The enchanting tower looks phenomenal! I’d love to see a video talking about your process for building/designing - do you plan these ahead of time in a creative world or just go for it and adapt on the fly?
Glad you liked it, this one took some time to get right. To answer your question, sometimes the former sometimes the latter. If it's a small or simple build it can be done on the fly. most things built underground will be done on the fly because they don't need the extra overview of placement and sight lines. Larger or more complicated builds will be mocked up in a creative world, sometimes multiple iterations before it gets built in survival. This one took about 50 hours from design to final touches survival.
So many fun references in this one! Impressive farm at the end of it though. And I laugh that you just casually built an entire tower as if it's nothing at the start! Gorgeous!
The farm has a long way to go, but that made for a decent start. There are so many seeds and flowers in BMC that I could make fields and sheds over the horizon and still not capture them all. Tower? what tower, pssh, that old thing? I bought it half off in Penny's.
Ah good. As a rule I tend to hate every roof I ever made. They are the bringers of pain and doubt. I need calmer, saner eyes once I've finished them lol.
You know what'd really make minecraft a funner game? Random events like that'd be awesome, stuff that'd create random issues idk meteor strikes or maybe a pack of mobs, maybe you fall into a deep dungeon and need to think logically to get out
I have to say, it is something they've done quite well with the packs in BMC. There are things that bug me about it but the world does feel far more alive. lots of random things to run into, plenty of incentive to explore. I think mojang are afraid to upset the very lucrative apple cart by doing too much with the world, so you end up with trial chambers as the effort to do the same, which don't really scratch the same itch imo.
@@microcosmgaming i agree... Honestly i dont wanna sound like that guy... but i miss old minecraft for one very simple reason: It was undiscovered. Updates every friday, a very hoax filled internet, Herobrine was a genuine threat cause you really didn't know if he was added or not, and i feel they need to do that again
@universal5459 yea I get ya. I miss some of the older MC ways too. The problem with nostalgia though is that it's always rose tinted. If I squint hard I can also remember boats exploding because I looked at them. Less community engagement. A world of bugs and an unsteady future for the game. We'll never get the 'feel' of early MC back, not entirely, but at least we can always roll back our game instance to 1.8 or whatever, and go be sick on the nether textures all over again.
@universal5459 It sure was mate. It always is with great games that you get emersed into and it's kinda what I've tried to do with this series. purposefully not researching the pack or watching other people's better MC videos has left me discovering everything for the first time, kinda like those heady early MC days. It's nice.
"Leg it leg it leg it run run OWW!" BWAHAHA!! I couldn't breath. I swear, at least once an episode I have to pause your videos so I can quit laughing too hard to hear the rest of your video! LMAO!!!
@@microcosmgaming Oh and yes, it was entirely meant to be complimentary my friend! Exactly how I meant it! And honestly, if you were 'trying' to be funny, the smell of effort would dull the actual hilarity. :D You sell it because it's just you being you. At least that's how it comes across. Much love good sir!

That tower roof is so satisfying! I love the shape you chose

@microcosmgaming
I do enjoy them but it still makes me sad that I can't play the mod myself
