couple of moments from across the main quest, describing how she reacts to specific situations: like when you mentioned how uncomfortable she would be when at the Thalmors party. That’s very humanizing. I encourage you to mention more specific moments and reactions from various quest lines in your other builds.
Amazing and detailed build, can’t wait to try put the spells. Now I will be waiting for the new unarmed gauntlets. A build I want to make is a spellsword but that utilizes ward spells, and has no armor so they use alteration. Utility spells only. I feel like that is a great build opportunity that can be roleplayed to hunt evil and undead, but never wanted to join a guild until they decided to work with the dawnguard, but they still refuse to use their armor as it slows them down and they have faith in their magic prowess. I would love to hear your take on that too :)
Your videos have such a cool cinematic vibe, such nice production! Love this man, really cool how it subverts the whole "necromancer = edgy and evil" trope alot of builds go for :)
Brother I just wanna say you’re awesome please keep making this type of content it will take you a long way in life and it helps keep my depression at bay
I have been enjoying working up my character whom I named Gorlana Bone Shaper. Currently she has a fellow Orc as a follwer after helping Groza and visiting Dushnikh Yal. I had her unlock Gallow Halls then headed to the College of Winterhold only to find out the Mages didn't like the Boneman she had following her and they killed it.
Had that exact same thing happen. Oddly enough they didn't turn hostile until Ancano saw it. Apparently the same thing happens during certain Civil War quests.
Some of the stuff in the creation club is amazing for new builds. At the moment I'm playing a female woodelf with a focus on Magic (Fire spells, paralyzing spells, poison rune and the most important spell Pride of Hirstaang the new bear summon) It feels a lot like playing the druid class from Diablo 2 in Skyrim.^^
Funnily enough my AE character is an orc necromancer.. it's more brutish but I was planning on using dragonbone with the jagged crown. Keep up the good work as always!
Perhaps a High Elf to contrast with the Burning Barbarian being a Nord Maybe Chillrend or the Pale Blade as the main weapon of choice and Stahlrim Armor to double down on the ice theme
Brother I just wanna say you’re awesome please keep making this type of content it will take you a long way in life and it helps keep my depression at bay❤️
A cool idea would be a scholar who doesn't use very much magic. He/she would only use novice or apprentice spells with the exception of transmute. The scholar would have a bow, dagger and staves and scrolls. He would collect books, do quests and explore dungeons if they had a historical significance. The scholar would wear a novice robe, college robes, boots and gloves.
I have an idea for a build, the peasant. He/She dual wields a pick axe and a woodcutters axe, they wear a mix of common clothes and hide armour pieces while also using flesh spells to boost armour rating. I dont know if it would be super viable but its certainly a unique concept
I like that idea, think I'll try something like that, add alchemy as one forced to live off of what she or he can find as an herbal lore master and graciously accepting rewards.
We didn't mention it in the video, (because we didn't figure out the details in time), but you need to be about lvl 46 for the bone colossus to be available from phinis gestor, just a heads up!
I’ve recently made a khajiit monk character using the same staff I switch between paralysis, calm and a unenchanted version which I can block and bash with
Another amazing video! I kinda want to get the anniversary edition so I can play this, but I'm addicted to my mods and that would break them. Lol its tempting tho with this build!
Just found a fun mechanic you guys may be able to use in a future build. If you combine blue mountain flower, wheat, and nightshade, you basically get a health potion that's classified as a poison because it degenerates magic. On my poacher/naturalist character that doesn't perk archery I've been putting that on iron arrows to heal my armored troll from afar.
That is a great idea. I remember there was an old build on the tamriel vault that would coat a knife with "beneficial poisons" and use it on her minion. I've always wanted to do something similar...
Thats such a nice build. The combination of a peaceful yet strong character with necromancy and the orc race of all things does come together so seamlessly i just had to try it! And it is still a lot of fun. ʕᵔᴥᵔʔ
@@Skypothesis Just one question if i may: What Steward did you guys choose for the goldenhills plantetion? I believe an Orc from the Strongholds would fit nicely but i can't really decide. Of course if you still remember that is, with all the builds going on it could be quite difficult to do. (ᵔᵕᵔ )
I was waiting for the Necromancer Grimoire Creation for soooooo long… Necromancy in the base game is fine, but not nearly as convenient as atronachs or Daedra, glad this changes that a little
Possibly, we only have a few mods installed though. Natural View Tamriel, Obsidian Weathers, Noble Skyrim Textures, Violens Killmoves, and that's pretty much it. but we might have a few texture mods here and there i'm forgetting.
This was a very cool build and video!!! Increased my interest in the new AE. Awesome!!

Brother I just wanna say you’re awesome please keep making this type of content it will take you a long way in life and it helps keep my depression at bay❤️
The Bone Shepherd's habitat getting destroyed by The Sunfire Herald? Damn...
I really love this build thx
A cool idea would be a scholar who doesn't use very much magic. He/she would only use novice or apprentice spells with the exception of transmute. The scholar would have a bow, dagger and staves and scrolls. He would collect books, do quests and explore dungeons if they had a historical significance. The scholar would wear a novice robe, college robes, boots and gloves.
That's a fun idea!
I have an idea for a build, the peasant. He/She dual wields a pick axe and a woodcutters axe, they wear a mix of common clothes and hide armour pieces while also using flesh spells to boost armour rating. I dont know if it would be super viable but its certainly a unique concept
That’s a sweet idea!
@@Skypothesis thanks, glad you liked it! :D
I like that idea, think I'll try something like that, add alchemy as one forced to live off of what she or he can find as an herbal lore master and graciously accepting rewards.
Trying this one out now. Looks fun.
We didn't mention it in the video, (because we didn't figure out the details in time), but you need to be about lvl 46 for the bone colossus to be available from phinis gestor, just a heads up!
@@Skypothesis alright thank you for the heads up
The Bone Shepherd and Daedric Warchief are from the same Stronghold? Maybe the plot thickens?
👀
Pls make a build with the ghostspells
The spell looks dangerous. Keep your distance!
I’ve recently made a khajiit monk character using the same staff
I switch between paralysis, calm and a unenchanted version which I can block and bash with
Currently playing a vampire “Dreadlord” version of this build. Very fun.
I wish people can go for different Skypothesis builds and just play Skyrim Together the multiplayer. I'd love to be a part of it.
Another amazing video! I kinda want to get the anniversary edition so I can play this, but I'm addicted to my mods and that would break them. Lol its tempting tho with this build!
Yeah it's going to be a fair bit before the mod situation stabilizes
Great video!
Thank you!!
Nice vid
Just found a fun mechanic you guys may be able to use in a future build. If you combine blue mountain flower, wheat, and nightshade, you basically get a health potion that's classified as a poison because it degenerates magic. On my poacher/naturalist character that doesn't perk archery I've been putting that on iron arrows to heal my armored troll from afar.
That is a great idea. I remember there was an old build on the tamriel vault that would coat a knife with "beneficial poisons" and use it on her minion. I've always wanted to do something similar...
The sins of the Herald give rise to a Shepherd...
The Ghost sees all...the Ghost sees all...
Thats such a nice build. The combination of a peaceful yet strong character with necromancy and the orc race of all things does come together so seamlessly i just had to try it! And it is still a lot of fun. ʕᵔᴥᵔʔ
Thank you!!! Glad you liked it:)
@@Skypothesis Just one question if i may: What Steward did you guys choose for the goldenhills plantetion? I believe an Orc from the Strongholds would fit nicely but i can't really decide. Of course if you still remember that is, with all the builds going on it could be quite difficult to do. (ᵔᵕᵔ )
@@neiabaraja2044 Lydia.... in retrospect we should have found an orc lol
Dream build right here lol definitely going to try it after my current Odin build
Excellent video
Bardic knowledge is the strongest power out there and you can't tell me otherwise
Another killer build
I was waiting for the Necromancer Grimoire Creation for soooooo long… Necromancy in the base game is fine, but not nearly as convenient as atronachs or Daedra, glad this changes that a little
This was a lot of fun!
Have you guys considered sharing a mod video where you show us what graphic mods you use? Your videos look great!
Possibly, we only have a few mods installed though. Natural View Tamriel, Obsidian Weathers, Noble Skyrim Textures, Violens Killmoves, and that's pretty much it. but we might have a few texture mods here and there i'm forgetting.
Can no one else find the bone colossus
